Extended Family Weekend in Eagle, WI

Had 8 family members covering three generations stay together at this wonderful home to attend a wedding in nearby Wales. This house was great in all regards! Plenty of very nice indoor and outdoor gathering spaces and all guests were comfortable in their bedrooms. Very cool and spacious lower level provides opportunitiy for both kids and adults to "play" and outdoor areas are very private and serene. Host was extremely courteous and proactive - there were no issues that needed to be addressed. Would definitely recommend this house!

Wonderful Place

This property was a dream! Beautiful setting, and close to all the amenities. We loved the ample space for gathering, whether around the kitchen table or on the deck. Impeccably decorated and cozy, it’s perfect for a gathering of friends or family. The hosts were wonderful, providing ideas for activities nearby in addition to a gift basket upon arrival full of Wisconsin treats. You’ll love your stay here!

Bridesmaids’ Perfect Getaway

Our daughter and her Bridal party had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous retreat in Eagle! The place is lovely both inside and out! It is not often that I think a place looks even better than the pictures (and this place looks great in pics too), but this place does. It was the perfect place for us to unwind before and after the rehearsal dinner about 15 minutes away. Not to mention, a beautiful and well-appointed place to get ready for the wedding in nearby Wales, WI. Loved the awesome bedrooms and the great mirrors for getting dressed. We were just bummed that we could not spend more time there. Our hosts left a lovely welcome basket with goodies for the Bride, which was such a nice touch. Alexa loved all of it and was so appreciative of the gift. We unfortunately did not really get a chance to communicate a lot with the owners because we were knee deep with wedding festivities and I am recovering from a recent car accident. However, they had everything perfect for us and we did not need to reach out. We would definitely love to stay there again and really enjoy all the wonderful features!

Lovely, Comfortable Getaway

Our family, 6 adults and two young children spent two nights at Nate and Joan’s welcoming Eagle retreat. From the moment we entered the driveway, we were delighted by the beautiful and immaculately kept landscaping and the large, handsome house. We immediately felt welcome. The house is perfect for gatherings such as ours. It has several really nice spaces for large groups to gather and to dine: upstairs, downstairs, inside or outside. There are also some nice small spaces for one or a few people to enjoy alone or together: a nice sitting room that overlooks the wetland area behind the house, the rocking chairs on the front porch and the exercise room. The five bedrooms are good-sized with comfortable beds, nice quality linens and lots of pillows. Nate and Joan are responsive, accommodating hosts. The house was replete with nice little touches to provide comforts and delights, from the gift basket packed with snacks and sweet treats to a tic tac toe game with painted rocks as the markers and a stump as the board next to the playhouse in the back yard. There are boxes of toys for kids and books and games all. The kitchen is stocked with spices and all the utensils and space needed to comfortably prepare meals. We could go on. There was a lot to like. Nate and Joan obviously put a lot of thought and energy into providing an accommodating place to spend a relaxing stay. We thoroughly enjoyed ours. In the end, we have but one complaint –we didn’t arrange to stay longer.

Beautiful Home

The house was perfect for our group, 7 adults, twin 5-year old boys, a 3-year old girl and an infant. The house was even better than the description. The house was clean, well apportioned, and very comfortable. Beautiful deck, beautiful yard, great location. We will definitely try to stay here again the next time we have reason to be in the Milwaukee area.

Beautiful haven!

This property is immaculate, so tastefully appointed, fully equipped, quiet and peaceful, and a wonderful environment for our family gathering. Nate and Joan were so easy to communicate with, and their hospitality leaves nothing to be desired. There were toys, scooters, sports equipment, a full workout center, a luxurious hot tub and many seating areas in which to gather, that all of us, ages 2-70+ were delighted and entertained. We would love to see Eagle Retreat covered in snow. We hope to come back!

Exceptional Stay!

We really enjoyed staying at this property. Nate and Joan were super nice and very responsive. Probably one of our best stay. Our group enjoyed the quiet wilderness and the amenities provided in the house. Host took care of every single detail in the house. We didn't had to carry much. Highly recommend this place! We will definitely go back again.

The best Vrbo I’ve ever stayed at

I use Vrbo a lot. This house was unreal. Surpassed all expectations and was the most amazing property to stay on. Nathan was fast to respond. Super helpful and went above and beyond as a host. Cannot recommend this house or owner enough.

Great mini family reunion getaway

Our extended family, including kids and grandparents, throughly enjoyed our stay. The home was exceptionally clean and well-appointed, with tons of space for everyone. We loved all the games and toys for the kids, the lovely outdoor spaces to relax and play, and the stocked workout room was an added bonus. A short drive led us to a great hike, 4+ miles. We unfortunately ran out of time and didn’t get a chance to go biking, where the area is known for many mountain biking trails, some of the best in the Midwest. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had before or during our stay.

Outstanding Home

I VRBO a lot and this was one of the top five places I've stayed in. One of the best supplied kitchens I've seen. They have every spice you need, every pan you need, and well-equipped drawers with any utensil you need. You will love the furniture - solid, comfortable, well maintained. The group loved the home and the surrounding property. Highly recommend this place.

