Villa Oliva-Modern Architect's Home美しいサンジャンビーチから5分！

My companion, Francois Pecard, has been an architect in Saint Barthelemy since 1978 and I moved here from Italy in 2002. We built this home in 2008. We have five children between the two of us living in Vancouver, Germany and the U.S. As our last child leaves the nest we will be traveling often, and it will be our pleasure to open our peaceful and comfortable home to select guests. We love Saint Barthelemy and do our best to protect it. We prefer the peaceful nature of Saint Barth to the "bin-blin" reputation the island can be known for. We enjoy the beautiful beaches and sea water, snorkeling, hikes and wonderful cuisine (or just a simply bbq at the house)! My husband has a small sailboat he uses a few times a week to find peace after a busy day. We speak four languages and truly enjoy experiencing other cultures and meeting new people. We have a particular "soft spot" for Italy where my husband traveled and I lived for 15 years. We currently have 3 other small properties listed on VRBO in Amboise, France (La Petite Vigne) Colorado (Vinemesa Cabin) and a small guest house located on our property in Saint Barth (see L'Olivetto) that we have rented since 2012.

Our villa is located in the center of the island in Saint Jean which we absolutely love for its proximity to everything the island has to offer. We walk almost daily to the beautiful beaches of Saint Jean. We're just a few more minutes to the beach of Lorient where our son surfs. Everything is easy in Saint Jean and our neighborhood is an upscale residential neighborhood with fairly large lots for peace and privacy.

Our villa is very easy to maintain with rectified ceramic tiles, glass suspended italian kitchen, and permanent sliding hurricane shutters that create a cocoon in bad weather-just slide them shut! We love our indoor and outdoor dining spaces for large family gatherings. We have just recently completed the exterior terrace and 10 meter (30 feet) swimming pool surrounded by palm trees and flowers, creating a private tropical oasis. Two identical bedrooms, each with it's private bathroom and outdoor private shower, make it a perfect home for 2 couples or a family of 4.
