Perfect location, perfect house!

Thank you for giving us an incredible home base for exploring Texas Hill Country! We loved all the spaces for gathering, inside and out. Renting both the "main house" and the Casita for my parents gave them plenty of privacy, which was wonderful. We adored petting and feeding Espresso, Latte, Lorenzo, and even Miss Cookie the cow! For the bird watchers among us, it was a thrill to watch a crested cara cara fly right over the house as we sat on the comfy couch on the patio! We enjoyed the hot tub nearly every night, and felt cozy and safe inside the one stormy night. The stargazing was spectacular, and the eclipse! Watching the April 8 total solar eclipse from the hill behind the house gave us nearly 360 degree views of that amazing, breathtaking event. Thank you, Gianna, for being so responsive and thoughtful before and throughout our stay! It was very hard to leave your lovely home and those spectacular views. We hope to return someday soon!

Hidden hill country

We took a mom’s and kids getaway here in January and had a blast. The house has everything you could need, and more. The huge fire pit and hot tub out back were so much fun. The best part hands down are the cute animals! The kids loved them so much and didn’t want to go home! We also walked the huge property and were in love with the views, so gorgeous! We will definitely be back for another mom’s getaway! P.S. the house is about 20 min from and gas station so make sure you have what you need.. you won’t want to leave once you get out there!

Awesome Place to Stay

My wife and I took our kids and grandchildren here for a Christmas vacation and the place was awesome. Met the owner and he was very nice and enjoyed talking with him. I highly recommend this place for family or a group of friends to go and have a great time.

My name is Gianna and I am the proud owner and operator for A Barn At The Quarry which includes this beautiful 4 bedroom Farmhouse for rent in the heart of Fredericksburg's gorgeous wine country. Our Farmhouse is located on an 11 acre farm with a magical non-spitting llama, a 900lb Oreo cow named Cookie, 2 adorable mini-donkeys who love to love and a great deal of privacy. I was an event planner for years and have always loved creating amazing unique spaces and experiences for people and our Farmhouse is definitely that. We are also happy to accommodate guests special requests and offer rentals of large outdoor projectors, do private cheffing, surprise gifts for special guests and event support to those doing retreats, special holidays and reunions. As the third female owner of A Barn At The Quarry a lot of love and attention to detail has gone into our property. We love to entertain our own family and friends at the Farmhouse so it's a fully stocked and very warm inviting space. We have indoor and outdoor games, a fully stocked kitchen with anything you would need to cook or entertain. Extra pillows, blankets and towels available and spices in the cupboard just like home. I fell in love with the property because of how peaceful, serene and absolutely beautiful the view is and how happy it made me to be there and we hope that you get to come and enjoy some of that beauty, peace and happiness too.

The house is set up on a hill so it has gorgeous hill country views that go on for miles in three different directions. Sitting outside you are likely to see white tail deer, armadillos and other peaceful animals grazing and passing by.

For awesome unique entertainment both Bankersmith & Grapetown Vineyards are within 7 min. of the house. Enjoy a burger, live music shows and feeding baby goats at Bankersmith or one of the many weekend festivals, safari tours or polo matches at Grapetown Vineyards just minutes away.

If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, in a truly beautiful peaceful part of Hill Country, this is definitely the place for you.

What makes our property even more unique and special is that we have 2 adorable and lovable mini donkeys, and an ever hungry curious llama, that roam freely on our 11 acre property.

They come to us after retiring from a petting zoo, so they are very friendly and love people. They come and go as they please, but love to pop by and say hello to guests in the hopes of making a new friend who might give them a treat.

We leave a bag with animal treats for every guests in case you run into them and want to get a selfie or just make a new friend. Our Oreo cow Cookie also enjoys treats. You are welcome to pop by her pen to pet her and give her a treat. She slobbers a little, but always appreciates the love.
