We had a fun time in PR! The host - Alma, Alex and their team are great! Extremely responsive! From the moment we booked throughout our visit, they were "on it"! They are definitely a 5 Star Host! The condo unit itself is a bit older (full of character/charm) but had everything we needed for our visit. It was spacious and met all of our needs. We had six adults and one infant. Fun times had by all! Our unit was a few steps away from the pool and a few minutes walk to the beach. The location is close to restaurants, grocery store, etc. Unexpected Bonus day! Unfortunately, our departing flights were canceled due U.S. Military action in Venezuela. We reached out the Alma/Alex and they immediately responded with a warm and understanding touch. They were able to accommodate us for an extended stay. Much appreciated! We would definitely reach out to Paradise Villas again and recommend them. Happy New Year! Cheers!

Beautiful Secluded Getaway

This was a great spot 40 minutes west of San Juan. The unit was spacious, airy, and clean. We really enjoyed having a full kitchen and being close to a sunny pool and a gorgeous private beach. The property management provided excellent communication and support during our booking, check-in, and stay.

Amazing get-away

Our family had an amazing vacation in Puerto Rico and this place was a key ingredient. Perfect location by the pool and a short walk to the private beach. Highly recommended.

Spring break 2024

Nice clean resort with spacious condos. No beach view but short walk to a lovely beach. The staff was very helpful and took care of everything quickly and efficiently.

Lots of room

Very spacious property with lots of amenities. Communication was very good with the host. Large kitchen and newer appliances. Many areas to hang out and relax on the property and a short drive to many great spots around Puerto Rico. Would recommend.

Place was great!! We were right next to the pool with a short walk to the beach. The grounds and condo were well maintained and clean. Any questions we had were answer quickly. Our group included my mom at 89 down to the grandkids at 5 and 7. All thoroughly enjoyed the condo and our excursions thru Puerto Rico. I highly recommend the Lakeside Villas!!

Very relaxing stay with very attentive hosts

We were six adults and it was great to be able to spread out with three large bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and a beautiful large terrace with a view of the water. Alma and Alex were so responsive to us throughout our week. The villa itself was large and the beds were very comfortable but the decor was a bit dated. We had a great time visiting local attractions including the beautiful dorado beach and amenities. Alma was so helpful in advising us how to spend our time in paradise.

Great Place for Young Kids

Our kids, ages 1 and 4, were never happier than when they were in this house. With the pool and duck pond so close by, and the beach and playground a short walk away, they had the time of their lives. The home is clean and the owners are super-responsive. The only drawback is that the kitchen and cookware are out of date and this makes cooking for a family more challenging. But that problem was minor and not enough to detract from an otherwise amazing vacation.

Lakeside Villas

My wife and three adult kids stayed at Lakeside Villas for a week of vacation in March 2013. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The vacation was arranged by Alma, who could not have been more accommodating. She was extremely helpful prior to the trip answering questions and coordinating the arrangements. The weather was gorgeous. There is direct access to a very nice soft sand beach at the nearby Hyatt. The complex facilities are attractive and clean, with a very nice pool facility. Our villa was 3 BR and 3 baths, with a nice sized living area and excellent kitchen. We rented a car through Dorado Tours, which worked out very well. There are a number of very good restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend Lakeside Villas.

Private and Peaceful

This villa is big with lots of room for our family vacation. 3 bedrooms all have there own bathroom That was a big bonus. Right off of the patio is the pool which we had to ourselves most of the time. Getting to the beach is less than a five minute walk. You do have to call security to unlock the chairs. Then you drag them down to the beach and back. The beach is a cove that was very private. You share it with the Hyatt Hacienda. But rarely did we see a lot of people. The kitchen was a great size and worked well for us. Loved the large dinning table. We did have a couple of problems with the house. All of the toilets stopped working because of a water main brake in town.The on site manager named Alex came and flushed out all the toilets for us. Even with a couple more minor issues Alex was always there to take care of it. It can be hard to find the Villas. But that's pretty standard for all destinations in PR. You just have to be aware and turn right even though you think it's wrong. The Villas are secure 24 hours a day with a guard on duty all the time at the front gate. Overall the Villas was a quiet and peaceful spot. It is a 40 minute minimum drive to San Juan from here. So if driving is not your thing, you should take that into consideration.

Hi! We had a wonderful time! The Villa was gorgeous and nicer than pictures showed! Spacious for a family of 6! The kids didn't want to come home! One of our favorite vacations! Location was great! We travelled all over the island in a rental !

Puerto Rico Family Vacation

This was a great place for our family of 8 to stay. Great kitchen, comfortable seating, plenty of amenities, including a pool right outside your door, and a short walk to a nearly private beach! We rented cars, and visited El Junque, Cerro Gordo hiking trail and beach, Arecibo, Fajardo, Culebra and Flamenco Beach, and went deep sea fishing, snorkeling, and ziplining. A great trip with excellent suggestions from Alma and Luis!

Wonderful stay at the Lakeside Villas!!!

Our stay at the Lakeside Villas was wonderful. The villa is simply stunning and beautiful. We stayed there for a week with family and we couldn't be happier. My only regret is that we had to leave. The villa is spacious with amazing high ceilings which give it a majestic look. The pool is literally outside your patio door and it was fantastic. The villa has everything you can possibly need from pots and pans in the kitchen to beach chairs. Whenever we had a question about anything Alex was there to help us. The villa is ideal for family getaways. It is extremely comfortable. The villa is situated close to everything from beaches to restaurants. You cannot go wrong with this property and I can't wait to go back. Thank you Alma!!!!

