Not a penthouse, not a new building, not cleaned and very noisy.
This home is not a penthouse (there is a unit above it) and the apartment has been renovated, but it's in an older building with old windows that don't block outside noise and an elevator that had an exhaust fan with a constant chirping noise that made sleeping or even watching TV difficult. (We were told a new fan is on back-order.) There is no central AC, just three wall units that are incredibly loud and were not powerful enough to keep up with the summer heat so when trying to sleep, we had to choose between the bedroom unit blasting air so loud we couldn't sleep, or to turn it off and roast. Also, the apartment had not been cleaned properly before we arrived. There were dead bugs everywhere, a dirty toilet, pieces of food in the dining and living rooms, dirty floors, etc. Oh, and they did not provide hand soap, shampoo, laundry soap, or soap for the showers so we had to buy our own. Also, no hair drier and the towels were old and tattered and the sheets were cheap polyester ones. The photos look beautiful which is why we rented it, but we were unable to enjoy our stay with so many problems.
