I work in real estate. Day in and out, my hours are consumed by it. I love it. It's become a core part of my identity. BUT, every so often, I need a break. And I often choose my breaks on a whim. So when I heard that there are a species of fireflies in NC, on the opposite side of the country, that glow an eerily beautiful blue hue and hover all around a nighttime forest like something out of a picturebook, I knew I had to go at least once. What I did not expect, was the cabin itself to be an experience that was a near-second to the glorious display I witnessed in the Pisgah National Forest this past weekend. It was clean and well-maintained. It was rustic, simple in all the right ways, while having really everything a modern tourist needs. And with an extraordinarily diverse ecosystem right in the backyard where the stream ran through, I really can't say anything bad about this listing. I'll be back, likely as soon as next year, same time.
