The Cozy Cabin at Cabins on the Square is our smallest and most intimate stand-alone cabin, designed for couples seeking a romantic, private getaway in an unbeatable downtown Wimberley location. Tucked along the edge of the property, this detached cabin offers its own charm and a peaceful retreat just steps from the heart of town.

The space is intentionally compact, with a cozy layout and a smaller private bathroom. There isn’t much extra room beyond what you need—but that’s part of the appeal. If you’re looking for a charming, private cabin rather than a spacious suite, the Cozy Cabin is a great fit.

Sleep comfortably in a king bed dressed with ultra-soft Comphy® sheets, a down comforter, and plush pillows. The private bathroom includes a walk-in shower, thick soft towels, and complimentary toiletries.
Amenities include a mini-refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, and Smart TV with cable. Step outside to your private porch—perfect for quiet mornings or relaxed evenings.

Guests also enjoy shared access to 200 feet of spring-fed Cypress Creek, including a creekside deck, table seating, and shaded areas to unwind. Despite the secluded feel, you’re right in the middle of downtown Wimberley—walk to coffee shops, restaurants, live music, art galleries, shopping, and local events. Free private parking is included.

Cabins on the Square sits next door to our sister property, Gaines Ranch on the Square, making this an ideal option for couples traveling alongside friends or family staying nearby.

Access to everything, but also quiet

My husband and I had a wonderful 2 night stay in the cozy cabin! The weather was gorgeous, so we sat by the creek, enjoyed the fire pit both nights, and the little cabin was tiny, but perfect. If the weather was not great, it might be a bit tight, but we really spent most of our time outside enjoying the area. All of the shopping and restaurants were less than a 5 minute walk. We did not move our vehicle for the entire stay because we didn’t need to. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Stay Right on Cypress Creek!

What a beautiful, serene property right on Cypress Creek. The location is perfect. Walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the trail to Blue Hole. Our room was clean and the beds were so comfortable. We will definitely be back!

If you want to be in the middle of Wimberley, this is the place to stay. Cabin was very nice. It is also very small.

Perfect

The property was so peaceful, spotless, adorable, super convenient. You could walk to everything! The creek that is behind it we enjoyed sitting in the chairs and relaxing. The cabin that we stayed in was great for 2 people. We have a larger group that wants to go back and we will look at renting the amazing house that is on the property too along with the cabin that we stayed in. Highly recommend this if you need a quant get away. The owners were so accommodating and super easy to communicate with. We will be back on the regular.

Great location

The cabin was a great location for all the shopping we did and for great places to eat. I did not give it all five stars only because it was a bit smaller than expected, but it worked out fine. I also felt it was a little pricey, but again, the location is what made it something to over looked. We pretty much parked once and hardly ever moved the car. I would totally stay here again but would maybe pick one of the other cabins with more room.

It was a busy weekend . Privacy was a concern at moments . Random people do just walk up and take pictures while I’m enjoying my stay . But that’s on them . No social decorum. The cabin was great . The room clean . My wife and I loved it . The area is a 100% walkable . Coffee was great .

Beautiful property, clean and definitely cozy! Great location for just walking around the Wimberley Square. Lots of great restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again, hopefully the creek will be flowing next time!

Best place in Wimberley

Perfect spot to explore the town and surrounding areas. Was just my wife and i but would be tons of fun to rent out all the rooms. Did not need to drive anywhere in town once you arrive and i honestly think the pictures of this place did not do it justice you must see for yourself!

cabin was tiny and cozy air condition worked really great had a nearby, river and deck , cabin is located right in Town Square everything within walking distance, restaurants shops, and bars, very clean cabin grounds. My wife and I had a wonderful time celebrating our wedding anniversary.

Comfy Cabin

The cabin was very small but very comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit with a bottle of wine. Everything was provided all we needed to think about was our meals but that was not a problem because there were many nice restaurants In walking distance. We also enjoyed a play at the Wimberly Players theatre. It was a very relaxing and fun getaway. Would definitely come back.
