We had a great experience. We’ve been vacationing in Kiawah for years. Loved the location. The house was spotless. Kitchen has everything we needed. The screen porch was great. Was able to use the grill one night. Lovely cottage for our visit to our favorite place.

Great Kiawah neighborhood and rental

Returned to Kiawah with nice older Rental. While it’s “long in the tooth “ area, the proximity is perfect. Less than 120 yards to the beach and very close to Night Heron Park. Great family location.

Perfect location

This house was perfect for our family. Beautiful peaceful setting. Big enough for everyone to have their space. Kitchen had everything we needed. The grill on the deck was a bit rusty but that what happens at the beach. Nice bike ride to the beach. Enjoyed our visit.

Golf and wedding trip

Stayed for 3 nights for a combination golf and wedding trip. The house was as advertised. Very comfortable for the 4 of us. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. House was a very short walk to the beach. We would recommend this unit for a nice quiet getaway.

Great Fall Break retreat!

Located in a great community with close proximity to the beach. It is an older property with some updating/maintenance needed (i.e. carpet needs replacing, some outlets are loose, etc). Kitchen is well appointed and living space comfortable for a family. Would recommend!

Kiawah is always a great vacation. The island is beautiful, swimming is great and getting around is easy. The Oceanwoods 470 property is being ignored and so the house has issues.

Just what we needed

Great location. Easy beach access. Quiet neighborhood. Home was clean and just what we needed. Well stocked kitchen. Only hiccup - door latch on the screen porch door was broken.

Great Location

We stayed here the month of February 2024. Very close to the beach and plenty of paths to walk or ride a bike. Well appointed kitchen has basically everything you need, but none of the pots and pans are high quality. Plenty to explore on the island and never had a bad meal the whole time we were here. Unit was clean, but furnishings are old and tired.

We loved the house and location, the walk to the beach is short.

The only thing is you can only park 2 cars in the driveway, if you park more the neighbors will complain for some odd reason. We had to take the extra car 2+ miles away to a parking lot near the Harris Teeter. So if you have extra cars just beware.

Kiawah Island stay

As noted in the previous week's review Kiawah is the probably the best vacation spot on the east coast. However, this house has maintenance issues not being addressed by Vacasa. And, even when they said they would get "the team" over to address the issues they never called or followed up in any way. Hence the 1 star. Kiawah is great,but this house...not so much.

The property was very good, not so impressed with Vacasa

The appliances are good quality. The furniture is nice. It is very convenient to the beach. The house is well laid out. I would go back. There are a few minor things though that stick in the mind. The paper products are thin and cheap (paper towels, toilet paper, no tissues at all). The house accomodates six people, and there are exactly six spoons and six forks. which means you run the dishwasher after every meal. Very energy inefficient. And if you need a fork or spoon for serving, you don't have enough. This is silly. They don't save any significant money on these things, but they do make an impression on the renters.

The coffee pot was found to be broken when we arrived, and it was not replaced. The refrigerator ice dispenser did not work, causing ice to back up between the ice storage and the ice dispenser. The ceilings showed signs of water damage. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Property location is great for short (2-3 minute) walk to beach. The property is starting to show some significant age, however. The sliding glass door won't lock, is extremely difficult to open and close, the ice maker won't dispense through the door (you have get your ice by hand from inside the freezer). Indoor lighting in the living room area is also quite poor day and night unless you can sit near a lamp. An update is needed. If the other units nearby are available, I would choose one of them instead. We have stayed in almost every property on this road (Fiddler's Reach is the road name off of Eugenia, but it will be listed as Oceanwoods on any rental site) and most are a bit nicer.
