Our group was multi-generational, and the space, including Bear Trap and its amenities, offered great accommodations for everyone's needs. The hosts were responsive and kind as well. We had a wonderful, memorable stay.

Wonderful House for a family get together

Annual vacation but first time to Bethany Beach

Our group is 3 separate families that have been vacationing together for the last 17 years, but this was our first time to Bethany Beach. We chose this house because it advertised it could accommodate our group of 13, and it did not disappoint. The house was great, the community of Bear Trap is beautiful, and the host was an amazing communicator, was very personable, and made us feel as special as if we were staying in a 5 star hotel. The common spaces felt a little tight at times since our whole group is now teens and adults, but having the finished space in the basement also gave us room to spread out when watching TV or playing games. All in all, this place and the host met our expectations and validated the other positive reviews we read. This will be another great vacation memory for our families.

Wonderful location

The house was perfect for our whole crew! It was stocked full of everything you could possibly need. I have never stayed in a place before where the kitchen was such a wonderful working kitchen and had every appliance and gadget imaginable. Definitely would recommend this property. Thank you Liz for providing your home to us!

the house was just the space we needed and very clean.The Bear Trap facilities were ok - but too expensive for as much as we used them. A little farther away from ocean then we really would want.

Great time

The townhouse was very clean and exactly as advertised. The hosts provided everything you could want and had a lot of extras like paper products and toiletries. We brought our own but it was nice to have if you forgot anything. The garage was well stocked with beach gear. We had a great time.

13th Annual Trip to celebrate our 6 girls Graduation!

The house was perfect for the 13 of us, plenty of space, beds and bathrooms! The lower level was great for the girls to hang out in after long days of beach, boardwalk, pool! The house and property has everything and more than we needed. Highly recommend Lizś property and this location for a family friendly, safe & fun beach destination. We have met annually since the summer after kindergarten so this was our 13th year, the 6 girls (3 sets of twins, 3 families) the girls wanted a beach destination and Bethany Beach was even better than we imagined!

Perfect vacation’

We were a three generation family totaling 13. This house was perfect for us being immaculately clean and very spacious. The house and garage are stocked with anything you could possibly need. The Bear Trap community was very welcoming and we enjoyed all the amenities available. The owners Liz and Chris were Alex amazing and in touch with us within minutes to help with any questions or minor issues that cropped up. We would highly recommend this house!

Annual Family Vacation

We had a great week at this property. Anything you could possibly need was stocked by Liz. We did attempt to grill and had no gas but she told us where we could go close by to grill. There was plenty of room for the 11 of us to spread out and be comfortable! The outside area was a great place to sit and relax and have coffee in the morning or drinks in the afternoon. We would love to rent again from Liz next year!!

Enjoyed our stay!

The place was really nice and as pictured! Our family had a great time. The community is great! Our family loved the pool and shuttle, but that does cost extra and can be costly with a large family. If you have golfers in the family, you can’t beat the location. Having the clubhouse so close is nice for a convenient meal or drinks. The only downfall was the Wi-Fi. If you need that for work, trying to download anything was next to impossible. Contacting the host toward the end of our stay for 2 things, I didn’t get a response. Overall though, it was a great vacation.

Fantastic location and value

Perfect for a big group. Short walk to all facilities. We love Bethany...this as our second family stay at Bear Dunes. The only issue to be mindful off, and it can be sizable, is that the area has AWFUL cell phone coverage. Kind of crazy - there's a sign down the road protesting the building of a cell tower, but man do they need it. I've been in national forests with better coverage. This makes Wifi critical but coverage there was spotty too and quite frustrating...turned down at 11pm...and speed tests were quite limited. That said, the place and owner are great...all available amenities, comfortable and clean. Bear Dunes is as relaxing as it gets. 5 stars regardless.

Lovely home

This is a lovely townhome that comfortably accommodated our family of 8 adults and 7 children. Bear Trap is very nice with well maintained facilities and friendly staff. We were disappointed that the powder room toilet did not work and clearly had not worked for some time. The grill, on which we planned an expensive dinner, also does not work; we could not attach the new propane tank we purchased because the valve was rusted. The electric outlets in the 4 bathrooms did not work, so hairdryers and other grooming aids could not be used, although outlets throughout the rest of the house worked just fine. Finally, the WIFI is unreliable and the working adults in our family were frustrated and had to leave Bear Trap to check email and attend on-line meetings. We enjoyed our time there and appreciate the amenities provided by the host.

The powder room toilet had to be broken during your stay, our cleaner notified us the day after your group checked out and we had a plumber there the next day to fix the problem. As for the outlets, there must be a tripped breaker, as this is the first we have heard of it. Lastly, the internet throughout DE is not great unfortunately and Mediacom is aware and will reset router when the problem is too much to reset on site. Both my husband and I work from that house most of the off-season. Sorry about the grill though, it was working on Memorial Day and will get addressed when we are there next week.

Great stay in Bethany!

