Das Haus hat eine fantastische Lage im wunderschönen Ort Braemar. Man kann praktisch von der Tür aus in die Highlands wandern. Auch Ausflüge nach Loch Ness, Inverness und in das hübsche Hafenstädtchen Stonehaven waren möglich. Highlight ist auch ein Besuch von Balmoral, es liegt nur ein paar Meilen entfernt und wir konnten die Königsfamilie sehen. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man im Urlaub benötigt. Ein wunderbarer Garten mit Teich, jeden Tag freuten wir uns über die Kaninchen und die Eichhörnchen und das Rebhuhn, die Rotkehlchen und viele weitere Tiere Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit und geben gute Tipps. Vielen Dank für eine wunderbare Woche bei euch Fiona und Collin

Perfect place to stay to enjoy beautiful Braemar

Everything you need to enjoy a visit to Braemar. Garden is stunning and a place to stay, relax and take in all the amazing wild life around. Red Squirrel came to visit, so many bird species, plus bats and a toad!

Excellent property with every provision carefully met. Garden is wild, natural, and beautiful. The property’s hosts were exceptional in their interest and knowledge of Braemar and area.

Proper Walking

We were on a break with our walking club, ODL. They mostly stayed just off the A93. We had the better accommodation in the centre of Braemar village.

Fantastisch verblijf

Vakantiehuis heel compleet en comfortabel ingericht. Koffie ent hee aanwezig, vaatwastabletten en wasmiddel. Flesje wijn stond klaar. Goede bedden, heerlijke douche in ruime badkamer, Netflix, goede uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes en wandelen. Hond uitlaten in stuk bos aan de overkant van straat. Heel hartelijke en behulpzame hosts. Family holiday

Perfect for our family with three kids aged between 5 and 11. We were ridiculously fortunate with the weather throughout our week’s stay so were able to make good use of the excellent garden, the decking and the barbecue. Kids loved the resident rabbits and the other wildlife in the garden. Lots of helpful local tips from the owners which improved our stay. We will happily return.

Our family’s “Braemar Gathering”!

Nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms, our family stayed at the Bedside Manor, Braemar, for 3 nights at the end of September 2024. A huge benefit is they’re dog friendly (even have a doggy box ready for their arrival). The cabin has everything you need. The village has a greengrocer, pub, gallery, butcher, coffee shops, etc all on it’s doorstep. It’s located in the centre of the village, only a 5 minute gentle stroll away from the stars of show, The Fife Arms Hotel and the world famous Braemar Gathering (Royal Memorial Park). We can only suggest that if it’s available - book it - you won’t regret it.

Lovely stay at Bedside Manor

Sadly we spent only three nights at Bedside Manor in Braemar. The cottage is beautifully located on a lovely property, and was just off the main road, behind the owners’ cottage. We were made very welcome by Fiona, who greeted us upon arrival and provided information about the cottage and the area. Fiona was very responsive throughout the rental process and during our stay. The cottage was comfortable, spacious and suited our every need. We were treated to sighting of a red squirrel who came to feast upon the treats each morning that the cottage owners had left on the deck. We were so pleased to finally see the elusive red squirrel, after having passed several signs along the Highland roads warning us that they may be present on the road (they never were). Bedside Manner is well situated for hikes, directly from the door, or a short drive away, and there are several restaurants just a couple minutes walk from the cottage. A wonderful stay! Thanks for your hospitality!

What a find! easiest 5 stars

I feel I don’t want to share this gem of a find as it will make it harder for me to book in the future. The accommodation has everything plus more you will need. It’s like home from home. The owners are so friendly and helpful and were a real pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Their local knowledge is vast and they are happy to share and point you in the right direction. I will go back without a doubt and Braemar is a lovely village close to some fantastic walks and scenery. We found the TV hard to use for free to air programmes but you are in the highlands who needs TV anyway.

Warm, spacious and clean cottage.

A must stay at cottage in Braemar

Fiona and Colin's cottage is perfect for a long or short stay. This is our second visit and we're planning #3 for 2025. The cottage is well located, quiet, quick walk to the village. The 'worst' part of the cottage is having to be entertained by the rabbits, robins and red squirrels. Such a delight. The cottage has everything you need for a fabulous stay in Braemar.

Peaceful break

Lovely cottage with everything youll ever need for a weeks stay in it. Amazing garden and so close to restaurants, cafes and local attractions. Local walks are beatiful too. Would have given it 6 stars if it had a hot tub 😁 Hosts are very helpful and friendly.

Braemar short break

Lovely character cabin situated 2 minutes walk from the village centre. Perfect base for exploring the Cairngorms. Hosts were very welcoming, I'd highly recommend this property.

Fantastic cabin and hosts

We stayed for 4 nights during May 2023. Host couldn’t have been more accommodating - true Scottish hospitality at its finest. The cabin is even better than the photographs suggest and the gardens are lovely too. Perfectly located to explore Braemar and surrounding area. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Fantastic and peaceful stay

My family and I had a stay at this lovely lodge in Braemar. The host Fiona was so welcoming and made our stay feel special. The lodge was a great size, very clean and had a beautiful garden that we still managed to enjoy even in the snow. The lodge is close to amenities - Coop, pharmacy etc. I hope we can stay here again in the future!

Absolutely wonderful!

Hubbie and I stayed with our dog for the weekend. The property is in an excellent location in Braemar, close to local shops, restaurants and walks! The garden is amazing! We loved the size, design and it’s right on the edge of open landscape. The property was very clean with good quality bedding, towels. Liked the wee extras ie 2 sets of binoculars (I always forget mine!). Owner, Fiona was friendly, approachable. We would highly recommend this property.

Lovely cabin in Braemar

We had a wonderful week in Bedside Manor. The cabin was clean, comfortable and ideally located in the village yet still surrounded by countryside with deer and a red squirrel visiting the extensive garden. The children adored it and had a great time running around the grounds. Fiona and Colin were extremely welcoming and helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending the cabin for anyone who wants a stay in Braemar.

My husband and I are now semi-retired and live most of the time in Braemar. Our cabin is located in the grounds of our cottage. Sometimes, we will be an hour away at our house in Aberdeen. We love to spend time in Braemar and take advantage of the many activities available as well as a regular programme of cultural events and festivals during the year.

When we bought this property, we were astounded by the garden and the opportunities presented by having a separate "guest house", which is now our rental cabin. We very much enjoy welcoming people to our property.

The cabin in ideally suited in Braemar village but with excellent access to all surrounding areas, especially if you are keen on walking or ski-ing. There are several shops and restaurants in Braemar, all within about 400 yards of the cabin. The cabin is completely independent of our own, older-style traditional cottage so guests are able to come and go in complete freedom and enjoy their stay.
