Significant birthday celebration in Madeira

We booked Villa Luzia for a significant family birthday celebration in Madeira. The villa was excellent all round! Located a short walk from central Funchal was a really plus. The facilities at the villa were excellent; the outside areas were fabulous and the pool and games room were a big hit with everyone. I would highly recommend Villa Luzia to anyone looking for an exceptional property in Funchal.

Funchal - Villa Luzia

This was our third time in Madeira and we stayed in different houses. This time for the first time in Funchal and so close to the center. I have to say, Villa Luzia is perfectly located. Close to the Center and in a very nice and quiet location. Ok, the dogs sometimes or the birds, parrot in the neighborhood......but hey, what about some of the neighbors at your place, house, neighborhood? We slept well and already miss the house. It was clean, it's big, it has everything and more. You feel like at home. It's just a few minutes' drive down to the harbor, shops, restaurant, you can also walk down, you can also go back by walk, if you like gradients :-) or take a taxi. We thought it was great and can only recommend it. The team at Our Madeira is really top. Thank you all! Can't wait to go back to Madeira.

Family holiday

A fabulous villa with great facilities for children and adults. Large comfortable bedrooms , lovely lounge Heated indoor swimming pool and we’ll equipped games room Took us 20 mins to walk into the heart of Funchal. Taxis reasonable to get back up the hill. Plenty of private parking for the car we hired. Would definitely book again

Excellent villa, we really enjoyed our stay

The villa is extremely well appointed with everything you would need for a holiday of two families totalling 10. With 6 older children (17- 22yrs) we were close enough to the night life for them, and far enough away for the adults to enjoy the views from the villa over looking the sea. The villa was extremely spacious with more than enough space for us all and the games room was perfect for team competition, so great fun!

60th birthday celebration with all the family.

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. We found everything that we needed for a wonderful family holiday. The villa was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. There was plenty of space inside the house and as we were three families there was still plenty of room . The bedrooms were very comfortable with luxury matresses and bedding. We made use of the swimming pool and there were plenty of toys for the children to play with in the pool.[the pool was a little cool] . We found the information provided by the rental company to be correct and Norbetta from the company was excellent she met us at the agreed times and always responded to our emails promptly I would have no hesitation in recommending this property or company to a friend or relative based on my experience with them. Norbetta also found a cook for us and this proved very successful. The only thing we had a slight problem with was pulling out on to the steep road when leaving the property but we soon overcame this having someone keep a look out for us to ensure it was safe. Nothing can describe more our impression about lovely villa Luzia than the fact we'll come this year for the 3rd time , in spite of the transport difficulty : TAP cancelled its flights so we were obliged to book LH for 650 eur / pers.

Perfect location. Lovely views.

This is a marvelous house for visiting Madeira! So spacious & confortable. And the beds...oh the beds! Scrumptious! The views of the city & the water were fantastic. It’s was such a pleasure to wake up to that view daily. The house is wonderfully equipped from kitchen to bathrooms to game room. We were two families with several young adults & no one got in anyone’s way. The location was great to walk into the city or grab a cab home if it was late. I could not imagine a better place to stay for a visit to Madeira!

Wir können die Villa nur jedem empfehlen, der Urlaub auf Madeira machen will: super gelegen, zu Fuß in die Stadt und zurück ist unproblematisch möglich, sehr gut ausgestattet, tolles Hallenbad mit Fitnessberech, klasse Spielzimmer. Die Betreuung vor Ort war ebenfalls sehr gut, tolle Restaurantempfehlungen und alles lief reibungslos. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne und entspannte Woche als Familie!

Fantastisch!!

Van alle gemakken voorzien, heerlijke bedden, huis nog mooier dan in de beschrijving, brandschoon. Grote benedenruimte met poolbiljart, tafeltennistafel etc. Prachtig zwembad, fantastisch terras met adembenemend uitzicht. Bovendien een geweldige service voor en tijdens ons verblijf door Norberta, Carolina en Linda van Our Madeira. Op loopafstand van het centrum (wel steil), erg leuk stadje. Kortom een vakantie om nooit meer te vergeten. We waren met z'n achten van 2 tot 63 jaar. Iedereen heeft alleen maar genoten.

A beautiful luxurious and spacious villa

Lots of space inside and out. Especially loved the views, the games room and the swimming pool (although a little bit cool). All rooms well presented and comfortable (beds much too soft for me). Outside furniture of which there is plenty good quality and very comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen but it was equipped exceptionally well.