Our family of 12 stayed for a week and had a great time! The house was clean when we arrived, and well stocked for everything we needed! Nice variety of bedding arrangements, and every couple/family was able to have their own bathroom, which is really nice. The main floor common area is small for a big group, but downstairs was the place to hang out and play a game or watch a movie. Downside is this is really the only place where the Wifi works. With poor cell service on at least three different networks, we had to use wifi calling, so had to go to the basement to do that. My husband also had to check in at work on his laptop. The house would benefit from a couple of wifi boosters, which I suggested to the owner. In her defense, one of us lives in the area, and said everyone has problems with the local internet provider. The location of the condo was perfect - on the end of a row, so less neighbor noise, across from the clubhouse, and a short walk to the pool, which was a blessing with everything we had to tote for kids and baby! We really enjoyed the pool, which was never too crowded. We were also only a short drive to some great restaurants and mini golf. We also got lunch at the club house restaurant on one of our pool days and it was good! Easy take out to the pool. Overall, I would recommend this house. It was comfortable, clean and convenient. You just have to be aware of the internet isssues, especially if you expect to work at all while on vacation.

Nice family house

Good space for large families. Hosts are communicative and have really everything you need there. We've been going to bear trap for years and found this property to be "on par" with other rentals in the complex. Few hiccups during our stay that were outside of the owners immediate control, but again, communication was good and solutions were offered/implemented. Few specific things: 1. The house is adjacent to retail space and there are quite a few ac condensers outside the front door. This does create a fair amount of noise that can be heard inside the house. 2. It's an end unit and does not have its door face village green drive. Go around back and you'll find the garage and side door easily. 3. The garage is well supplied with beach items. Games, chairs, umbrellas, etc for kids and adults alike. Darts were a favorite of the older kids 4. There is a wet bar with a fridge in the basement. This makes the medium sided main fridge bigger since drinks can go downstairs. 5. The dryer is not very good at drying. It'll get things dry eventually, but plan on turning it on a 2nd time. 6. There is great parking right behind the house but it is fought for by patrons of the driving range.

Disappointed

Overall the property was nice and the property owners were responsive. But we had few issues that made our stay unpleasant. 1. The welcome email was not v clear which led us to go back and forth a lot with the owner. For example the WiFi password was on the side of the refrigerator so we were without WiFi for a day until we heard back from the owners. The property had many amenities which was the primary reason we picked it. However, the fee to use amenities was not included. Also the pickleball court was closed for the weekend which we were not aware of. 2. There were ants everywhere! Credit to the property manager for bringing the baits within a short time of us complaining . Unfortunately the traps didn’t do much. 3. The checkout was the most disappointing of all. Agree, we left few dishes in the sink but the message that was sent came across as if we had trashed the house. They nitpicked on things like few plastic bottles left on the night stand and toy cars left on the floor. We have rented many properties in the past and never had this experience . They ended up charging $100 in addition to the initial cleaning fee. I would not rent this property again.

The check in and out instructions were not only posted on the refrigerator, but in the property binder and sent ahead of your stay through the site. No other guest has ever had an issue understanding the rules along with what the wifi credentials are. The place was left a mess and the cleaners had to clean 2 hours longer than normal. Dirty towels and dishes in every room, dirty dishes in sink and a dishwasher full of dirty dishes as well, not only that, the house was left completely unlocked. After we delivered the traps as soon as we heard of the issue, the cleaners said there was no sight of ants. We agree that we will not rent to these guests again, as we expect guests to treat our home as they would treat their own.

Family Paradise

We had a phenomenal family gathering. The location of this townhome was so convenient to the amenities: swimming pool, tennis/pickle ball courts, basketball, indoor lap swimming, hot tub, steam sauna, and the common lawn (ideal for cornhole and dessert party.) The garage was stocked with beach chairs and sports equipment. The interior was spotless with a variety of bedrooms and large party room in the basement. We had a great time!

Bethany Beach 4 Family Vacation

A very enjoyable vacation for our 4 family group. House was spacious and well equipped so group activities were possible with adequate separation available for those who chose to sit out. Facility pass at Bear Trap pools/exercise was well worth it. especially for non-avid beach goers. Shuttles to beaches eliminate expensive and sometimes hard to find parkings. Owners were very responsive to any and all questions/concerns. Definitely planning on going back next year.

Overall a good place to stay!

Very nice, great location and amenities. A few little oversights. Light out in the upstairs hallway, only one dish towel and no dishcloths and trouble with wifi. But overall a great experience.

Stay was wonderful!

This home was perfect for our group. We had 4 couples and our children. Each couple had an spacious and comfortable bed. The children made use of each room and sofa bed! The home was exactly as described. The driving range was a huge hit for all. We would love to rent again and would certainly recommend this property.

Relaxing Escape

This is such a beautiful and clean home! Everything in this house is very Family Friendly! It literally had everything that you need for your little ones! Toys, Games, Baby Gates! The rooms are so roomy and comfortable. Thank you Liz for having us stay in your beautiful clean and cozy home!

Had a Blast!

The house was absolutely amazing. It was georgious, lots of space and it had anything & everything you needed and more. It was very clean, all guests commented the beds and even the pillows were very comfortable, clean. My friends and I were looking to get away for a long weekend from healthcare....we are exhausted! We had lots of drinks and lots and lots of laughs. And were able to share our stories. Location was great. Bethany is like between Rehobeth & OC. We visited both sides. Spent day sitting on the beach. Nice to have nearby restaurants and shops. Royal farm store at the end of the road. It truly is a great house & location. Thank you!

Our family of 4 includes two little boys (19 months and 3 1/2 year old). We have just purchased this place and want to share with others to make the best golf getaway or family vacation to be had by all. We will welcome suggestions be any who visit and hoping to make better as we go.

We have a set of clubs there for use, as the property backs to the driving range, but is also steps to the pools, playgrounds, gym and tennis courts. Also close to the shuttle to Bethany Beach.
