There was a very nice cafe/coffee shop within walking distance. Shops and grocery stores were a 2 min drive from the house.

This house was conveniently located for us to be close to our family in KC. The beds and pillows were not comfortable.

This house was a great home for our family. Came up for a KC Chiefs game. Everyone had a nice private space. The only downfall I can say about this place is the Stairs. Driveway is steep. If you can’t climb stairs this is not the house for you. Otherwise we loved it. Boris was great to deal with. House was super clean. In a very nice neighborhood.

decent stay

It was clean and everything worked, such as appliances and TV etc. Inside is a bit dated and some furniture is a bit worn around the edges. Very steep driveway and steep entry steps to front door makes it difficult for some people. Sort of a junky front and back yard. Beds were comfortable. Living room is nice. Overall it met our needs but we will not stay here again since there are better options in the area. Host was good and available.

Chiefs trip

Came to town for the game, some family and a couple of friends right total, the house was nice and fit our needs. Drive way was pretty steep

Neat property

We enjoyed staying at this property. However when asked for direct feedback by the owner on a few things that could use improvements - it was unacknowledged. Seems they didn’t care much for it to begin with.

House needs some updating

Great location, somewhat clean (cob webs, upstairs bathroom shower did not work, inside needs new paint, back yard and deck need some work, baseboards have a thick layer of dust and dirt). Pictures of property seem to be from awhile ago.

Safety issues

We recently stayed at this property for a 5 nights. The property is as described in the listing but could use some attention. Overall it was a nice enough stay and met our needs, but there are issues with the home, most importantly, are three major safety issues. First, the windows in the basement do not lock. Close inspection will show that the locks do not work and the windows can easily be slid open. We used coat hanger to try and prevent the sliding. Second, all the mechanical systems for the home are in the basement, but there is no carbon monoxide detector on that level even though there is a bedroom located in adjacent to the mechanical room. We purchased our own for use during our stay. There are carbon monoxide detectors on the other levels. Lastly, the front steps are poorly maintained and are an odd size creating a larger than usual step that would be difficult for someone with mobility issues to maneuver. Steps are pulling away from the front porch and a home repair was attempted unsuccessfully creating more issues. And the hand rail is very loose. Smaller issues: the overall cleanliness of the home could use improvement, bugs and spiders in the home, trash in places it should not have been if the home were thoroughly cleaned between guests, a full ashtray including a nasty looking cigar stub on the deck, oven does not heat to temp, landscaping is overgrown leaving yard useless, and master shower runs cold or scalding.

Would not stay here again

The house was not maintained. I called Boris to let him know that the dishes/kitchen were dirty, the towels were still in the dryer, the backyard had beer cans, garbage, beer bottle caps in the yard, and the railing was broke on the inside stairs. He asked me to send him an email. I included the fact that we only had one wash cloth and asked them to bring us more wash clothes. He credited the cleaning fee but never responded to my email. As the week went on, we discovered the back door was broken, the furnace air filter was dirty, the yard overgrown and unkept, the outside garbage cans were full, the kitchen towel in the cabinet was extremely dirty, was supposed to have a 2 car garage but there was a boat in half of it, fire alarm was hanging down in hallway, front outside railing loose, etc.

Quick Stay in Kansas

We were in town for the weekend and enjoyed the property. Clean, close to grocery store and restaurants. Neighborhood was quiet. The house is comfortable and sizeable for large family.

Easy Quick Stay

Super nice quiet neighborhood. Came up to KC for the American Royal Cutting Horse Show. Didn't want to stay downtown, so this was closer to home and not too far away from the arena!

Overall good for our purpose

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Two families of 3 were extremely comfortable, plenty of space, didn’t need to use the additional two rooms! So you could sleep more. Beautiful neighborhood, close to our wedding venue. Big backyard and nice spot to grill. We did have to replace the propane. Unfortunately we were given wrong door code to get in so we could not check in in a timely manner. Could not change before rehearsal dinner! Boris was quick about giving us the correct code, within 30 minutes or so. We had to address the upstairs hall shower, it was not draining properly but once we got it going and unclogged it was just fine. The deck stairs to the patio outback were not attached, felt like this was a potential safety hazard. The inside was clean to an extent, but this home needs a deep cleaning. Looks like spot cleaned between rentals, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. The downstairs is an awesome spot, even without a bathroom, as there is a half bath right at the top of the stairs. I would definitely stay here again with my family!

Nice stay, close to many different things

Check in and check out process was excellent and easy. Location is fantastic. Very close to places in Overland Park and only an easy 20-30 min drive to downtown KC. Property has many sleeping spots. Not very roomy for a family of 12 in terms of interior space (not many places are), but not a big deal since we were out and about a lot. We enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you!

Clean and comfortable

Our stay was clean, comfortable, and just as listed. We used the house as our home base for cousin camp and everyone was comfortable. When we had a minor problem with trash, Boris was responsive and quick to take care of it. I can highly recommend this property.
