Within a 10 minute walk of a great beach for kids at low tide and adults at high tide. Huge 4 bedroom, 3 bath house that easily accommodates 10 guests. Most rooms are gigantic if not too oversized. Very private surroundings and beautifully landscaped but showing definite signs of neglect. Checkin was easy and the house was clean. Beds, for the most part, were comfortable. However, nothing is perfect. House was not completely prepared for summer guests. Closets were in disarray. The kitchen and baths were poorly supplied (not even salt was available and paper goods were minimal to say the least.). Although advertised to accommodate 10 guests, there was not enough utensils for 10 in a single meal. Deck is big but supplied with cheap plastic chairs and there were no chaise lounges to go along with the luxurious surroundings. Mice were observed in the kitchen on several occasions. One major problem is the central AC: the thermostat control for the upper two floors (housing 3 of the homes’ 4 bedrooms) is located in the top master bedroom. It appears to shut off after midnight so rooms are stuffy by early AM. No information was provided on how to correct this. The house has an alarm system, but no information was provided on how to approach it or if it needed to be set and a low-battery alarm occurred. Guests are unable to use the front or rear doorbells as both were inoperative. Lastly, although guests were asked to water several outside flower planters throughout their stay, the outdoor hose connection/faucet leaked badly (and couldn’t be adjusted). So overall, a great place to stay on the Cape, but the owners need to pay more attention to details to make their stay truly enjoyable. Lord knows, the rent is high enough!
