My husband and I wanted a peaceful retreat outside of Santa Fe, and that is exactly what we got. Very pretty little hacienda out in the countryside, off a dirt road, quiet and private. Very clean, too, and all amenities provided, including good coffee. There are a couple other guest haciendas on the property, but this hacienda is set well apart and facing away from them into the vineyard (with a glimpse of snow-covered mountaintop in the distance), with two walled private patios (one facing the vineyard), and we neither saw nor heard any neighbors. It was very relaxing and quiet. Being early spring the trees were not leafed out, but there were many birds and we were able to open the windows during the daytime, and their singing filled the hacienda all day. It's also an easy drive to sights and activities if you want that; we didn't, we just really enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet. It was a very restful stay.
Also really appreciated the bottle of wine the owner provided, the little propane grill outside (we grilled every night), and the small firepit. The owner stopped by our first night to make sure we had everything we needed and give us tips about the best drives and hikes in the area, and we had a really nice conversation with him. In all we loved it, and would happily stay there again.
