Location is excellent. Home was what you expect for a historic home. Our biggest issues where the hand rails on stairs and upstairs are very loose. Not a great thing with the pitch of the stairs. We had kids and this was a major problem for us. Hot showers were short lived with about 10min then cold. Site needs some up keep but all and all great place and Location.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. This neighborhood is great. Within walking distance to everything that I needed on my trip. I had a conference at the Marriott and walked there every day. Then out at night to all restaurants and bars. Rarely had to crank my truck. The house was great. Very clean and comfortable.

There was a musty smell in the downstairs area. It wasnt overwhelming but noticeable. We cooked meals and did not have potholders for oven pans so used bathroom washcloth. The ice cube tray was broken but useable. On the positive side, the rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable.Overall it was a pleasant experience.

The property is within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, historical sights & bars. NO need to rent a car. The place was clean & tidy. The queen beds were comfortable & it was nice to have ensuite bathrooms in each bedroom. The pillows were basic & could have been more plush. Our only complaint was the kitchen albeit small, very was poorly equipped with dull knives, no salt & pepper, no olive oil, no basic spices, no tin foil, no plastic wrap & no plastic bags. Only 1 hand towel,1 roll of paper towel & 1 garbage bag for us to use the 5 days we were there. The Koi pond water level was running very low during our stay & we needed an access code to download an app on the Roku but management company did not respond over the weekend days, just an automated text with an emergency number & when I used that number I did not get a response until Monday morning.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is within walking distance (or a short drive) to many of the places/restaurants we visited. I loved that there was a dedicated parking spot. The home itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable queen beds and a cozy atmosphere. We visited during the hot summer months and the thermostat couldn’t be set below 72. It got pretty hot at night, so we recommend bringing a fan if you are heat-sensitive. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely consider this place on a future visit.

Our VRBO facility was a charming quaint. Savannah two bedroom with plenty of room to be comfortable for two couples. The outdoor garden was beautiful, and the location was perfect.

Ideal location

The location was ideal, and the unit was clean. However, my overall rating is a 3, primarily due to a strong musty odor that was extremely unpleasant. We requested a dehumidifier and asked for the air conditioner temperature to be lowered from 72 to 70 degrees to help with the humidity and smell. While a dehumidifier was brought over, it unfortunately did not alleviate the odor. Additionally, I never received a response to my three requests regarding the air conditioner. If the answer was no, it would have been more considerate to simply say so instead of being told they were still checking with the owner.The bedrooms were spacious, and the beds were comfortable, but it would be a nice touch to have king-sized beds. Please consider adding nonslip bath mats in the tubs for safety.

The Ultimate Southern Charmer

This historic home was just as beautiful as the photos. The private backyard patio was a dream and the ornate charm of the home overall was amazing. The Lucky Savannah staff were incredibly kind and quick to respond when we had questions or needed anything. I also appreciated that they offered complimentary luggage storage at their office after checkout so we could continue to enjoy Savannah a while longer before we had to head to the airport. The location was hard to beat, very walkable and close to the river and downtown area. Lots of restaurants, shops, cafes, parks, etc. just a quick walk away! Would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Savannah!
