Cocoa Cabin

This is our 2nd time staying in Cocoa Cabin. We love the location- close to Gatlinburg and in our favorite community Black Bear Falls. You could not ask for a better host. Kevin is always available for any questions or concerns and truly goes out of his way to make sure we have a great stay. The cabin has 3 king size beds- 1 on each floor so everyone has their own space and bathroom. The fireplace is so cozy, and we always enjoy the hot tub. We had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen, and we also used the charcoal grill outside. Thanks again for another great stay!!

Great Cabin and Awesome Hosts

We venture to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge multiple times a year as we live in Asheville and it is an affordable getaway. We have stayed in countless cabins and I can honestly say this was a great cabin! It was clean, spacious, and the beds are comfortable! The host, Kevin was more than responsive, he messaged me first to wish us safe travels to the cabin and a fun time. We were able to gain entry to the cabin early for a small fee, which of course is a case by case basis. The location of the cabin was great. It is in a cute little neighborhood with ponds and a lot of ducks. It would be cool in the summer time when the pool is open as it is in walking distance - not super close but doable. Great choice if your looking to book a cabin that is safe, clean, short distance to downtown Gatlinburg and grocery stores. In addition, a lot of cabins are located on steep, narrow mountain roads, but this one is not! So good for people that are not use to mountain roads.

Fabulous Cabin and Owners

This was our fifth year to stay at Cocoa Cabin. We have come to expect excellence here, and once again we were not disappointed! We chose this cabin years ago because each bedroom has a king sized bed, a smart TV, and its own bathroom. These three things are a rarity in the Gatlinburg area. And, the beds are wonderfully comfortable! The whole cabin is beautifully decorated and even though it's in a cabin community, there is good privacy on the porches and decks, with many trees surrounding it. The grandsons love the hot tub and the pool table as well as the many other games the owners have made available to guests (cornhole was a big hit this year). Additionally, the owners are quick to respond to any questions we have. Our family loves Cocoa Cabin! It feels like "coming home" to us each year.

We stayed for a week. The house was great, perfect setup for us to each have our own bedroom with ensuite. House was stocked, including beach towels. Hot tub was so relaxing. The property grounds are so pretty. I took a walk each am and it's an easy drive into downtown Gatlinburg. Would highly recommend. Kevin the owner was on top of texting and easy to communicate with.

Peaceful cozy cabin in the woods….it was close to everything, but in a private setting. Kevin was wonderful contacting us from the time we made the reservation until we were driving home to make sure we were all good. We highly recommend this cabin for a family of all ages. Our grandsons loved the hot tub and we were in walking distance of the very nice pool. We even got a glimpse or two of “Oscar” the neighborhood bear

Very relaxing ! This was one of my soul purposes of being there.

The resort if very beautiful and quiet . All the cabins within the resort are nice. In the front you will find a swimming pool which is very clean. We strolled thru the resort which is hilly but great exercise. At night our cabin had these little lights we turned on while in the jacuzzi . ( another way to relax ) If I get a the opportunity I will be back. Thanks

Granddaughter’s Winter Break

4 night stay for Winter Break. Cabin was perfect for us with the 3 King Suites on the 3 different levels. Pictures and listings on line were very accurate. Owner maintained open communication and made sure any and all questions were answered/addressed. Close to downtown, grocery and restaurants. The only possible negative would be that the kitchen is a little small but it was fully equipped with upgraded appliances. And who is really cooking big meals on vacation! It was not an issue for us. The recommendation to back in the driveway was definitely a good one!*fyi..I am a previous owner of 2 beach rental houses so I am peculiar in my reviews.

I had an incredible experience staying at The Cocoa Cabin! Mr. Kevin was hands down the best property manager/owner I’ve ever encountered. The booking process was seamless, and he went above and beyond by allowing us to check in a few hours early since our flight arrived earlier than expected. The cabin itself was perfect—cozy, clean, and well-maintained. I can confidently say this was one of the best stays I’ve ever had, and I rate it a solid 10/10. I highly recommend The Cocoa Cabin for anyone looking for a stress-free and enjoyable getaway!

Hello everyone,
We are Kevin & Mary, we love travel and adventure. We have traveled and worked in a handful of countries all over the Caribbean, Central & South America and all over the US.

We have worked many facets and echelons of the hospitality world most of our lives, from housekeeping to basic food service. Our 25 years of these experiences have fostered our passion for hospitality.

We spent almost a decade working on the ocean, traveling, finding ourselves and each other.

During one of our trips and starting of new jobs we were traveling from south to north we made a stop in Gatlinburg and The Smoky Mountains part of that journey and knew right away we wanted to purchase in east Tennessee. It was the people, the people of east Tennessee were as welcoming as The Smoky Mountains. It took 6 months, a few flights, countless hours on the phone and internet. Well now here we are!

We choose this cabin as it is a true log cabin, large enough for us to host our families comfortably. Location was perfect for us, close to everything. We really enjoy the peace and quiet of the area but we are 2.5 miles to Gatlinburg and 3 MIles to the entrance of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park and 7 Miles to Pigeon Forge, close to the conveniences of being in town.
The Black Bear Falls Community has maintained an awesome reputation in it meticulous maintenance of the ground and amenities.
My mother grew up just outside of Knoxville so there is an existing family tie to the area.
