The apartment in Porto was great and in a good location within walking distance if aout 22 to 27 minutes of our tours departures.

Excellent location

This property was right next to Old Town, which was perfect because it was a little noisy but not bad in comparison to the noise in old town. Close to lots of good restaurants, the Mercado and supermarkets. We were initially a little worried because of one bad review but we were pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was. It had everything we needed.

Good location

The apartment is in a good location off a very busy street. It was very noisy at night, we were there from Friday to Monday and every night we were either unable to sleep or were woken up by street noise or neighbors. That was certainly a big minus for us. But the street has lots of bars and restaurants and shops.

EXTREMELY DISAPOINTING

I read the reviews before I booked this apartment 4.5 stars on 9 and only 1 star because of the noise from the street and yes is very noisy most nights until 4 to 5 in the morning, but it is in the city, so I always carry ear plugs when I stay in cities. The photos of the apartment looked amazing online, with pristine walls, so I was very disappointed when I first saw it, the walls were very dirty and marked and the couch was grey, not white, the online photos of the apartment had obviously been enhanced by "Image Enhancing Software" But my main issue is with cleanliness, light switches and power sockets were all dirty, the shower basin, wall tiles and ceiling extractor fan in the bathroom near the front door were all very dirty, plus the shower screen door needs replacing as it keeps jamming and will not fully open. The toilet seat in the bathroom near the main bedroom was loose, so moved when you sat on it, and the toilet brushes and holders in both bathrooms were dirty. The headboard in the main bedroom was not fixed to the wall on one side, so I had to put a pillow under it to stop it falling onto me when I slept. The pedestal fan in the living room was full of dust and the grey couch was stained. The sliding cupboard door near the entrance door kept coming off the runners, and finally, the terrace off the back bedroom was covered with bird droppings all over the walls, floor, seats, and table, so I could not use it to hang my washing out to dry.

A Big Disappointment - So Hard Too Sleep With Noise Level

This rental was NOT a good experience - no one was there to greet us despite Sheila knowing our arrival time- waited 30 min. on the street -greeter spoke no English and could not answer any of our questions-there was very little information about how anything worked-the apartment was not ready for us-it was very dirty and all of the sheets and towels were hanging drying everywhere -we had to wait another 30 minutes for her to make beds-we had to go shopping for cleaning supplies and spent 2 hours cleaning just to make it acceptable.-we asked Sheila to come over and walk through issues with us, but she said she was too busy-her husband did come later to bring a coffee maker (because the one in the apartment was filthy and old) and we tried to show him the issues -he said to talk to Sheila because it is her apartment and her English is better-we did send Sheila videos and photos and she apologized but nothing was done. The water heater broke on a Thursday morning and flooded the apartment-we were told it would be fixed by Saturday- we had no hot water so we went away for a couple nights (at our expense). Sheila called saying it would be fixed on Monday! When we got upset about this she called back and said it would be done on Saturday. It was, but the workers left a dirty mess in the bathroom which we cleaned. The balcony is unusable -pigeon poo everywhere. Even if apartment was perfect, sleeping here is almost impossible- high noise levels most nights-bar below bedroom window

A great apartment in Centro!

This apartment was excellent! I stayed here for 3 weeks from late June through mid-July. The location in Centro was perfect. Just a 5 minute walk to all of the restaurants and shopping and just a 20 minute walk to the beaches and harbor. The apartment had plenty of room, was very clean, well equipped kitchen. I was solo and used the apartment for work for most of the stay and the desk in the bedroom and WiFi were very reliable. The apartment was also big enough for my family of five when they arrived for a weekend stay at the end of my visit. Sheila was a great host and very easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again.

Posición inmejorable, estancia top

Elegimos esta propiedad por su posición central y no nos equivocamos. Estás en el corazón de Málaga y merece la pena porque lo tienes todo al alcance de la mano. Sobre el tema del ruido de otras reseñas: está claro que hay algo de ruido sobre todo el fin de semana, pero es lo que tiene estar en el centro de Málaga. Aconsejable para estancias tanto cortas como más amplias, la propiedad dispone de las principales amenities. Sugeriría actualizar las fotos ya que el sofá por ejemplo es distinto al que aparece en la foto (pero igualmente cómodo). Perfecto si vais con mascota, a nuestra 🐱 le encantó ver la calle desde el salón. Recomendable sin duda, muchas gracias Sheila por la agradable estancia.

Would highly recommend - Property manager has your best interest in mind

I was scheduled to travel to Spain but due to the coronavirus my trip was canceled. The property manager was extremely understanding and accommodating and refunded my money for the stay without hesitation. For anyone who is looking to visit Malaga, I would highly recommend staying at this property.

El apartamento esta muy bien ubicado. Reformado, luminoso y agradable. Tan solo es desagradable el olor del portal, pero hay que decir que no entra en el apartamento. También es importante señalar que hay un parking cercano muy económico, (Las Delicias).

A noisy nightmare

This apartment could be a perfect 10, 5 stars. It’s spacious, new, light, the contact was perfect and we had a warm welcome. The location is also nice, only a few steps from the old town, 20 minutes to the beach. Unfortunately the apartment is insanely loud. Windows open or closed - no difference. The traffic on Calle Carretería never stops. Even at 3 or 4 in the night there’s always someone to race his scooter down the street at full throttle. The garbage trucks collect three times a week - between 2 and 3 at night and every word whispered on the street can be heard loud and clear in the bedroom. And no one cares to whisper. As a result we slept in different rooms so that at least one could enjoy the relative calmness of the rear facing room. I myself did not sleep for a week. With a sensible noise protection at least for the bed room this could be a perfect apartment. In its current state, I would not want to stay another night even if it was for free. I’m sorry Sheila, but I can’t put it any milder. If this was a hotel, I would have asked for another room or my money back. We came to relax, but what we got was a noisy nightmare.

Sehr schöne und geräumige Wohnung

Das Apartment ist sehr wohnlich, sehr geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Es liegt sehr zentral und das Zentrum von Málaga ist in wenigen Schritten zu erreichen, zum Bahnhof Cercanias (Verbindung zum Flughafen) läuft man circa 10 Minuten. Die zentrale Lage ist sehr vorteilhaft , wir mussten allerdings in Kauf nehmen, dass jede Nacht bis in die frühen Morgenstunden Partystimmung vor dem Haus herrschte. Die Komunikation mit der Vermieterin war prompt und freundlich. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

appartement spacieux, bien situé. Toutefois la chambre côté rue reste bruyante et concernant la deuxième chambre, un lit deux places serait le bienvenu pour des adultes.
