Central Rome

Excellent stay, 2 blocks from the Vatican, could walk to most of the major attractions. Great restaurants close by. The room was perfect for our one week stay, our host was very helpful and friendly!

Fantastic apartment in Rome

This apartment is perfect for a stay in Rome. It has everything you need and the locations is excellent, especially if you are looking to experience the Vatican. It is also close to a major bus line and taxi. The host was absolutely fabulous and had great ideas about where to go in the area. Highly recommend.

Wonderful apratment

The hosts were beyond kind and helpful. The apartment was clean and beautiful. Very close to the Vatican although more of a hike to other attractions. Taxi was easy to get in the morning.

Highly recommend. Maria Pia and her husband are lovely and really take the time to greet you. They are very sweet and helpful. They were available for any questions I had, and gave great recommendations. There is even a lift in the building, which is useful with luggage. The apartment was clean and cosy, and the kitchen had plenty of plates, cups, utensils, and pots and pans for cooking. The location is perfect as it is near St Peter's Cathedral, and my daughter and I enjoyed waking to the centre and along the river to Trastevere.

This Place Checked All The Boxes

My first trip to Europe was made perfect by the host Maria Pia and the perks of their property. Check in was seamless. A clean and equipped studio. A 7 minute walk and you are in St Peter’s Square. A 4 minute walk to the bus. Literally 5 steps out you front door is an amazing restaurant Dai Miei with food, service and prices that beat any place during our 7 day stay. A 2 minute walk to a great family coffee shop for our daily espresso. Maria and her husband went out of their way to help us with any question we had. They were there to help us immediately when a sudden bus and taxi strike occurred. A 5 star location with reasonable prices for everything.

Schöne woche in Rom

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Appartement. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, hatten gute Tipps zuum Thema parken, einkaufen und Bus fahren in Rom. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Appartement war sehr sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Die Lage war gut, gleich neben der Vatikanstadt. Zur Innenstadt sollte man allerdings den Bus nehmen, sonst ist der Fußweg nach einem langen Tag Sightseeing eventuell sehr zäh. Wir können die Wohnung wirklich empfehlen.

Great place with greater hosts!

The apartment is a large-footprint studio with everything you could need for your stay. It is an easy walk to the Vatican and St. Peter's basilica. Even better than the apartment is the hosts. They are warm and welcoming and spent time walking us through the map of Rome and our transportation options. They were even so gracious as to help arrange our train to Chiusi when we were heading out. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - can't recommend enough!

30 Days as a Temporary Roman

For my 70th birthday I wanted to live in Rome for 1 month. Having previously been in Rome, I didn’t want to rush through all the normal sites again, but to live with more of a neighborhood feel. I came alone and wanted a clean, secure and peaceful temporary home. Maria and her whole family live next door and are immediately available and accommodating if necessary. The apartment faces a courtyard which means no street noise. The apt is on the 6th floor and secure. Pluses: washer, air conditioning, bus outside the door, San Pietrini restaurant just a few steps away. 5 minutes to St Peter’s Square. For me, At Mapi’s House has been perfect. 👍❤️🇮🇹

Could not have been better.

Had a wonderful stay for our first time in Rome. As others have stated, Maria was very helpful with maps, transportation options and food recommendations. Nice clean apartment with everything we needed. Couldn't have stayed in a better location.

Lovely stay..

This is a great - AWESOME location - close to major sites, public transportation & restaurants. Maria the host was very nice helpful.. The apartment was clean quite and had all the amenities needed. Highly recommend !!!

Bright, clean and a short walk to the Vatican!

This was our first time staying in an apartment in Europe and it couldn't have been better! Maria Pia and her husband were gracious and generous hosts. When we arrived they invited us into their home (just across the hall from this apartment), offered us a cappuccino and told us all about the neighborhood, where to eat, what to do and how to get around. They both speak very good English and were readily available via texting and WhatsApp. The apartment was just as described and pictured with plenty of extra sheets, pillows and towels. Doing laundry in the mini washer in the bathroom was an excellent bonus. The elevator to the 6th floor was also a big plus. We felt very safe and secure in the apartment, the front door seems to be made of steel with a massive dead-bolt. Air conditioning was good to have, although the unit seemed to struggle to keep up with the blazing heat wave in the middle of July. The south side of St. Peter's Square and the Vatican is just up the street, not even a 5min walk! Several restaurants and places for gelato on the way too. There's a grocery store the opposite direction, maybe a 10min walk - just don't forget, you have to weigh your own produce! Overall, due to Maria Pia's hospitality, we felt as if we were staying with friends!

Vatican apartment

Great location! Close to bus stops and plenty of restaurants!! It was very hot during our stay, European heatwave, so the air conditioner was an added plus. Plenty of room for myself and my two teenagers. Apartment had everything we needed and was very easy to talk with the owners regarding details of the stay. Owners provided a map and several phone numbers for taxi service and airport transfers. All in all was a great week!!

Clean, convenient, and friendly

The apartment is located very close to the Vatican, just a short walk away . There is also a bus stop very close for bus 64. Beware of pick pocketers on the bus...poor guy on the bus next to us lost his wallet to a women that jumped off the bus at the last minute. The apartment is very clean, WiFi is strong, and Maria is very helpful with directions. We would definitely stay again. Blake

Visit to Rome & the Vatican Museum

The apartment was very nice. Maria could not have been nicer or more accommodating. It is in a Very Nice Neighborhood. It is within walking distance of the Vatican. It has a washer, English speaking TV, Elevator, Grocery & Restaurants very close, Bus stop very close. I would not hessitate staying there again.

Great place and location

Maria’s apartment was a great choice for our stay in Rome. It was a 5 min walk from the Vatican and right near the bus stop for downtown. The neighborhood was quiet and away from all the commotion of the big city. Maria was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants, etc. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Rome and a big part of it was due to our beautiful hosts. The location was perfect and the apartment was perfect in every way.

Superb Location

What a find this cute apartment was! Maria and Luciano would the perfect hosts and a wealth of information about their community. The location was the best! Just a short one block walk to the Vatican. Everything you need as far as food is right in the block and we were not disappointed in their suggestions. The apartment has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We will definitely stay here every time we return to Rome and refer our friends.

Very Nice Apartment

The apartment is in a great location, especially if you’re visiting Rome for the first time. It is about a 5 minute walk to the Vatican which was ideal for our stay. I would definitely come back here if I were to come to Rome again.
