We booked a few months ahead, obviously not knowing the region would get a foot of snow within a day. There are many mentions of the driveway being kind of sketchy, I would say on a clear day it is completely manageable. When there is 1 foot of snow, bring yourself prepared with proper vehicle and equipment.
Inside the house is quite comfortable with all the entertainment and amenities needed. If lacking, the drive to town is quick.
The view is awesome, the outdoor equipment is obviously not meant for a snowstorm, so i cannot comment on it during fair weather. Although there was a gas fire pit and I brought my own xmas lights. When the kid went to bed my wife and I watched the snow fall and was very pleasant! They have an interesting array of outdoor lighting which helped the mood. The bird feeder situation was also a bonus, watching spoiled birds come back for more was fun for our kid!
Pro-tip; * BYO gallon of drinking water per day *Bring Quarters for the candy machine if your have a kid *Bring Earplugs if your a light sleeper (it is right on hwy3) *BYO xmas lights, its a trick of mine i always bring everywhere that wife's are impressed by. *If it snows like crazy, know what your doing, park behind the gate to make a dry spot in the snow so you can back up and open it, and then get traction to tear out onto the main road.* probably because of the weight of the snow on the tree, but my 4runner got covered in tree sap, so dont park your prized million dollar Ferrari under it.
0 5 stars. Thanks guys.
