Amazing Villa

This villa has everything! The views are unbelievable. My husband said it was a bit of a paradise. Our grandsons felt it was the best vacation ever. The hosts were wonderfully responsive to all our questions!

Ocean views

Had an amazing experience in this place. Lots of room for a family of 7. Has everything needed to cook meals. The pool was awesome to have for the kids to play in while grilling out. The showers are all great with an outdoor feeling but also private. Sat on front porch in the evening with cocktails and listening to the ocean was my favorite. House host was very responsive when asking a question. Great location for getting to all the amazing beaches. We would definitely book again.

Great Visit

We had a great stay at Villa Agel. The property was spacious with a well planned layout that afforded private and communal spaces. The view was terrific with expansive ocean vistas dotted with many islands. We cooked every night and found the nearby Calabash market had some very nice fish and meats. The little town of Coral Bay was a short drive. The owners were promptly responsive to our questions. We look forward to future visits.

Wonderful Vacation Stay

Our families so enjoyed the Villa Agel! From the great layout, where each bedroom has its own bathroom to the perfect sized pool to relax by in the afternoon after being at the beaches all day. All necessary items to bring to the beach and easy drive to so many awesome snorkel spots.

Perfect for us!

Villa Agel was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed out time there. Catherine was very responsive to any questions we had. Would not hesitate to stay there again. It was nice being on the Coral Bay side with the relative peace and quiet of that side of the island. Thank you!

Villa exceeded expectations

The views were incredible and location was great. It was a quick drive to local restaurants and stores. The pool and outdoor seating areas got a lot of use. The kitchen was well equipped for the grilled dinners we had. David, property manager, was very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Family Getaway

Wow! What a fantastic home in paradise! The house was exactly as pictured. Our group of 12 made lots of wonderful memories during our stay. In between the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, we spent lots of time in the pool and at the various beaches close by. It was an adventure and we loved it!

Heaven

This house is stunning, and close to so many great snorkeling spots. It was absolutely perfect for my birthday trip with friends and adult children. The deck views were beautiful, the kitchen well-appointed, the bedrooms were comfortable and pretty and had A/C and lots of windows, the bathrooms were lovely and plentiful, and the pool was a perfect end to each day. The owners were incredibly responsive and great communicators, and the outdoor pet cats very sweet. Nothing could have been better. I also loved being in the Coral Bay area which is quieter than Cruz Bay but still has great restaurants. Our favorites were Skinny Legs and Johnny Lime. Be sure to rent a car than can handle bumps and steep hills!

Magnificent home!

This house was better than we could have ever imagined! It was spacious enough for all 10 of us (3 family groups). The pool was perfect for kids, teens, and adults. It was located on the quiet side, which we absolutely loved! Close to restaurants and near lots of beaches. The kids enjoyed seeing the tortoises that visited every evening. The outdoor showers were a fun addition the tropical stay. The house was stocked with everything we needed, towels, pool toys, chairs, umbrellas, and all the kitchen utensils you need.

Best vacation ever!!

Villa Agel is magic. You can hear the ocean and feel the sea breeze. The views are spectacular north to Coral Bay and east to the sunrise. Although it is a bit far from the action in Cruz Bay, you are close to beautiful beaches and great hikes. It’s also wonderful to be at the Villa with its lovely garden and pool. Catherine and Eric have done an amazing post hurricane restoration. They were also very responsive to our every need as was their property manager David. This is a very special place. We would give it 7 stars!!!

Beautiful Home. Wonderful Stay!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Villa Agel! The home was beautiful and even better than we expected. The views were amazing! Villa Agel had all the amenities we needed. We appreciated the snorkel gear and beach chairs we were able to use at the beaches. Catherine was very helpful and answered all of our questions quickly regarding our stay and sent us great information about the island. The care taker David was very friendly and knowledgeable about St Johns. We appreciated his insight on places to visit. We enjoyed our stay at Villa Agel, and would love to visit again. We already miss it.

Paradise

Villa Agel exceeded our expectations! The location is great, on the quieter side of the island, and you’re still a quick easy ride to many beautiful beaches, and there are multiple markets and restaurants right down the street. The property was great- clean, spacious, fully stocked with kitchen appliances and beach gear. Pool was perfect, A/C and grill worked well, and the bathrooms are all really unique and cool. 2 of the rooms are in a separate building across the pool deck, which worked great for our group, and they have private decks and bathrooms. The views from the multiple decks can’t be beat! We also loved that there were multiple outdoor areas to enjoy, including the front deck which has incredible views, a nice breeze most nights, and is away from the pool (helpful for us with small kids). Catherine and Eric were incredibly responsive and provided a ton of helpful information leading up to and during our trip. We would absolutely stay here again!

Very Nice Villa - a Bit Too Hot

Everything was as described and more. We did have a wonderful time, and the villa was wonderful for a large party of people. The only problem was the AC, which is not what I would call fully described correctly in the property description. There is no AC in the living part of the house, only the bedrooms. We happened to take the one bedroom where the AC had issues and so we never did have a cool experience in the house, no matter where we were. Other than that, all was good and I'd recommend the villa. Catherine and Eric communicated well and were very responsive.

Amazing views! Amazing home! Amazing mangement!

The home was exactly as advertised. The views were amazing and the home very comfortable. We only had one issue with the 5th bedroom downstairs. Too many bugs for one of our family members so we just doubled up in one bedroom, which was no problem with the rooms being so spacious. We spoke with Moss, who was the property manager and he did make an attempt to satisfy us. But we were on an island and there are bugs, so we understood. Moss and Cory were kind and very helpful. Property was in a peaceful neighborhood and the courtyard and pool were a hit with the whole family. Must have a jeep to stay at this home to get to restaurants and grocery store.

Eric and Catherine have been annual visitors to St John since 2011. They purchased a property in 2018 and lovingly restored the quaint lime green Coral Bay cottage known as Lime Time (VRBO #1744317). In 2019, they purchased hurricane damaged Villa Agel and lovingly bought Agel back to her original glory with some upgrades!

Plus modern features such as AC in bedrooms and solar with generator back-up!
Villa Agel is on the quiet side of the island where you will get stuck in traffic jams created by goats, sheep, and donkeys. With little light pollution, you will enjoy stargazing, amazing moon rises and some of the most colorful sunrises you have ever seen! Coral Bay is perfect for families looking to be close to the best snorkeling, hiking, and adventure the island has to offer. It is centrally located between the famous Northshore beaches (Maho known for sea turtles), Hansen to the east, and Salt Pond (5-minute drive) and Lameshure part of the southern beaches.
