We had a great time. The house is large & had plenty of living space & sleeping arrangements for family to spend time together. We were able to fish & enjoy some time near the water. The house is well stocked.

Port Alto

Great property for large family or multiple families - Two families with kids would fit nicely. Clean and well maintained. Likely good for folks with a boat, though we didn’t bring one. Also being ground level, easy access for elderly or disabled. Accommodating landlords who take pride in their home also makes a difference.

This property was wonderful. Close to other locations to fish. Only situation I did not like, was not told or warned of alligator in water directly behind house and around pier.

Paradise

Want to start off by saying the pics don't do justice to the home. The pics are nice but looks even better in person! The host were super friendly and helpful! The home has everything we needed and the outdoor area was awesome to hang out in and watch TV.The best part for our family was the private Dock!!! Is was well maintained and the green lights were a plus. My son caught a variety of fish species and couldn't get him off the dock.This is our new favorite getaway spot and will be returning soon!!

Beautiful Home

The home was beautiful and great view of the water. The road access was not paved and muddy, so slightly treacherous. Also, their was dog hair on all of the sheets and blankets. When I let the owner know, she said she would tell the housekeeper but did not offer any discount for us. We did not feel comfortable sleeping under the covers, so we got blankets out of the closet to sleep on and their was still dog hair on them. Overall, it was a very nice home and clean, but very disappointing not to have a clean bed to sleep in.

Watch out for the Vrbo fees... Extremely high IMO. We will consider booking with others and pay more attention to the fees.

Family fishing trip!

We had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend with our whole family. The accommodations are amazing with beautiful views and lots of space inside and out. The house is clean and well stocked with everything you need for a great stay. The fishing pier was a huge success with our whole family we really loved this place and we will definitely be back!!!

TX Respite

Good location for clean living... We bring four grown men and five pre-teens with us every time and its never shy of a good time. We come to TX to duck hunt, but we always catch fish on the dock when we're not in the blind. We've been in sunshine, heat, rain, and cold and there's always a place for us inside or out of the home. Not our first time down and won't be our last!

Coastal getaway

This property is absolutely beautiful, the hosts thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible, they are the first hosts that have ever checked on us midway thru our stay to make sure everything was going good and we we’re enjoying our stay!!! A great time was had by us and our friends.

Excellent bay house

Very much enjoyed the calm and quiet. The house was super clean and in great shape. Fishing was off due to the strong breeze and heat, but that's why they call it fishing and not catching! There was lots of room and both the living room and dining room were comfortable for visiting.

Bay house

We do a yearly family get away. I was hot, wind was blowing hard for 3 days. The vacation home was really great. All the family had a great time. If you. Want a vacation home that lets your family get some quality time together- this is it. The patio is great. Great view. The boat ramp is ok. (Not buzzzy) A boat works out good. Missed the broken ice machine. Fished on pier- enough fish to make it fun. Pier lights are great. The walk out there is dark/ no handrails. Crab traps were fun. Ac was great. House was well stocked and clean. We left it even cleaner when we left. I’d like to thank the owners for letting us make these special memories, we will have for a long time D&G The owners jumped on any questions- with answers

Relaxing getaway

We love this place as it is so relaxing and accommodating. The owners were nice and gracious. It is such a peaceful place and we all enjoyed it. The kids enjoyed catching small fish and the adults were happy to have R&R. Thanks for letting us stay at this lovely home. Memories !

Shanna - my dad was a Coastie stationed in Port O'Connor years ago so Port Lavaca has always had a special place in my heart! I'm so glad to be able to bring back those childhood memories and make new ones! We currently live in Austin but get down to Port Alto every chance we get!

Bradley - Fish Fish Fish! What more to say??

We have three (almost) grown kids - 26, 22 and 18! Our youngest loves to fish! This is a second home for us and we are happy to share it and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

We love the neighborhood! Go back in time when life was taken slow, cell phones did not exists and we waved and smile at everyone we met! It's such a friendly place and we are so excited to share it with you! Our street is like old timey Main Street U.S.A. where we used spend our Friday nights going from one end to the other! Down here, its just golf cart traffic!
