We spent several nights there between Christmas and New Year and Joy had the place decorated with festive seasonal touches. She's put soft things everywhere -- tons of cozy blankets and pillows and soft 'pup covers' so you don't have to worry about the upholstery -- and the kitchen was well-equipped. Our grown children enjoyed having separate bedrooms and bathrooms, and there were many separate places to sit and read, play games, cook, or watch the fire or the view. Plenty of space heaters, just in case, but the gas fireplace kept us toasty on the coldest, snowiest week of the year. The best part was the views of Double Bluff and Sunshine Beach, as well as the path down to the wetlands. Spacious place, well-situated on the island and on the bay.
