Lake Maggiore, beautiful villa with pool and large garden on Lake Maggiore

At 500 meters from Lake Maggiore, we offer beautiful two-story villa, sleeps 12 + 1 single room (extra cost) surrounded by a large garden and equipped with swimming pool (12 meters by 5 meters) with solar shower and garden furniture, bathroom / shower in the pool area, barbecue. The pool and 'Habitable from 15 May to 15 September.
Downstairs, with various exits directly on the garden, there is a large living room with a bar corner and a game table; 2 double bedrooms + 1 double or twin bedroom, 1 large double room with lake view each with its own bathroom. Additionally, there is a single room (extra cost).
Upstairs, large dining room, sitting room and lounge with satellite TV that opens onto a large balcony where you can comfortably dine overlooking the lake and mountains. Always overlooking the lake, there is a large double bedroom with its own bathroom. On the back, a spacious double bedroom also with its own bathroom.
The kitchen is habitable, very large and equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, 2 fridges. A laundry area with washing machine and dryer and ironing is available.
In the garden: volleyball/badminton court and ping-pong table; on the veranda: table football.
Wi-Fi and 'active inside and outside the Villa.
Cots for children up to 2 years and high chairs are available on request.
The car and 'indispensable for shopping, touring and short trips, with the possibility' of parking inside the property.
The area where 'located Villa Ortensia and' very quiet, and a short distance and 'can find grocery stores, restaurants, bars and the train station.

A hidden gem

The villa and its facilities far exceeded expectations, it is so much more beautiful in person and the setting is idyllic. The walk back up the hill from the small marina area is not too difficult but well worth it for the views of the lake and the waterside restaurants.

Wonderful Villa on the Lake

The pictures don't do it justice. This is a fully equipped large Villa with fantastic views of the lake. We had 10 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. We each had our own ensuite bath. The Villa is walking distance to some great restaurants and plenty of activities. The large pool was a big plus...I swam every day. I highly recommend this property

A jewel on Lake Maggiore

It's a dream house! Large, spacious, authentically furnished. All amenities available, everything very clean and well maintained. The property is huge with a perfectly maintained garden, large, clean pool, volleyball court, lemon trees, lots of loungers, chairs and tables. The equipment was more than complete. We have never had a house that was better equipped. The contact with the agency, the owner and the caretaker (lives next door) was perfect, we would love to come back!

Perfect base camp for experiencing Lago Maggiore

Big house fit our large family group perfectly. The surroundings are beautiful and the house fits right in. The pictures really don't do it justice. The host is very responsive and took care of anything that came up right away. The location is an easy walk to a couple cute restaurants on the lake, and an easy drive to the ferry in Laveno as well as lots of other highlights. Only downside was the lack of air conditioning, but there was only one night where we missed it.

Fabulous On Lake Maggiore

This property exceeded our expectations in many ways. Great rooms to meet or to find seclusion. Bedrooms and bathrooms were generous and well appointed. Period antiques make this location so charming. Dennis went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. This was a family trip for 11 people and we never felt crowded or uncomfortable. Marella was wonderful during all of our communications and made the experience easy to enjoy. Wonderful!

great family holiday

Brilliant! Perfect for family groups. wonderful villa with exquisite gardens and plenty of playing space for kids. Lovely pool (but very deep - kids need to be watched). Rooms are large and comfortable. Wonderful views over the lake. Very close to bus stop and train station. Close to Lago Piazza with good restaurants (but none open in early morning), rocks for jumping into the lake, lovely outlook. Allis good but would have been nice if fans had been provided (very inexpensive) during the hot weather.

This is a classic Italian villa with beautiful grounds and scenic views of the lake and mountains. The garden is beautifully kept and we enjoyed using the pool but sadly couldn’t make the most of the grounds due to the poor weather. Dennis the house keeper was incredible and always on hand to answer any questions we had. We did not have a car so we used the local transport - the bus stop and train station is less than a 5 min walk away. There are many towns and villages to explore close by, Porto valtravaglia, Laveno and Luino to name a few. There was everything you needed in the villa, lots of floats and toys for children and sports equipment for adults and kids alike! The villa is very spacious (there were 14 of us) however the kitchen is on the smaller side. The additional cost for another room wasn’t listed even though we booked for 14 we still had to pay an extra eur 150 for an added room which was disappointing. You also have to pay for utilities at the end of the stay - so make sure you read the small print before you book. (We were aware) Despite this, Marella the house host was always very responsive and I’d recommend this villa for a family or large group stay. Very peaceful and serene with very friendly locals!

STUNNING authenic Italian villa and experience!!!

Villa Ortensia was absolutely perfect. A spectacular, historic villa and a short walk down to a charming little town. We loved Calde's Polenta Festival, a fun communal dinner with live music. The villa was immaculate, beautifully decorated in Italian style, and extremely well appointed with everything one could possibly require. Serenity and privacy, in lovely impeccably manicured gardens and grounds (with a groundskeeper, robot lawnmower and fresh figs off the tree), The villa includes a pristine pool with mountain and lake views, change/shower room and lots of comfy chairs to sit and enjoy. The location while quiet, is very convenient, a few minutes to the town of Laveno where we started our private guided boat tour of the Borommeo Islands, a short drive to Lake Como, Stressa or Varese, an easy train ride up to the local market at Luino. Marella the owner, was very responsive and helpful with the booking. Dennis and Laurie are on site in a separate home, and were caring, kind and available to assist us with as required. We are frequent travellers, our stay at Villa Ortensia was an experience of a lifetime and I highly recommend this villa!

