Owner won't fix dishwasher.
The dishwasher was broken, and the owner only said she was going to take care of it when she came down after I left. She said that is why she gave a discount on the price. But renting a place with no dishwasher for 10 days over the holidays is something I should have been able to make a choice on. I was spending the holiday with my son and planned on extensive cooking and baking and a broken dishwasher was unacceptable. And her discounted listing did not seem any different than other listings. Her final solution was that I shouldn't do the dishes and she'd do them when she came down! Really? I'm supposed to live with dishes piling up in the sink for 10 days?
Lighting in the place was very substandard, with multiple fixtures not working or only partially working. If you want to cook, don't expect much beyond basics. Only spices were Salt, Pepper, Onion, Red Pepper Flakes, and Garlic.
