AMAZING, WONDERFUL, VERY CLEAN AND COZY!!!! We had 7 adults and was very comfortable with the accommodations. I travel often and usually need to buy items because the host didn't provide the basics. However, you will not need to do that here...EVERYTHING IS HERE, just look for it. Communication was very easy and fast. The location was great and we felt very safe. We will DEFINITELY stay here again. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

Simple check-in, plenty of parking! Kitchen was large and well appointed. Bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable. Pet friendly! My Schnauzer mix fur baby had so much fun and had toys to play with. (Bad mom forgot to bring her toys). This home held 4 generations of my family. It accomidated grief, sorrow, laughs, tears, and so so many stories. Some i didnt know. The host Ms. Penny makes sure you have all the essentials and goes beyond. There was milk, eggs, bacon, and biscuits in the fridge. Cereal, oatmeal....oh and hot chocolate. My children were so excited. Lol! This BnB brought me a moment's peace in the hurricane loss of my Grandmother. We will be back for any other travel to Lake Charles.

Amazing

We were so impressed with the house. It was accessible for our adult son that is a wheelchair user. Lots of space for him to get around and the doors were wide for him to get in and out of all rooms. Very clean and comfortable.

Home away from home :)

First, this home is so cozy, comfortable and location were top tier!! You truly feel like you are home. My husband and I are from the area (left after Rita) and this home was so conveniently located where my family members could come and enjoy the huge outdoor space this home offers. I give Penny and her home 5 plus stars. We will definitely be re-booking this place!!

Clean and Spacious Home

Our family stayed at Penny's home during our stay in Lake Charles. This is by far the most tastefully decorated, clean, and well stocked VRBO we have ever stayed at! It truly felt like staying in a close relatives home. It had everything we needed and so much more. It was within minutes of everywhere we weanted to go. Definitely recommend!

Great stay!

My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were very friendly, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. This Vrbo was walking distance from some Lake Charles staples (Mazen's, and Darrell's), and a quick 5 minute drive to the casinos. Would definitely book here again for future trips.

Everything that they advertised that this home had was absolutely correct. They have everything that you could possibly need. They were so helpful with any questions that I had and I would definitely stay here over and over and over again when I’m in Lake Charles..

Always a charm

This visit was our 3rd at the property. Hostess never disappoints with decor, cleanliness and of course all of the nice extras. Coffee, snacks, and King Cake. We will certainly return in the near future

Our trip to Lake Charles

The location was perfect for us since it was close to our son's business. It was close to the shops and parks we wanted to visit. This house was very family friendly and all of us enjoyed the comfortable space where we could be together. Thanks for your hospitality!

The house is in a great location, close to everything and only a short drive to the casinos. Everything was very clean and had everything you could need. We would love to stay here again.

Penny is an excellent host

Penny was quick to respond, readily available for any questions. The property is absolutely comfortable and cozy. We immediately felt at home. When using VRBO or other sites to rent a spot, there are always included fees. You felt treated well and the complimentary breakfast items and snacks make the worry of fees suddenly disappear. I use this site often to rent and this included was a first for me. I would highly recommend the rental for any needs, it has plenty of room for a group to relax and sleep. The location is excellent, as it was very close to anything we wanted to do or see. 10/10 highly recommend!

My husband & I are both in our 50's. He is an attorney here in Lake Charles at a local firm. I work part-time for him. We have a 24 year old daughter. My husband is a native Louisianian, born and raised on the bayou below Baton Rouge. He moved to Lake Charles after graduating law school. I am originally from California, but have lived in Lake Charles since I was in high school. We are big LSU fans! Geaux Tigers! We also love the Houston Astros! We live about 20-30 minutes north of Lake Charles on a farm. I have goats, donkeys, cats, dogs and rabbits.

We purchased this house about 20 years ago and it served as my husband's law office until he recently joined a firm. We love the property and the location so we decided to keep it and turn it back into a house, use it when we want to stay in Lake Charles and the rent it as a bed and breakfast the rest of the time. We repainted walls, put in all new doors, new counters in both bathrooms, new sink and tub in one of the bathrooms. All the furnishings, linens, dishes, cooking items, etc are brand new! It is such a great location very centrally located to everything in Lake Charles. It is a mixed residential/commercial neighborhood. The businesses that are located near us are quiet businesses (Medical supplies and Insurance Agency) who operate Monday-Friday, 8:00 - 5:00. Never in the evenings, never on the weekends. There is some daytime noise from I-210, but there very little traffic on College St or I-210 in the evenings or at night. When we don't have it rented we will stay here sometimes when we go to events in town (since we live about 30 minutes from Lake Charles), so I can verify that noise is very minimal.

Inside, there are 3 bedrooms that will comfortably sleep 6. In addition, there are 2 separate living areas that can be completely closed off for privacy and used for sleeping (I provide 2 Queen size air mattresses).

In one of the living areas is a "business center" that has a computer, printer and office supplies if someone is travelling for business.

There is a very large backyard (including a fenced in area that is specifically set up as a doggy yard, complete with a dog house!). There is tons of parking in the front & back. Back concreted area can double as a "basketball area" as well. There is also a 2 car covered carport, patio area with a table, umbrella, chairs and a BBQ grill.

This property suffered substantial damage in Hurricane Laura and has been completely renovated with new flooring, cabinets, walls, etc.
