Jeffrey, We are glad you enjoyed your stay. The road is a little bumpy at times. Not an uncommon road leading to a lot of lake houses. I look at it as being part of the charm. :) LOL

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Unfortuantly, cobwebs outside is just a part of nature and lake living. We do knock all of that down prior to a guest arrival but they will be back the next day. There isn't a lot you can do about that. As for the hot water, I wish you had made us aware. Had you called us we would have sent someone out. That home has 2 fairly new hot water heaters and no one else has said anything about not having hot water. I'm sorry you experienced that but we can't take care of what we don't know.

I am very surprised by your review. The landscapers were there the day before you arrived. The lawn was mowed and everything was weedeaten. As for the home, all floors were both swept and mopped. All carpets and rugs vacuumed. There is a trash can on the lower level. It sits beside the mini fridge in the bar area. The kitchen is completely stocked with enough plates, bowls etc for 10 plus people. We have lots of pots and pans, baking dishes, blenders, toaster, etc. Maybe you didn't explore the many cabinets in the kitchen. If you were unable to locate these things I wish you had just given us a call.

I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Unfortuantly, cob webs are part of lake living. You can knock them down and the very next day they are back. We do clean all of that prior to all rentals. As for the landscaping...not sure of the issue there. Our landscaper was there the day prior to your arrival. If there were issues with the tvs you should have called us and I would have sent someone out. As for fruit flies, I was in the home right after you left and I never saw any fruit flies. However, what I did see was the broken glass you left out in a bag where your grandchild broke our new fryer. You did make me aware of that and I told you not to worry about it and we would not charge you. I wasn't expecting it to be left out where someone could get cut on it. I also found all of the nasty diapers downstairs that were shoved in a plastic waste basket with no trash bag stinking up the house. I also found all of the pee stained bedding that rather than you guys taking the time to throw in the washer you just left out to dry and stain so that had to be replaced. I also found all of the hair left behind by your shedding dogs. Regardless, this is a lovely home and most people really enjoy their stay here. I guess the old saying is true, you can't please everyone.

Donna, We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay. We do have a landscaper that comes every week. It can be a tough yard to upkeep when there is a period with a lot of rain or guest that are staying for a week or longer. We do the best we can and most of the time it really does look great.

Adam, We agree, you would not come back. You were not the cleanest guest we've ever had and things were missing and or broken when you left. The home is not dated and has no old smell to it at all. You are the very first person we've ever heard say that. It is true that the road leading to the home is long and can be somewhat bumpy. This isn't uncommon for a lot of lake homes. However, you do NOT need an SUV or truck to go down this road. There are cars that travel this road daily with no issues. You just can't go speeding down the road and that is true whether it is a car, truck, or SUV. The Energy plant is across the lake to the left of the home. Unless you are down on the beach it really isn't noticable. As for the dock, we clean it before each stay. However, you are on a lake and you can knock down the webs but they will be right back the next morning. It's a lake home, this is common. If you can't deal with nature maybe you shouldn't be taking vacations at a lake front property. BTW...we also keep the yard exterminated as well. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy yourself but you were not a bed of roses for us either. I'll just quote you...happy hunting!
