Welcome to Casa Serena!
Our newly built, beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is nestled in the jungle of Dominical Costa Rica, and comes complete with your own private 220’ waterfall! Casa Serena is located in a gated community and has fabulous mountain and river valley views. The area is quiet and secluded from crowds and road noise, perfect for a stress-free experience!
Casa Serena offers a private swimming pool with an outdoor covered pavilion appointed with comfortable patio furniture. Enjoy coffee while experiencing the morning sunrise, complete with the sounds of hummingbirds buzzing or a toucan stopping by for a chat! Or take in the evening enjoying the beautiful sunsets while barbequing on the grill and enjoying a glass of wine or beer. Don’t be surprised if you get a visit from one of our friendly squirrel monkeys or even a sloth!
The home features 2 master bedrooms, each with a high end, comfortable king bed and private bathroom. High end linens are provided for the beds and each room has its own air conditioner for individual comfort. The living room has a comfortable sleeper sofa and a smart tv along with many books and board games.
Both bathrooms come with high end bath towels, wash cloths and hand towels. Also included are bath soap and toilet paper for your convenience.
Casa Serena comes with a fully furnished kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, blender, plenty of pots and pans, flatware, dinnerware, wine glasses, plastic storage containers, mixing bowls, salt and pepper, oil, spices and more.
The home also has a washer and dryer, high-speed internet and covered parking for your convenience.

Welcome to Casa Serena. We are so happy you chose to stay at our home and enjoy all the scenery our area has to offer.
We are from Texas in the middle of what we call the hill country, this is an incredibly beautiful place also. We purchased our Costa Rica property in October 2019 and had the house built during 2020, and what a challenge it was. Thankfully, we had some great people that helped us get our Costa Rica paradise finished since we could not be there because of COVID restrictions.

About 12 years ago my wife was invited to stay at a vacation home up northern pacific area, and she fell in love with it! Then my wife and I started doing the all-inclusive resort thing there and found that it was ok but all you see is the resort and an occasional excursion which focused on tourists. On our next trip, we decided to do away with the all-inclusive, rented a home and a car and drove from town to another town, visiting local places. We absolutely fell in love with the people and all the beauty. It was then that we knew we found the perfect place to retire eventually retire.
We started in the northern pacific looking for beach property, but realized that during the dry season it was hot and the air conditioner would need to run constantly and the northern part turns very brown during dry season. We made our way down to the southern regions and finally stayed in Uvita. We knew 100% that is where we wanted to build our dream home.
We purchased property in the gated community of Cascada Azul because of the cool evening breeze from the pacific, view of the jungle canopy, and a beautiful waterfall that lulls you to sleep. We knew we found paradise!

Our home is unique, just open the sliding doors out to the back, close the screen doors and let the Pacific breeze keep the house at a comfortable temperature, no need to run air conditioner even though I had one put in each room. You will probably have a visit from a few toucans!
Our favorite beach is Bahia Bellena beach in Uvita, when tide is low it feels like you own the beach, great place to see the beautiful Macaw birds and a few monkeys.
We love being able to share our paradise with others! Hope you enjoy our place as much as we do, sit back and relax and enjoy the environment the way it should be!
