Stay in Panama city

The apartment was good, i think you just need to add that there is a resort fee to be able to park. We paid 100 for the weekend. Also the coffee maker is not working.

Dirty, over crowded, 3rd world vibe with the type of people there, Long long waits at the elevators, the restaurants on site acted as if it were a burden to serve you, dirty room, dirty pools, over crowded is an understatement!!

Nice, but needs a few updates.

We loved the bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds were so comfortable!! The deck area was just what we needed after a long day of traveling.However, The kitchen and living room needs updating. Other than that, everything was pretty decent and suitable to vacation in.

The only thing we loved was the primary rooms mattress. The walls are filthy in pretty much every room. There’s mold/mildew in both showers. The place smells. The carpet is old and gross. The washer and dryer is terrible. The wash cycle is so loud. Sometimes it doesn’t drain correctly, no matter how small of a load it is. The ice maker is slow. The deadbolt doesn’t work.

Great place

We Really enjoyed our stay at Laketown Wharf. We had a nice view of the lake and the sunrise in the morning. Only negative thing is. It took forever to get a elevator sometimes and of the elevators wouldn't go to out floor. So we had to go one below or one above then use the stairs. Overall I plan on staying here in the future

Spring break trip

My family went for spring break this year. We had 5 different condos in the resort. You can tell which ones people live in or frequent often to the ones that are just being rented out for the money. Our room was ok, for the price I expected better. The front door looks like it’s been kicked in and it’s missing paint. The lock code was a nuisance but they will reset the code right then. The tvs are small, the furniture is chipped and missing paint. There were a few issues with the bathroom, the light in the toilet was out and the knob on the tub was broke, but maintenance came right over and fixed them. The elevator sucks but I guess what do you expect for a place with so many apartments. Great location, right across from the beach. The kids loved the rooftop pool, but definitely utilized all of them. I would definitely go back to Laketown wharf but I wouldn’t get 1129 again.

Nice location with great Amenities

Wharf-1129 I found to be a very nice room. It was very clean, bedrooms comfortable, decorated nice, & bathroom spacious. Entry view of Gulf & balcony view over lagoon were beautiful! The kitchen was supplied w all basic utensils. At night it is very bright with all the street lights. You are located pretty much in the center of the tourism area. We had good curtains in bedroom to darken the room but the living/common area did not have curtains. And the (3) TVs, we were only able to use one TV w the cable network. If we tried to sign it in on a 2nd television, it would mess up the other TV. So we used the cable in the main room only, the other two TVs, we signed in to our own accounts. We did notice any bad smells within unit. You do have to keep up to empty the dehumidifiers - but that makes sense due to being by the Gulf. We had (1) major issue with refrigerator. It started to 'chirp' on & off; then after a day it CHIRPED LOUD constantly for (4) days. Then the circuit breaker started tripping off. We called Vacasa Customer Service four times. Always told us what we wanted to hear but then there would be no call back. It took (2) weeks before a repairman arrived to temporarily fix. So we were good for the final weeks of our stay. The room was nice, we loved the pools, being a walk away from a restaurant on the beach, a Grocery, store, & a sports bar on ground floor. So overall, we enjoyed it. Deducted a star due to c/s issue.

Loved that we could get it at the last minute. We had a horrible experience that day with another condo and was about to head back home, when this opened it we knew we had a great place and we truly enjoyed our stay there and had a great vacation.

Poor Quality Apartment

Not happy with the apartment.....both couches were destroyed....the sleeping bed was broken inside the coach....both coaches hurt your legs because you basically sit in the frame....nothing was done about it by the resort. Carpet in the living needs to be changed asap due to smell....when we first walked in it smelled like dirty socks. Bath faucests both not working correctly....you can break your hands turning...nothing was done by the resort to fix it even though maintenance came in to look at it. Our door lock broke on us for couple of hours and we couldn't get inside the apartment....finally the lock was changed the next morning. The bands that we paid for didn't work ....only 3 worked out of 8. Twice we had to deal with the bands in the lobby and it didn't work. ELEVATORs are 0 rating....some ELEVATORs are 3 months out of service....so much congestion and nothing is done about it....we had to wait for 1 each day to get to the ground floor from 11th floor. We have 2 little kids and one inside a stroller. No AC by the elevators or inside and standing for hours throughout the whole vacation is miserable. Don't recommend this resort at all....pay couple hundred $ more and have better resort.

Nice place

Good unit for the price, clean, loved it. There were no fans, which my spouse missed. The light show didn't happen several nights during our stay, but thats the hotel 's lacking.. We did get to see it twice during our week long stay, and we enjoyed it.

Great location, clean condo!

The location is great, you get private access to the beach. Also the three swimming pools were real nice . You get a nice view from the balcony too.

Good location as it was easy to access main roads and several attractions, the beach and restaurants within walking distance COMPLEX - elevators slow -material on pool chairs were ripped - RESTAURANT - Rude hostess at Lorraines was unknowledgable of other places to eat after shutting down the kitchen an hour earlier than posted and not seating anymore customers - UNIT needs updated paint and seating -Balcony doors don’t lock BATHROOM -shower doesn’t drain in main bathroom -light bulb out -toilet paper holder broken LIVING ROOM - broken dining chair - Battery compartment on remote missing - No drapes on balcony doors - Only 3 chairs on balcony & no table - ENTRY - Closet to washer/dryer off track KITCHEN -microwave buttons do not all work

Perfect condo with poor elevators

The condo was very nice and clean. The only issue was with the elevators in the building. A day before an Ironman race, people had to climb up to 21 floors by foot because only one or two elevators were working - at the other end of the building. People who stayed there in previous years said that it happens every year. This issue would make me rethink whether I would consider Laketown Wharf for my next stay at Panama City Beach. That's too bad because we really loved the condo.

Nice condo

This was a nice condo it had a few drawbacks though. No toaster. No blinds in master bedroom or living room and no patio furniture. Also cooking pans and utensils were slim. The location was great. The master bathroom was nice so it’s worth staying in.

Not So Satisfied

I love the fact there was easy access to the beach, and many pools to choose from on the grounds. However the bed in the master bedroom was awful. The springs were wore out and every time you rolled over the springs would pop up and make you very uncomfortable and hurt too on your back. Please change the mattress in 1129 in master bedroom.

Fall break at Laketown Wharf 2019

We loved staying here. It felt like we were in a apartment instead of at a resort. We heard no noises or anything. We had the city view and at night it was gorgeous. The only thing we didn’t like was the master bedroom had nothing over the doors in the bedroom. So when it became daylight the room started getting really warm and very bright.
