Wonderful property!

The layout inside and out, amenities, location and cleanliness and comfort were great! Definitely recommend if you are spending time in Seward. Loved being across from the water where we saw eagles and otters. Super convenient drive to town while being out a way where it was quiet. Loved the fire pit. Bathroom was a great size and showers were spacious with double heads. Plenty of space for two couples. Very modern and cozy. Also, check out the Flamingo Lounge - what a treat! Will be back!

Best place to stay when visiting Seward

Perfect place to unwind and relax with gorgeous views and a quiet location. The cabin and the outdoor space were amazing. We enjoyed every minute of our time here and would highly recommend it!

Thank you for leaving a review of our space. We would love the chance to host you again, and hopefully add that extra star to your experience. Guest satisfaction is our top priority. Recently, we ugraded the heating in all of our units to heat pump heating, which is very efficient for warming the entire space in the winter and doubles as air conditioning in the summer months. We are sorry to hear that your pellet stove didn't work during your stay, and want to ensure you that we would have been happy to address the issue while you were still on site had we known. We did some diagnostics, and it looks like the igniter needed to be replaced. These days, we consider the pellet stoves more of an ambiance factor than a heat factor. Please do come back again some day!

Wonderful cabin and service. Beautiful place to stay! Owners are very responsive. Was a little let down that a new cabin was being built directly in front of ours but other than that it was a great stay!

THE BEST CABIN IN SEWARD!!!

This beautiful, peaceful, beachfront cabin exceeded all of our expectations! It was so well stocked with amenities and Kelly Ann was the most amazing host; answering all my questions before and during our stay!!!! I can’t recommend Salted Roots enough!!!

Worth the trip!

Relaxing new cabin

Great quiet location across the lane from Resurrection Bay. Full kitchen, great bathroom (especially showers and soaking tub), comfortable beds. Large window wall brings in the beauty of the area. Easy access to town yet a great way to step away

Beautiful property

Everything was just as advertised. Clean and great location. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach and gorgeous views just outside the front door. Owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. My husband loved fishing right in front of cabin!

A must stay!

If you’re in Seward or the surrounding area, you should definitely stay at Salted Roots! The environment was so cozy and homey. The bathroom was exactly what you needed after a day on the trails. KellyAnne and Matt were very responsive whenever we had any questions. I would stay here again!!

Best place to stay in the area!!

Everything was amazing!!! Best place to stay in all of Seward!! The house was clean and cozy! The bathroom/shower was incredible! The fire pit sauna area was so nice; and we had a great view of the beach/mountains! Just stop looking and book salted roots cabins!! :)

Sweet and snow sleeting

Wonderful place ! Everything was perfect. The weather could have been better but sauna was very inviting. The temperature of the home was nice and warm. Lovely decor. A great weekend for sure.

Beautiful accommodations!

Seward was our longest stay (4 nights) on our trip to Alaska and so glad it was in this beautiful blue door A-frame. We loved everything about it!! Clean, comfortable, simple and stylish. Enjoyed running into and talking to Matt about the property and getting some suggestions for that days drive to Kenai. Hope to stay here again in the future!

Super clean property. Comfortable beds!! Nice location. Don't count on the Wi-Fi to be reliable. Go enjoy the beach across the road.

Blue-Door

A beautiful property for those looking to explore Seward and the Kenai Fjords National Park. The Blue Door A-Frame was perfect for our party of 6. And the bathroom……..absolutely AMAZING! The owners of Salted Roots also own the Flamingo Lounge in Seward. By far the best Halibut during our 2 week stay in Alaska. We highly recommend this property and hope to return some day.

Lovely cabin, attentive owners

Generally, we had a great stay, and this was a decent base of operations for the Seward area. The cabin is fairly well-appointed, and a nice size for a family of four. The owners were helpful and quick with some small issues that did arise. I would add that this area south of Seward is busier than expected, and there was more car traffic on the Beach Road than expected. It is a nice cabin, but the activity in the area prevents it from being an oasis of calm.

We wanted to let you know that access to the campground on the North end of Beach Drive has been closed, which has greatly decreased traffic in the area. We're open year-round, and Lowell Point is very quaint in the winter months. We would love to host you again!

We met in San Diego and have always been drawn to salt water. We left in exploration of more things wild: mountains to climb, waters to kayak, trails to run, perspectives to encounter. We spent 3 years on the road, living out of our car and exploring North America’s public lands and communities, stumbling upon spaces, places, and people who inspired us and ultimately sharpened the pencil that created Salted Roots.

Seward won our hearts, with mountains, the ocean, and a national park right in our backyard. Alaska is wild - wild enough for us vagabonds to settle down roots… and then naturally the idea for Salted Roots sprouted. We bought the land in 2017, were married there shortly after, and began throwing together our future plans for the project with close friends. Our community helped us clear the land, build this website, and make our vision a reality.

Nestled between Chugach National Forest and Kenai Fjords National Park, come experience trophy sport fishing, glacier and wildlife cruises, sailing, hiking, kayaking, flightseeing, summer dog sled rides, and more.
