It was a fantastic vacation! The apartment is in a beautiful, lovingly furnished old house, just as you'd expect in Amsterdam. Everything is clean, the owner, Arjen, gave us a very friendly welcome, and the tour he took us through the neighborhood absolutely hit the spot with my daughters, who had never been to Amsterdam before. Almost everything is very close, usually within 12 to 20 minutes' walk, and if not - we had to use public transport for a cat café - that's no problem either. This city is so rich in diverse cultural opportunities that a week was far too short. Whether it's serious things (the Anne Frank House or the Holocaust Museum), interesting places (the Chinese Quarter around the corner, the Prostitute Museum, or a diamond polishing factory), trendy spots (Marineterrein for swimming), or the must-do activity when in the city: the canal cruise - everything starts from this beautiful captain's house - the icing on the cake. Thank you Arjen, that was one of the best holidays I've ever had with my daughters. Best regards, Anke
