Great stay at Funk N Treasure

Great family vacation

The property accommodated 16 family members easily. Pool and hot tube were a great bonus. Only a short 10 minute walk to the beach. We really liked the area as well.

Family vacation

Great place to have 16 people. There was enough space for everyone and the kids enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the beach. It was a very easy 10 minute walk to the beach. It was nice being close to shopping and eating also. Hope to stay again in the future.

Great week with n Corolla at Funk n Treasure Carie’s beautiful large house!

Great location. Nice home layout with plenty of bedrooms and fantastic large kitchen / Family room. Pool is amazing and secluded! Pool table was fun. Other really good amenities! A great week!

large house , well staffed for large family Plenty of untensials BUT no bottle openor 2 full size refrigerators plus 2 smaller ones elevator/lift was great for bringing luggage & groceries to third level House was very clean Beach and pool were great , our family really enjoyed the stay MY Only complaint was the traffic getting there

Fun times in OBX

The stay at the house was great! Check in was quick and easy and communication with Carri was excellent. A couple of minor issues while we were there, but Carri responded quickly and handled them efficiently (which I truly appreciated). I will definitely recommend to friends and families in the future. Great family vacay

Perfect house for our family of 17. Walk to beach is a little long but doable. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. The added lift to get food and luggage to 2nd and 3rd floors was a lifesaver.

Amazing beach vacation!

My family and I (12 people total) stayed for a week and we enjoyed ourselves. The house is spacious, well-equipped, clean, and in a nice quiet location close to the beach. Carrie (host) was very responsive and addressed all questions promptly. I highly recommend this unit and would certainly stay again!

Perfect!

The only complaint I have is that our stay went by so fast. My family and I visits OBX once every year. We have to say that this was the most relaxing stay by far. The home was clean, beautiful, welcoming and Carri was in touch with us as needed throughout the stay. We love it and would love to rent again.

Great location and size for large family gathering

We had 11 adults and 7 kids (age 5 and under) staying. The walk to the beach was easy and we went often. Pool was great for the kids to swim in because ocean swimming and pool swimming are different, especially for young kids. The top level AC did not work for the 1st two days but the owners got someone over as soon as they could and it was fixed. The house was as expected from the listing and pictures. This was our first time vacationing as a large family and overall it was wonderful!

Great House

We had a fabulous week, the house was perfect for our family reunion with 19 people! At no point did we feel crowded in the house with all the decks large rooms and pool area. The short walk to the beach and shops was prefect for our group. Also, Carrie was very quick to respond with any questions I had along the way. I will definitely look to book with them again.

Great vacation homel

House had everything you could want. Only negative not very clean, vents, ceiling fans extremly dirty. Kitchen counter, stove and table sticky and dirty.

30th Birthday Get Away

We had an awesome weekend! Carri was such a pleasure to deal with, she was always quick to respond when I had questions, and just a joy to work with. The cottage was everything that we expected it to be and more. The heated pool and the hot tub were amazing, as it was quite chilly while we were there. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you again Carri for everything!!!

Great house with all the amenities

We definitely enjoyed this house. We had multiple families with ages from infant to 60ish. The walk to the beach was easy, the pool and hot tub were great and the house was clean and in good shape. Contact with the owner was good. I messaged her a few times with questions and got prompt replies. It was a really good experience.

We decided back in 2006 that we were going to build a home in the Outer Banks. This had been a dream of my husband's since he was a kid and spent many a family vacation in the Outer Banks. We had a lot of fun deciding on the right property to purchase, and then ultimately choosing the floor plan for this home. We wanted a home that would be suitable for several families to vacation together while still having some space and privacy. We love the way this house turned out. Both my husband and I work stressful jobs and enjoy traveling to Corolla in the off season, if only for the weekend. We have 4 children (3 are pictured), one lives in Heaven. You will notice that our home is child friendly, and we are safety conscious. We lost our daughter due to a preventable accident, which has resulted in our mission of sharing Maddie's Message. You can visit our website by googling Maddie's Message (VRBO prevents me listing that web address on this site) ...especially if you have small children, grandchildren, or have friends with small children. Our oldest son is 28 and has a wife and two daughters. Our 21-year-old son works full time here in Virginia Beach with his older brother. Our baby girl is 16 and is a Junior in High school. She has a heart for law, and is exploring college options now! We have worked hard to make sure that while you are vacationing in our home that you have everything you need in order to make your vacation relaxing and stress free.