Perfect for our Family

We traveled to PR for Spring Break with our three kids (6,4,2) and had a wonderful time. The Villa is an easy 30-40 minute drive from the airport. We arrived and the fridge was stocked full of essentials and dinner was delivered from a local BBQ place. Alex was wonderful and took care of everything (including delivering a blender so we could make Pina Coladas). After arriving we walked out on the veranda (the perfect spot to sit, relax and have meals) to a lush lawn, a pond full of friendly ducks and turtles and a large swimming pool equipped with a 1 ft deep baby area and 4 ft max depth throughout the pool. A perfect setup. The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes and we literally had it to ourselves. A short walk to the other end of the beach revealed an area protected from the waves and a perfect area for our kids to swim. The villa was equipped with all the umbrellas and beach chairs we needed. The Villa itself is spacious and includes a large living area and kitchen. WIFI worked great as did cell phones (no extra charges for US carriers). Venturing out was also easy and fun. The town of Dorado is close and full of restaurants and shops. There are two grocery stores (SuperMax and Amigo) within a 10 minute drive. The local food was fresh and delicious. We took day trips to old San Juan to walk around and fly kites and another trip to the rain forest. Close to the villa is beach/park called Cerro Gordo. It's the local public beach - very lively, fun and safe. There are hiking trails nearby which offer sweeping views of the ocean and waves crashing and spraying on rocks. I didn't know that PR was so beautiful. The combination of the convenience, service, location and beauty made Villa de Palma the perfect choice for our family vacation.

Great house and location for a family trip

We took our family Christmas vacation here and it was a perfect setting for our purposes. My wife and I have a 16 month old kiddo and we met my parents and sister for a week vacation. There are 3 bedrooms with their own bathroom so it's very comfortable. There's also a great kitchen and living room, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The house is also fully furnished so you can live like you're home while you're away. Alma, Alex and Louis are also very friendly and helpful at all stages of the booking and during the stay. The real plus with this property is the location. You exit your back patio door onto a nice veranda, that has a grill if you want to use it, a table and a couch. The best pool in the community is right there, 20 steps away. Also close to the sports courts and the lounge and the beautiful, semi-private beach is an easy 5 minute walk. We felt like we woke up in paradise every morning. The only con I would mention is that if you expect a 5 star pampered experience this isn't the spot for you. No spas on-site, the accommodations are nice but they're not close to luxury. It's like you're staying at a friend or family member's house, not a hotel. There was no replacement toilet paper in the house besides the rolls that were installed when we arrived. No big deal, we bought some at a nearby grocery store, but that's kind of representative of the lacking frills. But by no means did it deter our good times. The house was perfect for our family's needs and wants. Nobody enjoyed it more than our toddler. The saddest she ever was was when we had to take her out of the ocean. She fed the ducks in the little man-made lagoon each morning. She ran around the house without making us nervous that it wasn't baby-proofed enough. We also rented a high-chair and a crib from Alma for a small additional fee.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE- beautiful villa and beach

The photos of the place and beach do not do it justice. We were delighted when we saw how spacious the villa was and how close to everything the location. Alex and Alma were awesome, from when we booked till we left they checked in with us and made sure evertything was going well. Alma really knows the area and we went on a great snorkeling trip. Alex recommended Metropol restaurant, which was great and reasonably priced (we went for lunch) My husband golfed at the Ritz Reserve course 5 minutes away and my girlfriend and I went to old san JUan on the near by ferry. Fabulous vacation, we can not wait to come back.

Great place!!

Roomy!! Comfortable!! Fun and Beautiful. Loved the view of the lake and the pool from the back porch. Relaxed by the pool every evening!!! Great for big families!!

Three weeks in paradise doesn't say enough

The property was exactly as described as on the website, beautiful and fit for a king. Everything you needed was there and if not all you had to do was call Alex and he would provide. The unit was spotless inside and the grounds were beautifully maintained. We planned this trip two years in advance to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and once the time came the three weeks flew by. All our guests were taken back by Villa and the grounds. They still can't stop talking about the wonderful time they had here and exploring Puerto Rico. We also had a chance to meet Alma and she invited us to be her Guest at an after party at the Ritz Carlton. Another great memory! This is a place I would recommend for family and friends who want to get away from it all and explore on their own. We visited the Camuy Caves, Arecibo Telescope, Dorado Beach and Old San Juan a must. There is plenty to do and see for everyone. We will be back. Steve & Jenny

We first rented this property for a year from the original owner after we had stayed at a nearby hotel for a family vacation and fell in love with area. When it came on the market we did a lot of research as to other areas and properties in PR and concluded that Dorado was the best vacation spot for our family!

The weather is fabulous- dryer than other parts of the Island. Our beach is a WHITE SANDY beach that feels very private. The town of Dorado is minutes away with great restaurants, nightlife, shopping, cinema and hiking trails.

There are TWO resorts nearby and you can enjoy water sports, massages and other spa services, fabulous dining, kids programs, championship golf courses and more!

The Ritz purchased the old Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort and upgraded it to a 5 star luxury property- this has attracted amazing restaurants and activities in the area. The Ritz has created a nature reserve on the property and developed an amazing waterpark, fitness center and upgraded the championship golf courses located minutes away from our home. Some of the resort amenities are available to our guests, including the spa, restaurants, golf, water sports and more!
