Chalet L'Orbeye was lovingly built by a local family that had lived in St Bon for at least three generations. The woodwork, some kitchen cupboards and original windows were made by the owner who was an artisan carpenter (and ski instructor!) so that chalet has a lovely homely feel, and is surrounded by its own Alpine garden. There are four balconies (one for each bedroom), the views are tremendous, and it is a great base for both winter and summer holidays.
We had looked at many chalets, but the classic style of Chalet L'Orbeye, great location, and the Alpine wooden homely feel meant this was the chalet for us!
In case you're wondering apparently Orbeye is the name of a tree!
The location is perfect for getting to the slopes (just a couple of minutes) and has a free ski bus stop less than 200 m (you can see it in some photos which were taken from the chalet balconies).
