This is the third cottage we have stayed at in the Point Reyes area. All were excellent, but this was the very best. It is such a beautiful spot and the cottage is perfect for two. We love Point Reyes and all the wonderful hiking trails and I think this is the one time that our cottage was so perfect that we enjoyed getting back from out outings as much as we enjoyed our outings.

A Hidden Gem

A cozy charming romantic cottage set on the edge of the Tomales Bay with wondrous views of the breathtaking landscape. The cottage is eclectically furnished with a well outfitted kitchen, and a living room with views out on the bay. There are several gardens with seating areas wrapping around the cottage to allow one to find the best spot to watch and listen to the many varieties of birds throughout the day. The single bedroom and bath are spacious with windows out to the gardens. The bath includes a shower and a large tub/whirlpool. In the evenings bird watching gives way to bat watching and the occasional raccoon. California weasels and deer wander by on occasion. It would be easy to spend the entire vacation in and around the secluded cottage but for the wonderful hikes, sights and gastronomic opportunities nearby and throughout the region.

4 day getaway in Inverness

It was simply a delight to have stayed at the cottage. So peaceful, gorgeous and comfortable. The bird song in the morning, enjoying my coffee out on the boardwalk bench or inside the kitchen with a view. It was perfect location for hiking in Point Reyes, and sunning on Stinson Beach, and also an hour away from Muir Woods via a beautiful drive. I got to Muir Woods super early, and got the first parking spot, with no one in the park yet. I was able to hike up Ben Johnson trail to the Dipsea Trail without seeing a soul. Perfect.Thank you, agaiin.

Quiet and secluded cozy cottage.

Very restful, peaceful and pleasant stay in the cottage. Close to many trails as well as town. Birds and flowers all around and enough amenities to enhance our stay. Would stay here again, Louise was a wonderful host and the cottage was just what we needed to recharge and rejuvenate.

Birthday weekend

This place was perfect for a couple. We spent time looking out the window or sitting outside by the creek. Simply beautiful. Very comfortable. After a 9.5 mile hike at Tomales Point a warm deep bath soothed the aches. Quick drive to Point Reyes Station to stock up at Palace Grocery and Sunday afternoon pizza and oysters at Cafe Reyes.

Special location

We have stayed here many times. Being on the marsh with the sweeping view of the hills is magical. Always a satisfying, relaxing experience.

Another great stay at the cottage!

This was my second time staying at this bayside cottage for a little getaway out in Point Reyes. the first time was so great that I was determined to do it again. Now, after this latest visit I am even more inclined to take advantage of this wonderful place!

Perfect getaway on the Bay!

Louise's cottage is a fantastic place to stay for exploring the Point Reyes Seashore and area. It was very clean and well equipped and turned out to be even bigger than it looks in the photos, which is all too frequently not the case... Despite being situated on the main road, it offers plenty of quiet time that makes it easy to hear the birdsong in the mornings and early evenings due to also being right on the bay and marsh. It is on a sizable piece of land with incredible views. Comfy, clean and well equipped - so nice I'm a little hesitant to rave about it and possibly make it more difficult for booking return trips now that I've discovered it!

Charming cottage with beautiful views

My husband and I have been coming to Tomales Bay for 30 plus years and this is one of the best places we've stayed. The location is perfect for hiking and bird watching and Louise is a fabulous host. We had mixed up our reservation and she worked with us very quickly to resolve it. She is a super communicator!
