We booked waterfront, but this house was BEHIND another house and had VERY LIMITED views of the water! Even the picture used for this review was the house we were supposed to get! But we got an orange house behind this one. I called the property manager, and she was sweet, but offered no options. She insisted it was my mistake. However I have screenshots of the pictures used to advertise what we were booking, and that's NOT what we got. It became a blame game, where no one else was to blame but me. The manager said they dont do the advertising, so it definitely wasn't their problem. They can't control it if VRBO misrepresented the home they advertise. UGH! So I guess the only one responsible for this mistake is me for trusting VRBO.
The home size, layout, and newness was amazing. At first glance it was very clean. But if you rent one of these places (Prickett Rentals), don't walk barefoot on those floors. Our feet were black when we did. The floors were gross, and there were beer cans and trash under the beds and couches! All in all we made the most of a very disappointing situation. The beach was beautiful! The dryer never worked. The maintenance call was handled well, but even after the repairman left the dryer didn't work. Lastly, don't pass out when you get the extremely high cleaning fee, and all the other ridiculous fees that come with your bill. Soooo DISAPPOINTED!
