This beautifully renovated 20th-century barn has been brightened up with modern touches while still retaining all of its original charm. You'll love the way the Edison lighting highlights the native Brown Co. walnut wood. With 2,500 square feet of space, you'll have plenty of room to relax and unwind. Cozy up on the oversized down-feathered sofa and enjoy your favorite movie on the flat-screen TV. The fully stocked kitchen and barn-style table are perfect for preparing any meal or grilling outside.

Late nights can be spent shooting pool or enjoying the wet bar with its temperature-controlled fridge. If you're looking to unwind, soak in the tub or take a hot shower before retiring to one of the cozy downstairs bedrooms. A spiral staircase leads up to the bedroom loft for two, complete with a seating area.

For unexpected guests, there's also a queen sleeper sofa available. Spend your evenings gathered around the fire pit under the starry sky, or take a walk around the property to spot wildlife like turkey and deer. Birdsong truly has it all.
PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per a pet

Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring.

These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience!

ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.
Effective July 1, 2025 the county has raised the innkeepers tax from 5% to 8%.

We had an absolute blast! The location was exactly what we were looking for...close enough to do things, but secluded enough that we could get away! The tin roof was so wonderful with the rain storm that came through! We will be booking again!

If your looking for a quite, secluded place but still close to shopping, state park and food option's, this is definitely the place for you. Loved the quiet nights and mornings, even had a fawn visit the yard daily! Everything you need is approx. 10 mins away. Good chance I will be back to book this one in the future.

This place was perfect for us. The only problem was the smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night both nights we were there so we couldn't sleep. We reported it the first time and supposedly it was to be fixed while we were out. Not sure why it went off again the 2nd night. Other than that it was a wonderful getaway.

Relaxing cabin stay

The cabin was great. It had plenty of space inside, for everyone to have their own room, but it also had an open concept for everyone to be together. Outside was very relaxing, with the fire pit and hot tub.

Short Getaway

This was a perfect place to get away for a couple of nights. Property was as advertised and was very clean. It had a lot of comforts to make it cozy and convenient, and the oversized couch was incredible! Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Quaint country feel

We loved finding this spacious place for our family to stay while attending a wedding in Brown County State Park. Allowed us to be close and have a quiet place to relax.

Quiet place

Loved the quiet surroundings. The owner was awesome, one small detail Cleaning out in the window corners , cleaning the corners a little better, through out the main level , beds were great , convenient to downtown Nashville Indiana

We had air conditioning issues at this property, the property manager got us moved quickly to a different property. Appreciate them addressing the issue, we would definitely use them again.

Lovely

We very much enjoyed our stay! Beautiful location and accommodations. All beds & linens were super comfy. Kitchen well stocked. Enjoyed the pool table a lot! The property management company (Moondance Vacation Rentals) was very kind & accommodating when I messed up our nights & last minute needed a place to stay in addition to the planned rental. Found some off the beaten path hiking despite it being one of the busiest weekends of the year in Nashville. It was great - would do it again!

The house was great, I loved the amenities that were provided, and the property was beautiful. I do believe that since the binder states that power outages occur often that there should be a big lantern and flash lights that work. We were able to find some flashlights but none of them worked so we were forced to sit in the dark or use our flashlights. We were out of power for around 8 hours during our stay in May 21, 2022.

Charming and spacious

This is a well decorated and stocked rental. The space is huge. We couldn’t get over it. Usually when we rent a place in Nashville, we have to drive down some pretty terrible roads. That isn’t the case here. It was an easy drive and close to the city center. You don’t even need four wheel drive. The kitchen has everything, including a blender and crockpot. There’s a gas stove and grill. The tub is amazing and there was actually enough hot water. Watching the sun rise from the deck was a favorite moment. A few notes - I’m not sure it would be comfortable in the summer but was perfect for fall. The pool table is off balance. There was some bathroom trash left from a previous person.