Magical Eagle Retreat

My friends and I were looking for a place to have a long overdue reunion getaway not too far from Milwaukee. We couldn’t have dreamed of a more welcoming and magical place. The day we arrived, we made dinner and ate at the table on the patio and saw fireflies and butterflies, and a majestic heron circled us as we broke bread. The land has beautiful energy and is close to trails and adventures just steps away. As far as amenities go, the kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets throughout the home. Each bedroom was well appointed and cozy. Wifi was fast, and we were able to mirror our laptop onto the living room TV to share online videos. We also loved the fire pit and hot tub. The home is well designed and built, and everything - every door, every appliance, every toilet, worked well. There are plenty of spaces to gather or find privacy. We spent most of our five days and nights in the home just connecting by candlelight or the fire pit. It was one of our most memorable and rejuvenating get togethers. Nathan and Joan, your home was a gift that we are deeply grateful for! We will forever remember our Eagle Summer Retreat 2023. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space for the world to enjoy.

Beautiful Home and perfect location.

We are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts coming to Milwaukee for the Harley Davidson 120th. Anniversary. The location from Milwaukee was perfect and allowed for some scenic rides back and forth. The home is absolutely beautiful and nestled in the woods for a perfect getaway. The owner was very responsive to all my questions and quite welcoming. We communicated several times over email and he was clear that if anything was needed to just reach out to him. He allowed us to use the garage to store our motorcycles each night which kept them out of the elements. I would highly recommend checking this place out as it has every possible amenity to could need, to include an exercise room, Sonos sound system, hot tub and so much more. Nate was wonderful to work with. Planning a vacation to Wisconsin? Don’t pass this place up!!

Gorgeous space, perfect getaway!

This was by far one of the best spaces I have stayed in. It was absolutely gorgeous, clean, comfortable beds, and had any amenity you could possibly need- from a range of spices, to towels for the hot tub, to a workout space that had all kinds of equipment AND bottled water, to wood for the outdoor fire pit, to sandwich bags and foil. Nate and Joan were communicative and available as needed. They left us such a fun snack basket and even included balloons for my partner’s birthday that we were there celebrating. So thoughtful. Our group had the absolute best time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend this rental!

Amazing clean house with plenty of room, well stocked and gorgeous views out the back of the home relaxing in the hot tub. Excellent communication with owner and his wife. We had a wonderful weekend. Would love to come back when we get the chance.

Outlaw weekend

It was truly wonderful to be away from the city for a while. A secluded getaway with all the amenities you could need. Would be great in the summer or winter and the hosts are nothing but helpful.

Fall friends getaway

My friends and I had an absolutely amazing time in Eagle! Communicating with the owner was very simple and they quickly responded to our questions. The property is private and open yet close enough to town in case you need anything for your stay. The property had everything you could want for entertainment. The property was adorably decorated and really made it feel like a special fall getaway. We may likely make this our go to place for our annual trip.

Amazing Property!

This property was selected, by my media club, with the intent of exploring the local attractions. The plan was to go horse-back riding, hiking, and explore the small, quaint communities surrounding Eagle, Wisconsin. We never left the property! From the moment we drove up to the house, we were impressed by the care and attention to detail that lent itself to creating a welcoming first impression. The house is incredibly well- appointed. The kitchen is a cook's dream, as it has everything one needs to prepare a variety of meals. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The great room was fantastic! The large television was perfect for a group that reviews movies and documentaries on a monthly basis. The outdoor space lent itself to playing a variety games. Additionally, there were tons of in-door gaming options offered as well as a fully equipped work-out room. Nate was amazing in responding promptly to my inquiries.The family left a welcome basket chocked full of local goodies that was very much appreciated. I look forward to re-visiting this property in the future!

Exceptional stay.

Our family rented this property for a family wedding. Everything from reserving to check in to check out was great. Absolutely Perfect

I cannot say enough great things about both the property and the property owners. If you want a comfortable family-friendly home, this is your spot. Owners: The property owner that I was in contact with, Nate, was an excellent communicator and very attentive. I asked numerous Qs before arriving about all the various elements of the property and the surrounding area, and he responded very quickly and with great detail! I felt welcome even before I stepped foot on the property. Once we did step in the door, the hospitality continued. The owners provided an adorable welcome basket filled with local treats and wine, as well as a welcome guide that gave recommendations for local attractions- which we used. Home: The house is absolutely gorgeous. We had multiple children under the age of 8, and sometimes rental homes can be difficult to accommodate for kids of different ages. This house had it all: playhouse (with toys!), sandpit, basketball hoop, big yard, tree swing, garden, fire pit for s’mores, hot tub, and multiple TVs for movies. My mom also rocked my 1 year old daughter to sleep out on the front porch swing. When the kiddos went to sleep, we had glasses of wine on the deck, then played some darts and lawn games. We had a blast, and there were activities and games for everyone. There’s also a grill on the deck with plenty of outdoor deck furniture to relax for a big family. We grilled out multiple nights! I also want to give a shout out to how beautifully decorated the home is. The log cabin, wilderness vibe throughout every room really adds to the overall experience if you are escaping from a more suburb/city lifestyle as my family was. The home has lots of blankets and pillows to make you feel comfortable, and it’s stocked with all the kitchen utensils you need for a family. Property location: This house is also located in a beautiful, convenient spot right along hiking trails on the Kettle Moraine State Park. We went out walking every day, and really enjoyed the trail closest to the house along the road the driveway is located, as it’s very easy with strollers and young kids. We also spent a day at Palmyra Beach, only 10 mins away! Adorable swimming spot with a playground and picnic tables. Our family had a fantastic time- on the last day, the kids were already asking when we can come back! We will definitely book this rental again! :)
