Everything in good working order. Location was convenient. Opps to improve: could use a few new pans -- most skillets were old, non-stick coating coming off. Water pressure in master shower pretty low.

Glad you and most guests like the location and I am sorry I was not in Nassau to welcome you personally. I am presently in Denver but the housekeeper reminded me to bring additional pots with me when I return next week. Nearly all previous guests comment on the full assortment of kitchen utensils, china, cutlery and linen available to guests but I always welcome comments on anything that can be improved. In fact I am bringing additional pots and other supplies with me when I return to Nassau in two weeks. Again, thank you for choosing my house.

Quiet and comfortable

We had such a great time at this property!!! Far enough from the crowds but easy enough to get to downtown when we wanted to. The grounds were amazing with mango, avocado, papayas trees.

Home away from home

This was our 5th visit to the Bahamas and 2nd time staying here at Sandford Palms. Our Family enjoys the hospitality of our host Angela and the house feels like home. It’s a good size so we have enough room for everyone and the gardens throughout the property are appreciated. The location is great if you plan on renting a vehicle, it’s very central and close to the beach.

The property was perfect for our family of 5.

Our trip to Nassau was wonderful and having the convenience of Angela's house as a home base was a blessing. It had all the conveniences of our home in the US with tons of space for us all. Angela was very pleasant and went out of her way to make our kids feel at home over the Easter Holiday. We would definitely stay at her property again.

Superb Vacation Rental

Communication with the host was excellent. Check in simple. Perfectly clean. It's about 20 minutes to the airport and 15 to downtown. The pictures are accurate. The host can recommend a driver if you are hesitant about left-side driving. I would stay again.

Delightful group. Left the place impeccably clean. Housekeeper was amazed!!! She asked “who were these people? You sure they stayed here?!!!!” Not only that- they were environmentally friendly - you know the kind who turned off the AC when leaving to spend the day out, recycling ie placiing bottles in separate containers,etc.,, leaving me helpful notes. Wow! Would love for them to come back at a discount. So glad they chose my house!❤️

Spring Break with teens

The pool is the star of this property. The property is very clean. The owner lives on site. This is not a stand alone unit. The large window facing the pool is the owner's unit. The windows were all open. That is not disclosed in the listing. We do not enjoy mingling with the hpst.

It was a pleasure hosting you and your family and I am glad you enjoyed the house, especially the pool. Note that when I am in Nassau, I live UPSTAIRS in a separate apartment. But I do spend much of my time in Denver Colorado with my daughter, who is an attorney there, and my grandkids. The unit downstairs next door to the 3-bedroom spartment is an unoccupied Studio apartment which is not completely ready for rental. I am in the process iof adding final touches because I get so many requests from guests for a separate unit to house their mother-in-law or Auntie who want a separate “space”. But I will never rent to two separate families. I was happy that I was able to meet you. I hope you will return when all the vegetables which were planted while you were here (by my neice and nephew who live in Freeport, Grand Bahama) are ready for harvest.

Great Home Away From Home

This was a great home away from home! The accommodations were superb and everything was very comfortable. The location was fairly central to everything and easy to access. The outer grounds were beautiful and it was especially nice to have the various trees in the property identified. The host was most accommodating and even went above and beyond picking us up from the airport and taking us to get some clothes after our luggage did not arrive. We would stay here again!

Wonderful

My family and I had a wonderful stay in February. Everything was exactly as described. Property was very clean and welcoming. My kids lived in the pool! Any issue you may have is dealt with promptly and professionally. Highly recommended this property and hope to return!

Love this place!!!!

This place is worth every penny and more. The house really makes you feel at home in the Bahamas. It literally has everything you could need like a giant pool in the front and a beautiful garden filled with locally grown fruits and veggies. My wife and I and four of our friends came to the Bahamas for a friends wedding and we couldn’t have chose a better place to call home for a week . Our host was the sweetest lady you could meet . She welcomed us personally with a tour of the property as well as a welcoming basket filled with the islands delights. She made sure to make us fill very welcomed and the communication was excellent as well. we had so much fun that we are already planning our trip next year to come back and visit. We will definitely be staying here when ever we come back. Recommend 10/10

Great place for a family and close to everything!

Angela was a great host! Just a quick phone call away for whatever we needed during our stay. The house is great, 3 good size bedrooms. We were 6, 2 young daughters (4and 6) me and my wife, and grandparents. It had plenty of space for all of us. The pool is great for kids and adults as well haha. Location is good, just a 4 minute drive to Goodman's Bay beach, and 10 minutes to downtown Nassau. Highly recommend for a family, and Angela is a great host!

Great stay at perfectly located home

Angela has a beautiful home that she takes a lot of pride in. She maintains the property well and has people come in to fix anything needed. This was a perfect little getaway for our family and is within driving distance to all the things we’d hope to do/see. I would recommend renting a vehicle as was super easy to get around but might be possible to use transit we just didn’t look into it. The place is very spacious and had a lot of the cooking appliances we wanted access to while there. Would highly recommend and hope to be back again in the future!

Dream Vacation

Spent an amazing week in this rental. A beautiful beach nearby, as well as the fish fry restaurants, the Straw market and other tourist attractions. The people were very friendly and welcoming. All the comforts of home along with a private pool. Angela was caring and genuine, and available for questions. The left hand drive on vehicles was a surprise but doable. The rental was beyond our expectations, the four of us were very pleased.

The owner of the property served for 30 years in top positions with the Ministry of Tourism and is fully familiar with the needs of the most discerning visitor.
The property was originally her family home in a lovely neighbourhood. Because of its size and attractiveness, it was the popular location for family celebrations, pool parties, Sunday barbecues and other events.
Now that the family has moved away, and my daughter is away from home practising law in USA, I converted the home to a vacation rental so that others can enjoy this beautiful property. The owner stays in a separate unit in the split level portion of the property

We bought the property because of its location in a nice neighbourhood and because the house has great character, with large rooms, back and front patios, pool and garden with interesting foliage and native plants which attract a large number of birds. One of its biggest assets is the central location just minutes away from the beaches, hotel resorts like BahaMar, restaurants, downtown area, Ardastra Gardens, Fish Fry and other tourist attractions.

Guests can commute by bus or car to all of the activities available in Nassau - Swimming with the Dolphins, Flamingo Show at Ardastra Gardens zoo, shark diving, parasailing,water skiing, snorkelling , golf, etc. and then come home and enjoy the comfort and privacy of this spacious property, where they can create their own culinary delights and dine by the pool, in the gazebo or the large dining room. Many guests spend much of their time at home, enjoying barbecues at the pool. and the kids enjoy the large assortment of old movies (Classics and Academy Award movies). The house is well equipped with all of the comforts of home, including a variety of appliances. It is a great way to enjoy a vacation on a budget because the house is so well equipped and there is only a flat rental fee, with absolutely no hidden costs.
