This was our last stop in a 3-city vacation, and the roomiest space of all three. Location was great (close to metro, grocery store, and amazing pastries) and apartment was clean, covered all of our needs. It was nice that it felt "lived in" and not a generic rental space. Loved all the books and art work - felt a bit like a gallery. The lift helped with luggage, but stairs were fine for regular access.

5 days copenhagen with a family

Great stay, friendly en helpfulm hosts. Little disappointment for the kids as the bunkbed in the pictures is not in the appartment.

What a lovely home! It is spacious and well cared for. The Metro and bus stops are within a block and it's very easy to get to numerous places. There are three bakeries within a block or two with wonderful pastries and sandwiches. We thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay here. Mads was a wonderful host and was responsive to all of our questions. The apartment is on the third floor, but there is an elevator one can use for carrying up luggage. We would definitely stay here again.

Spacious apartment with loads of daylight; great balcony for enjoying street life below and skyline views; well located close to subway, grocery stores, restaurants and major attractions. Perfect for our lifestyle and first time visit to Copenhagen.

Absolutely amazing!

This location is incredible. The neighborhood had everything needed is a very safe environment. Mads responded to us immediately and ensured we were all set for our stay. The apartment was enormous and permited all four of us to have our own private bedrooms. This is a no-brainer.

Excellent location and generous sized apt

This apartment was light, spacious and perfectly located on canal, bus stop, metro, bike rental and with grocery, bakery and restaurants across the street. It was not as clean as I would have expected for the price-I did not feel comfortable to use their kitchen which was part of why I wanted to rent an apt rather than stay in a hotel. Some of the bedding was stained or ripped and without enough sheets for all beds. They apologized for a miscommunication with their cleaning person prior to our arrival regarding the sheets. If it was cleaned better, it would have been worth the $. It is a great location and nice layout.

Excellent location and communication

We had a lovely stay in this comfortable and nicely decorated apartment. It is at the intersection of a busy street a beautiful canal. It is on the third floor, so it did not feel noisy to us. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the bicycles and boats go by. Within a block of the apartment there is: a metro station, a bus stop, an excellent café/bakery, a canal-side bar/restaurant, and a grocery store. If you enjoy walking, you can easily arrive to many on Copenhagen's sights on foot. Mads was very responsive when we had any questions. The apartment was very clean, but be aware this it does feel as though you are staying in a family home rather than a made-to-rent property. This did not bother us, and we would stay here again. I might suggest a bit more lighting in the rooms. Thank you, Mads; you have a gem of a place!

My Trip

The property was spacious, lots of light, terraces, filled with art, and very comfortable. The area, right next to the Canal, Metro, bus, & supermarket, is fantastic. A very Safe,& convenient area. Rufina Restaurant nearby, is excellent Italian food.Mads, the host was extremely communicative,& helpful. Great trip.

Fabulous Location

This apartment has a lot of space and is very conveniently located (walking distance to downtown attractions and very close to a metro station). All communications were clear and very prompt. My sister and I had a fabulous time in Copenhagen with this stress-free, large and interesting apartment!

Cozy, large and light

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is very large, roomy and very sunny with eclectic interior. Very charming. I stayed there with my 12 year old and two teenagers and there was enough space for everyone to have their own room. The location is really great. Metro is literally right out the door but you can also easily walk to central town. Christianshavn in itself has it all. Right on the canals with lots of restaurants and cafes in walking distance. Very happy family!

A great place Within walking distance of all key attractions-a home away from home!

From my first communication with Mads this was a great experience. Mads even went so far as to locate a store that made a specific candy I remembered from my childhood. Mads and his family were to be out of the country when we arrived. He notified us ahead of time and let us know his parents would meet us. Everything went smoothly and they were great also. The apartment has a subway stop just across the street that is only a few stops away from the airport-very handy. Also there is a canal right outside with a Hop on-Hop off boat stop. Very convenient. The apartment was just as described and everything worked well. As is typical in Copenhagen the apartment did not have AC but we were in the middle of a heat wave and did fine with the fan provided. An added bonus was again right outside the door is one of the best bakeries in Copenhagen. In summary an excellent stay and prompt and excellent communication with Mads. I would highly recommend this apartment. Thank you Mads and family for sharing your home with us.

Exactly as Promised!

