Beautiful views of the Dordogne river
We had a wonderful holiday despite more rainy days than expected.
The house is much as advertised, however there are some issues we need to mention and have already mentioned to the owner:
When we booked the house we mentioned that we would be bringing our sweet and well-begavede labrador dog and they replied that he was welcome, however they failed to mention that they have at least 4-5 cats on the property. This made our holidays a lot less relaxing as dogs and cats do rarely get along 😅. So instead of letting our dog run around without his leash as we had expected, we had to keep him on a leash most of the time as the rented part of the grounds is not fenced of from the rest of the grounds, and the owner’s house is vey close by. Also, the cats seem to prefer the gravel just outside the entrance to the rental house for “doing their business “ which smells quite a lot.
The otherwise beautiful terasse by the pool really needs replacing of its deck planks as you can get splinters in your feet. We got around the problem by always wearing sandals 😁.
We did miss more cushions for the iron chairs by the house as well as sun bed cushions by the pool.
The kitchen was very well equipped- except for a bread knife. We used the small steak knives, but a big normal bread knife would be better 😁.
Even though we mention these things, we still highly recommend this Holliday rental 😁. And the owners are very nice people who recommended several very good places 😁
