Mountain Paradise

Rancho la Chula is a dream house with out of this world views of the mountains! If you want luxury and complete privacy, book it! We had everything we needed and hitting golf balls into the trees was a bonus! The hot tub in the morning for coffee was a great way to start the day! Watching the sunset from the observation deck was breathtaking. Ending the day back in the hot tub to watch the stars and enjoy a cocktail was just perfect! Just make sure you have an SUV or the drive up the mountain won't be fun. We loved everything about this mountain paradise!

I don't want you to know about this place.

We had a good and meaningful time here. The house and grounds are a joy to explore and entirely comfortable. The whole place worked well for our group of 8. Five people slept here with one on the coach and, three at another house. However, this was where we gathered after fly fishing for dinner and it was perfect. Also, Reid is great to work with.

Great Times at La Chula

We recently launched a new company and chose LA Chula as our first group retreat for the weekend. Everyone had an outstanding time and the experience that Steve and Reid have created for their guests is second to none! We will certainly be back for more visits in the future. Thanks!

Beautiful views

We stayed at the house for a wonderfully relaxing week. The views were awesome. I enjoyed watching the hummingbirds who visited frequently. We hiked the property and my husband loved hitting golf balls off the deck. So peaceful !

Love this place

It’s just east to be here. Great sunrises and sunsets, good stomping around the property, and hitting golf balls off the deck. Can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful visit with son at CU Boulder

Property is exactly as it appears (maybe better). It was an easy drive to Boulder (about 40 minutes). Use the route that goes through Nederland (it looks longer on the map, but it’s much less twisty than other routes). Great BBQ in Nederland, too.

Blissful peaceful Eden

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this property for a recent wedding in the Nederland area. The property is beautiful and well furnished, with a fully appointed kitchen, lovely bathrooms, and incredible outdoor living space. The Sonos speakers were a really nice feature, as was the driving range! We spent hours enjoying the hot tub and deck, listening to music, and driving balls off the deck. This property is truly unique and wonderful - such an incredibly beautiful location and a wonderful home. On top of all of this, the host was extremely responsive. The *one* potential downside is that it is a little far from the main road up a (totally manageable) dirt road. We opted to arrange private transportation to and from the wedding events as we knew there would be drinking, and some of the drivers struggled with access - partiuclarly since there is not reliable cell service in the area. For us, this was a very small price to pay for the serenity of the location, and in my opinion any car should be able to handle the road in in good weather.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

The house is immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and well-stocked - even better than the pictures! Reid was a very accessible property manager and made sure everything went smoothly and that we had what we needed. We came here as a good spot to rest in between hikes, but honestly we never wanted to leave the house. The perfect spot to relax and enjoy the mountains in solitude. Some additional notes: * The roads going up to the property are rough, so make sure you have a strong vehicle that can handle lots of unavoidable bumps and ruts. * Unfortunately couldn’t get the grill outside to light despite following the instructions and even watching some troubleshooting videos. Could have been user-error, but I’d recommend that the owners check it out just to be sure the ignition is functional! * None of the double glass doors leading to the outside seem to lock. Not a huge concern since the area is fairly remote, but wanted to call it out to the owners just in case it’s not a known issue. Overall, a wonderful stay! We hope to come back again!

Absolute Dream Home

This is an absolutely beautiful home. So well designed. Given a bad storm that blew in the previous days, everything was white and snowy. So hiking etc, was out of the picture. But it was soooo peaceful, so quiet and so perfect after 1 year of no travel/vacation. Nederland is a great little town only minutes away, and you can get to pretty much any place within a 30 mile drive— which goes by in a minutes as you awe yourself in the drive, mountains and everything else. So perfect that we are already planning our return visit!

Everything about this property; the location, the host, the views, the home, was INCREDIBLE! The host representative, Reid, was always accessible and excellent with communication. The house was perfect when we arrived. His instructions were spot on. We were impressed with this home. The owners have certainly paid attention to every detail, including the high end finishes in every room. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked. We were blessed with perfect fall weather, and spent most of our time while at home on the patios, or gathered around the kitchen island with the doors and windows open. We came to Colorado to spend time with friends while hiking. This property is ideally located within reasonable driving distance from Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Roosevelt National Forest, and many others. We were also close enough to Black Hawk and Century City to visit some of the casinos. I can’t give this property a high enough recommendation! We will be back next year!

Beautiful and amazing!

What a place! We had an issue with the fridge, it wasn’t cooling but they brought us a small new fridge same day! Perfect spot for my moms 60th. We relaxed in the hot tub staring at the mountains and stars. Directions were easy to follow. Felt like we were away from everyone and everything but it was only 20 mins to get into town. We will definitely stay again when we come back to Colorado.