Wir feierten den 60. Geburtstag mit der ganzen Familie, jedes Zimmer mit eigenem Bad, Küchen-, Geschirr-und Gläserausstattung mehr als genug.Jederzeit Kontakt mit Housekeeper möglich, er erfüllte auch ungewöhnliche Wünsche. Außenanlage, Pool und Spieleausstattung außergewöhnlich. Wir gönnten uns auch ein 4 Gänge Menü, das köstlich und sehr liebevoll von Roberto zubereitet würde.Vielen lieben Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt.

Wir waren vom 29.06.-06.07. in der Villa Ortensia. Das Gelände ist eingezäunt und daher ideal für eine Familie mit Kleinkindern und Hund. Begrüssungsgeschenke für Kleinkinder und Hund lagen bereit. Eine sehr saubere Unterkunft. Es war alles vorhanden, was das Herz begehrt: Gesellschaftsspiele und diverse Schwimmutensilien für den Swimmingpool. Der wunderbare, grosse Garten mit den vielen Blumen und dem Blick auf den Lago Maggiore waren einmalig. Der Aufenthalt in der Villa Ortensia ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Übertrifft die Erwartung

Waren mit 3 Generation 1Woche in der Villa. 63Jahre bis 4 Monate altem Baby. In diesem Haus fehlt es wirklich an nichts- von der Küchenausstattung , Babyausstattung bis (Pool-) Spielzeug.- alles vorhanden. Es ist an jedes Detail gedacht und sehr liebevoll umgesetzt. Der empfohlene Koch Marco, ist wärmstens zu empfehlen. Alle 10 Personen sind glücklich und erholt nach Hause gefahren. Wir werden sicherlich wieder kommen. Danke an die tollen Gastgeber.!

Hervorragende Ausstattung und Service

Die Betreuung wohnt direkt im Haus nebenan und ist sofort behilflich und sehr freundlich! Die Lage ist auch super, bis zum See und ein paar Restaurants sind es nur wenige (<10min) Gehminuten.

Fantastische week met het grootgezin

In mei hebben we een heerlijke week met het gezin van totaal 13 personen gehad in Villa Ortentia. We hadden een uitstekende ontvangst met Marella, Dennis en zijn vrouw. We zijn uitgebreid rondgeleid. Het huis was zeer schoon. Zes uitstekende kamers. Prachtig uitzicht over het meer. Veel ruimte rond het huis en van alle gemakken voorzien waardoor we veel sportief vermaak hadden. Het zwembad was nog koud maar kon worden verwarmd. We hebben er veel gebruik van gemaakt. Daarnaast veel spellen gedaan (we hadden nogal wat regenbuien) en uitgebreid gekookt. De keuken was zeer goed uitgerust. We hebben ook kok Marco uitgenodigd met zijn heerlijke gerechten. Als er vragen zijn dan kun je altijd bij Dennis terecht. Afrondend: het was een fantastische week aan het Lago Maggiore.

Wunderschöner Familienurlaub

Wir waren 10 Personen, 7 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder & es war einfach perfekt !!! Das Anwesen ist wunderschön, der Pool war für die Kinder das absolute Highlight!! Es war alles für den Pool vorhanden von Luftmatratzen bis Wasserspiele, es gab im Haus Spiele für die Kinder und jedes Kind bekam eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit, besser geht es nicht ! Das Haus war super sauber und es fehlt an nichts. Für uns war es eine perfekte Woche. Supermärkte und ein Restaurant sind in der Nähe. Dennis war immer zu erreichen und war sehr zuvorkommend. Die Villa Ortensia ist einmalig!!

Diese Villa lässt keine Wünsche offen!

Wir hatten eine ganz wunderbare Zeit in der Villa Ortensia. Das Haus ist in allen Belangen top ausgestattet. Die Qualität der Einrichtung ist ausgezeichnet. Es fehlt an nichts. Absolut empfehlenswert!!! Wir waren mit einer großen Familie da und es hat allen (Alter 3-91 Jahre alt) sehr gefallen. Die Verwalterin und der Hausmeister sind immer schnell erreichbar, freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Wat een heerlijke week vakantie hebben wij gehad. Het was nog mooier dan onze verwachtingen. Prachtig huis, tuin, omgeving en erg fijn geholpen door Dennis die ons heeft ontvangen en al onze vragen kon beantwoorden. Het contact met de eigenaresse verliep goed en vroeg zelfs via de mail of alles naar wens was. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Alles in allem ein perfekter Urlaub! Ein uhriges anwesen sehr gepflegt. Dennis und seine Frau waren sehr nett . Es war alles für eine Großfamilie vorhanden ! Preis für dieses Anwesehen gerechtfertigt... der Pool ist traumhaft
