Our week long stay June 1st-8th was tremendous!
The cottage was very pretty, and situated adjacent to one of the golf courses on a quiet court.
We were overjoyed with how well-stocked things were, right down to basics like spices (even coffee!). Having two choices for the coffee maker was really great. There was ample paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, facial soap, and other toiletries.
We made most of our meals in, had lobster rolls a couple of times. The Harris Teeter at Freshfields Village had a nice selection of everything (the crabcakes were great). It's even close enough to bike to. Look for various events during the week there. There was a decent farmer's market, and even live music one evening.
Do go get a drink and appetizer at Rider Cup Bar.
We cycled all over the island - a must, even though our butts were sore, haha
We realized by about mid-week that we had been walking to the wrong "public" beach entrance - the county one. Instead, it is closer to follow the path directly around the pool, and find the beach entrance near where it lets out.
We spotted a few dolphins at low tide at Captain Sam's Inlet, but you have to watch for low tide to get this lucky.
We worked 2 of the 500-piece puzzles during our stay, and watched a small gator on the pond just off the rear porch.
Communication with property management (Susie) was always courteous and efficient.
