Totally agree with you. This bungalow is ideal for a stay up to a week, for longer staysfor a family our beach Villas are better suited indeed. Concerning the small 6HP boat this is great for guests with a good experience in motor boat, otherwise a private tour is advised. Some guests do both actually! Hope to welcome you again. I agree, the best is probably to combine such a traditional wooden Villa right by the lagoon and discover Moorea island vibes by your own, and on another island (eg Bora Bora) be pampered in a luxury Hotel :). Denis

Thank you very much for your review. So lucky with the whales! Our bay is indeed very quiet and the mother whales come with their young. But this does not always happen, and in this case a boat excursion can be arranged to meet them during a day trip. Mid-August to end of October is the good period for whales.

There are many options and providers to explore the lagoon and its treasures, but Polynesian Spirit is indeed a special experience with its authentic sailing outrigger canoe (there aren't that many anymore!). Thanks for your review! Hot water is heated directly from a solar panel, which is great... but water can be tepid when the weather is cloudy. Great about the whales. Hope to welcome you again in Opunohu bay! The management.

Strange to discover your disappointment regarding our little nest along the lagoon, especially since the client just after left you a note of 10 and a wonderful testimony: "Easily filled eyes with a spectrum of color backed by every shade of green. It was a refreshing peace not to be shared on Facebook". Concerning the amenities (toilet seat, fan, etc), just ask our concierge living on site to fix any hiccup, that will be done in a breeze. Some guests such as you don't want to disturb her! BTW the cooking knives are from Ikea and were replaced last July. Hope to greet you again, the management.

Thank you for this lovely review. This small bungalow is indeed a very nice waterfront nest for a couple, with an equipped kitchenette, and a carved Gazebo. We also propose larger beach Villas for families, groups, or couples wishing more space. We hope to see you again in the amazing Opunohu bay :)