This Copenhagen City Centre home is delightful and exactly as promised. Every picture, every detailed description was 100% accurate. The owner and his family made us feel welcome from the very beginning. Their warm hospitality and easy nature made us feel as if we were staying at a friend's home while they were away. We were delighted by how easy it was to walk to some of the very best restaurants, pubs, and tourist attractions in the area. Most places (grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, etc. are 2-4 minutes away on foot. Nyhavn is a pleasant 15 minute walk, and Tivoli is less than 20 minutes by foot. The metro is literally a 1 minute walk away - which made getting to and from the airport super easy. In hindsight, we probably could have taken the metro to the many of the places we visited by foot, but the weather was great, it stayed light well into the summer night, and we always felt safe, so it just seemed natural to walk. Bicycles are also a very popular way of getting around. We didn't use them, but if you enjoy cycling, I noticed a place to rent them directly across the street, next to the metro station. I read a few of the reviews about street noise and want to share my family's experience. Yes there is some street noise (traffic, people, occasional horns, etc.). We expected that based on the description of the location. My husband is a light sleeper, so we closed our windows at night and used the free Wi-Fi to play a 9-hour YouTube sleep sound machine video on our cell phone. We slept well throughout the night every night. Our daughter slept in the back bedroom with her windows open every night and never heard a thing. My parents slept in the master bedroom. They sleep with their windows open at home and did the same here without any issues. During our stay, we were also blessed to hear a group of people singing on the street, opera floating through the summer night air, and the sounds of families enjoying time together boating on the canal. It was a wholly immersive experience that I wouldn't have traded for anything. My recommendation - if you are concerned about nighttime noise pack earplugs or find a sound masking app/ video. But do not miss the opportunity to stay at this fabulous property in an ideal location with some of the nicest owners you'll ever meet.

Perfect location and great hosts!

We had a wonderful vacation in Copenhagen, staying in this apartment was absolutely perfect. It's spacious, clean, bright natural light, great views, and a perfect location! Grocery stores, coffee shops, the metro, all within one block. The hosts are really friendly, which made our experience even better! I'm very thankful they open their home to guests and that we were able to book the apartment, it was exactly what we were looking for, I'd stay again if ever back in Copenhagen.

Beautiful apartment with cultural character, balconies with view and elevator

We really enjoyed staying in the large apartment with well selected interiors, where each item seems to have a history and there are numerous beautiful books. Truly cosmopolitan apartment centrally located in beautiful Christianshavn with the metro station just across the street. We enjoyed the balconies with view over the canal. All communication with Mads was very enjoyable. We recommend this apartment and would like to stay there again.

Very nice apartment in the city center

Spacious apartment with a lot of natural light, in a short walking distance to Cristiania, Tivoli and the main areas of Copenhague. (The only suggestion to the owners is to have more lamps because during the night the living room and the rooms are a little bit dark). You can find in the apartment everything you need to cook and to be confortable, and, as well there are a lot of supermarkets, coffee shops, bars, take aways and restaurants around. The owners are very nice and honest.

Best location!

Wonderful Copenhagen

We stayed in this lovely 3rd floor apartment for 7 nights. It is very well located in a beautiful part of Copenhagen - very central for main tourist attractions and local shops, restaurants. All amenities ( washing machine, dishwasher etc) are available and the wifi is very fast. The public rooms are spacious and airy and there is an elevator which was handy on arrival with heavy luggage! The drawbacks were minor- lack of hanging space for clothes and traffic noise from the busy street below. All in all the apartment was tremendous value for money and we would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to others.

Im an ex principal balletdancer with The Royal Danish Ballet and I live together with my wife who works at the Michelin restaurant Era Ora just around the corner from the apartment and our three kids of age 5,6 and 12 years old.
We love our home that is located in one of Copenhagen´s most charming areas and reflects our interests in art. litteratur and music.
We will do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible and hope you´ll love it as much as we do. "Mi casa su casa."

The apartment is located in one of the most charming and popular areas of the city.
The narrow cobbled streets, the Michelin-starred restaurants and cozy cafes, along with the beautiful views of the famous and fairytalelike "Our Saviors Church" and the characteristic Copenhagen canals, makes this a very attractive location both for the Danes and visitors just passing by.
Many artists and other creative souls live in Christianshavn which contributes to it´s laid back, friendly and inspiring atmosphere.

It is central, full of bars, with a unique maritime atmosphere and only a few steps away from Nyhavn, Christiania, The Royal Danish Opera House/Theatre/Ballet.