Great location and nicely renovated.

We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. There are a few things I wish I had known prior to checking in but they are not necessarily negatives, they would have just helped us prepare for our trip a little better. Keeping in mind that it is a renovated barn and we stayed there in January, it was very difficult to keep the living area warm. The host did provide a few infrared heaters, but you have to be careful where you plug them to avoid tripping the breaker.The hot tub was great, there were a few jets that did not work and it sits outside the walkout basement door so its not covered and you do have to walk through some wet/muddy ground to get to it so take some kind of slip on shoes for getting to/from the hot tub. The bathroom door was missing a piece of trim that left a pretty exposed gap in the door where you could see into the bathroom as you walked by. This was not an issue for us because it was just the two of us, but it could be awkward with a larger group.There is no cell service at all (at least with AT&T) within a mile or so of the cabin but the WiFi worked great and we were able to leverage that for service.Overall nothing negative regarding the property or the host, we go to Brown County several times a year and would happily use this host and cabin again.

Great decor/ poor functionality

The barn was beautifully decorated. I would hire them to redo my home! The barn was such a cool idea, but not for what I booked it for and not in the very hot summer months. This was to be a romantic weekend for me and my hubby for his 40th birthday. We have stayed in many cabins in Brown County and this one was the most beautiful but the most uncomfortable to stay in. Even with all the fans going we could not stay cool. The lofted bedroom, which was the best space, was uncomfortable to sleep in and only had a full bed. The property had a very musty/ moldy smell. I had a sticky film on my skin the entire time. And even though all windows and doors were closed the entire time, a bat got in at 1 am! I understand this is a renovated barn. I guess I was just so surprised on how uncomfortable it was to stay in with how pretty it was and how expensive. I wish we rented it in the cooler months since all the reviews seemed to be much better. The one complaint that I already shared with the property manager that I hope gets resolved was the lawn mowing. We rented the property from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, with Saturday as our main day there. While taking a mid day nap someone came to mow the lawn. This should have been scheduled when someone hasn’t paying to enjoy the property. Besides being woke up, the hammock was knocked over and grass clipping thrown all over it. Needless to say we did not hop in the grassy hammock like we had planned. We were just disappointed:(

We do have someone on call 24/7 and we would have been more than happy to send someone out to rectify any issues. We do state in our rental agreement that you may encounter wildlife and lawn care may be present during your stay.

Very rocky girls trip, disappointing

We thought the location was nice and the decor was well done. We had major issues with cleaniness. We know it is in the woods and its a old barn however because the owners didnt screen in the fans upstairs, flies and wasps come in and it's alot. We came in the first day to over 40 flies dead and several flies and wasps alive. Upstairs bedroom we couldnt even use because of how many flies there were and several were dead in the sheets and on the pillows. We notified the owner on the first day and he had someone bring us bug spray and fly swatters and had a exterminator come out however the exterminator and caretaker both told us that we would continue to have issues due to the owner not screening in the fans which they said is simple and inexpensive. We were very disappointed that the owners solutions were making it our responsibility. We asked what we should do since one bed was unusable and the solution was "sleep on the couch". For amount of money we spent for 3 beds, that is unacceptable. Very disappointing. The owner is prompt to responsd but does not provide reasonable compensation or solutions for issues that easily could be solved. It also smells like wet basement, a humidifier would help that. The weather stripping is missing on the side porch door allowing bugs and water to enter the home. As much as we loved visiting brown county, this was a major disappointment for is. Some of us drove over 7 hours to be together and this did not live up to the expectations.

Beautiful property!! We had a wonderful stay celebrating my son’s IU graduation!

This amazing property was so unique and perfect for our family. We took walks, had awesome views, relaxed in jacuzzi, and used the firepit in the evenings. Not far from IU, the cute downtown of Nashville, and fun spots like ziplining with eXplore Brown County, and jeep rides at Hard Truth Distillery. Thanks for everything!
