We stayed about a week here while in town for our son’s graduation from Basic Military Training, commonly called boot camp in our day. The listing was exactly as described and pictured. It was clean and well stocked, even a washer and dryer! Don’t expect brand new walls and carpeting. This is an old building and has painted floors, a little rough around the edges. BUT the owner really “went with the vibe,” in decor and we loved that. The bed was probably the most comfy I’ve ever slept in. We went to Texas in February, so we weren’t expecting blazing hot, but what we got was weather in the 30s. There is no central heat or A/C, but they do have window A/C and left four stand alone ceramic heaters. The first night there was comfy but all changed the next. The cleaning lady knocked on our door and gave us 2 more heaters and another blanket. It was nice and toasty. Visit the Alamo Brewery just a block away. Saturday night they had a fabulous blues band, and try the pulled pork. Anyway, we enjoyed the apartment (and hearing the rooster next door—we have chickens at home)!