Luxury, space and remarkably high standard

The web site does not do justice to the space of the site, or the sense of seclusion, overlooking the harbour. We found it difficult to get the car through the gate initially, but after a few times this becomes less of a problem. Walked down to Funchal a number of times, only walked up once, next time we went to the market, got a taxi up to the house for 5 Euros including a tip - taxis everywhere, including just outside Supermarket. Is there a downside? Some traffic noise in the early evening, and the surrounding dogs can be a problem in the evening while they settle down. Understand property is on the market for Euros 2.25M, which gives you an idea of the extent and quality of the property - it may not be available for let after this, so take the opportunity now. Backup from Norberta (understand she is the agent for the property) was excellent! Highlight of the trip? Lunch on the beach near Cabo Girao, only accessible by cable car. Good food, good atmosphere.

Fantastic place for holiday

Beautiful, stunning house with fantastic view. Very comfortable with perfect location, close to the town centre. We spent there amazing time with friends and our families and felt very sad when had to come back home. Linda was very friendly, supportive and responded immediately when any help was needed. An excellent property

This property lived up to our expectations. We were impressed with the excellent quality of everything. Even the pots and pans appeared to be brand new. The beds were especially luxurious. The games room was well used by our grandsons as was the swimming pool. Only down side was that the pool wasn't as warm as we had hoped for, certainly nothing like the 30 degrees that the thermometer read! However this didn't stop the majority of the group taking a dip. Linda was extremely helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this property.

Stunning!

This is probably the smartest villa we have stayed in after 22 years of villa holidays in Europe. It has EVERYTHING! The only possible improvement would be if the pool was outdoor but given the propensity for rain showers on Madeira it perhaps make sense that it is indoors. Bedrooms huge and beds super comfy. Views amazing. Furnishings and features of the highest quality. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful villa, spotlessly clean, great location

The villa was everything you could ask for and very true to the pictures. It had beautiful views out over the sea but within a 15 minute walk of the town and excellent choice of restaurants. The Villa itself was massive, well thought through with everything you could need to have a very comfortable stay, it was spotless and thoughtfully decorated. The swimming pool and general facilities were fabulous. We had a great welcome from Linda and Norberta, there was a useful guide with villa instructions, useful maps and guide books available and an appreciated welcome food pack. All in all nothing you could fault and we look forward to returning in the future.

Family Vacation to Funchal

House is even better in person if you can believe that. We are pretty fussy and the house could not have been better or cleaner. Even the 15 and 19 year orders with us were not bored.

Outstanding stay in Funchal

We (4 adults and 4 kids) had a wonderful stay at this outstanding property. The house is equipped with all you can imagine and even more: eg huge playing room with pool billard, table tennis, chess, cards table, etc., a fantastic swimming pool house, in all bedrooms luxury and very comfortable beds, wonderful views. A big thank you to Norbert and Linda who took perfectly care of us.

Beautiful Property - Would highly Recommend

We stayed at this villa with my parents in November and we were very pleased with our choice. It looks exactly like it does in the pictures. All of the rooms are lovely and it has great facilities including a games room and a pool. The views are stunning and it is either a short(ish) walk to town or a very cheap taxi ride away. If we are to come back to Madeira we would book this property again.

Absolutely stunning

We stayed at Villa Luzia for a week in November, and it is simply stunning. The views from the decking over the sea and city are fabulous, the photographs do not do it justice. The facilities are fantastic, we made full use of the kitchen and the BBQ room. The games room with pool table, table tennis were great fun. The pool is very well maintained and clean, as is the whole villa. All the bedrooms are en-suite, spacious and beautifully decorated. The villa is located close to the town, walking down hill to the town centre is easy, but we would recommend a taxi back up the hill, as it is very steep. For anyone thinking of visiting Madeira, Villa Luzia is the perfect base for exploring the city and island, and we would thoroughly recommend it.

Luxurious Home Away from Home!

The property was everything we could have asked for and more! It was definitely home from home. Villa Luzia is beautifully presented and every room decorated and furnished to an exceedingly high standard. The facilities are second to none. The kitchen has everything any chef could need in triplicate! The indoor BBQ room is also fully equipped without any need to use the kitchen. The lounge is a very restful room in which to relax and read. We all thoroughly enjoyed the games room and pool house. We would definitely recommend this Villa to our friends and family. Hopefully we will return.

The best villa we have stayed in so far

Exemplary property and service which made our stay in Madeira unforgettable. We all loved the pool and the children were able to master pool, table tennis and table football in the most luxuirious surroundings. I have absolutely to hesitation in recommending this villa to the most discerning of guests.
