Superb Home in Loire Valley

We stayed as a group of 3 families in Jean-François’ beautiful home for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The home is so comfortable and well appointed, the property is beautiful, and location is perfect. Truly a highlight of our 10 day trip across France!

Superbe propriété dans un très bel environnement ! Les enfants et les adultes se sont éclatés avec les canots. Beaucoup d'endroits dans la propriété pour prendre les repas et s'asseoir dehors. Maison très bien équipée et très confortable.

Au bord de l'eau

Retrouvailles d'une promo 15 ans après l'obtention du diplome, nous avons passé un formidablement moment à naviguer sur l'eau, et profiter des différents espaces intérieurs et extérieurs pour nous retrouver, discuter, refaire le monde.

INCROYABLE

J’ai loué cette maison à l’occasion de mon anniversaire pour passer un week-end entre amis. La maison est fabuleuse : nombreuses chambres, grand salon, immense salle au rez-de-chaussée (parfaite pour les grandes tablees et les soirées), nombreuses terrasses…Le charme de la maison de retrouve aussi dans l’extérieur : barque & canoë dispo pour faire un tour sur le lac directement depuis le jardin !L’hôte est très arrangeant, et la communication est top ! Tout est dispo sur place (savon, papier toilette, draps…) ce qui facilite vraiment la vie !Je recommande vivement ! & espère même revenir pour une prochaine occasion !

Tout était parfait. La maison est très belle avec beaucoup de charme, confortable. nous avons passé un très bon week end entre amis ! Idéal en groupe Merci pour l'accueil et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Expansive, lovely home and park-like yard, perfect for family reunion!

This is our second year for holding our three generation reunion at the Cottage La Maison du Lac in Saint-Avertin! What an incredible place. Jean-Francois is a wonderful host. The home is beautiful and artfully decorated, with room for all 12 to comfortably sleep. The public spaces--including three areas for the family to eat together--are warm and welcoming. There are chateaus and other attractions all around, yet the house was so perfect, we often wanted to just spend the day there--with kayaks and a launch right on the property, the yard and wooded path for the kids to explore while adults mingled or cooked or read. My father, who is 90 years old, just told me how lovely it was to pull up this year and say--Wow, we're here at this beautiful lovely place again! He loves sitting on the veranda on the second floor and watching all the grandchildren play in the yard, and see what a wonderful time everyone is having. Couldn't ask for more in a home away from home!

Perfect large family home for exploring la Touraine

You could never hope to find such a centrally located large home on an island in the river, with water on three sides and a tall, opaque fence on the other. A little sound of traffic in the morning and afternoon is all that reminds you how close you are to the city. Room for several cars or more to park behind the remote-controlled gate. The house is full of bedrooms and places to sit. The kitchen lacks nothing. Our host was prompt, professional, and above all warm in welcoming us. I think the dog probably liked it even more than the humans, with all the open space to roam on the property. Highly recommended.

Maison chaleureuse, romantique et fonctionnelle dans un site enchanteur!

Nous avons passé un superbe week-end (groupe d'amis de 10 adultes)! La maison est magnifique, très bien décorée, très bien équipée et très bien située (balades en canoë, tout près du village à pied, sites touristiques proches, à 15 mns du vieux Tours...). Nous avons adoré cette île et nous pensons y retourner!

My friends and I passed a wonderful week last August in this beautiful house. The house was clean and well furnished with many charming objects and pictures, the kitchen very well equipped, a comfortable living room and a huge garden by the river! In spite of the closeness of the water there were not mosquitos at all! And the location is great as well, the ideal to visit the Loira valley with its castles and towns full of history. We had also great fun renting the kayaks and going along the Loira river. Definetely I recommend this house.

Really nice property and recommended for your stay in Tours.

This property is very pretty with room for the family to enjoy many different interest and places to have a good time. We enjoyed the lake and use of the boats, as well as the beautiful landscaping around the house. The house is fully equipped for cooking and comfort and has room sufficient to allow space for the family. Owner was very accommodating, hospitable and made himself available to us at any request we had. We truly enjoyed our time in Gite La Maison du Lac and Tours is a wonderful place to visit.

Sublime séjour

Nous avons passé 2 jours à 8 personnes dans ce sublime écrin de verdure. La maison présente un cachet indéniable et tout est présent pour le plus grand confort. Le propriétaire est disponible, souriant et très arrangeant. Idéal pour un séjour au calme en famille ou entre amis, tout en profitant du centre de tours qui est à 10min en voiture ou en taxi. À tester sans hésiter à la vue du rapport prix/prestations.
