This home did not disappoint. We are a family of 5 and my mother came with. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, high school graduation, 8th grade graduation and celebrating health. Our 3 children joined us, 18,16, and 14. My mother joined us too.The location was wonderful. Snorkeling right out front. A short drive to Kona for shopping and food. 20 minutes to the airport. Costco, Walmart and a new Safeway very close to the house. A few restaurants within walking distance, maybe 10-15 minutes. Plenty of space to stretch out. We spent most nights on the lanai talking. Meals at the big dining table. The pool area was nice, there is a public walkway right next to the house, which I was not aware of. It was fine, just more traffic than expected. There is a wall that helps with privacy. Maybe a little more greenery on that wall would need nice. Plenty of pool toys, especially for small children. The kitchen was stocked! There were starter supplies-water, dish detergent and clothing detergent. Small shampoo and conditioners, but I would bring shampoo/conditioner, and body soap.
Small beach out front, usually filled up with other beachgoers. Woke up one morning to a large cruise ship, was there for only about 12 hours, can hear the engine, but we just played music in background. The sound system did not work, which was disappointing. The hammock was broke upon our arrival, but was replaced within a day. Not sure if the pool was cleaned. Amazing house, highly recommend.
