Ciindy was a wonderful guest Would love to have her stay again. I am so sorry I was sick when she was here.

It was a pleasure to host Shannon. They took great care of our cabin and I would gladly host them again.

If she had read our description of what is in the cabin, she would have seen that we do not have central heat in the cabins. I told her when she called that we did not have central heat that we had a fireplace, a propane heater and electric heat in the bedrooms. The large propane heater would heat entire downstairs and and as heat rises, the upstairs also. We do have electric heat for the bedrooms and bathrooms. She should have come to the office by 10:00 the first morning if she had expected to get a refund. I talked with another member of her party when he called to apologize for her and said the reason there was smoke in the cabin was that he failed to pull the screen in front of the fireplace to keep the logs from rolling out of the fireplace. One had rolled out onto the hearth and just lay there smoking the place up. If it had not been a stone hearth, we would have lost the cabin as it has hardwood floors. He said it was no problem for him or his family to sleep downstairs. As for being rude and short with her, I told her she would have to go through VRBO to get a refund as she rented through them they had her money. I talked with agent at VRBO about giving her a refund when they sent me a notice that she wanted a refund. I was told that I did not have to give her a refund at all, but I did give her a refund of $100.00 I think she felt that we should give her a total refund for that whole day and night when she had stayed until 2:30 in the afternoon. That kept the cabin tied up where it could not be rented that day if someone had called wanting it. She did call VRBO and the lady there said she tried to tell them that we had no heat in the cabins. I was angry when I heard that as it was a tOTAL lie. As for the pictures not matching the property. Our pictures were taken in the summer. The only difference is leaves on trees in summer and no leaves on the trees now. The pictures were taken by a professional photographer. She is the first person to ever say that the pictures did not match the property. We are located at one end of a long valley. We have mountain views all the way valley. We do NOT ever want this person back and would suggest that no one else ever rent to her unless you want to have a very disagreeable person that feels she is entitled to stay and not have to pay for it if she so choses. If do not do what she wants, she will lie about your place.

I am sorry you were not satisfied with our cabin. I did expect you to not be satisfied with our cabin as you had already ask us to cancel your reservation. We are very disappointed on the condition you left our home. There was garbage and disarray everywhere. Took extra cleaners to get the cabin cleaned..
