The property was perfect for our party of seven. Good size bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and nice living area. Outside space was excellent with a big dining table and gas grill. The pool was excellent and at just the right temperature. The tennis and petanque court were an added bonus. The owner was very helpful and made us feel welcome. The house is in a very pretty village with nice walks along the river. Overall a great property for adults and families

A really nice holiday

We all enjoyed our stay and communication with the owner was excellent. It's a perfect house for teenagers, they played tennis, badminton, boules and the WIFI was pretty good. The highlight was the pool which was fantastic and warm enough that the boys even swam when it was raining. The house had everything we needed for a self catering holiday and we cooked every evening. We had a few very hot days and the house stayed cool inside. We liked Arcais and enjoyed hiring a boat and eating at the restaurant by the river. We used the small supermarket a few times and it's really well stocked.We had days out in La Rochelle and the Ile de Re which are not far at all.

A super-relaxing place in a great location. The house was very well equipped and the tennis court and pool well maintained. We had a great family holiday here. Everything you need is close by - a well stocked Co-op, amazing restaurants and lots of activities, if kayaking, walking or cycling is your thing. Host was very helpful. Highly recommended

Super séjour au coeur du marais poitevin

Nous avons passé un séjour en famille très agréable dans un gîte spacieux, confortable, très bien équipé avec au programme promenades, baignades, parties de tennis et de pétanque et, pour couronner le tout, une météo idéale.Un cadre idyllique pour se ressourcer et profiter pleinement tous ensemble. Parfait !

Nous avons loué cette maison pour notre famille avec les grand-parents et tout s'est très bien passé. La maison est très jolie et le cadre de la maison est grandiose. Merci pour l'excellent accueil des propriétaires. A recommandé.

Perfect verblijf.

We hebben met totaal 9 personen een week in dit ruime huis vakantie gevierd. Het huis is voorzien van verwarmd zwembad (28 gr) en tennisbaan met betonvloer. Beide perfect. Onze kinderen tussen 14 en 21 jaar hebben er samen met hun ouders veel plezier gehad. ‘s-avonds spelletjes op het terras. Het huis is ruim en schoon. Keuken riant en voorzien van grote eettafel (10 pers). Op het terras beschik je over een planchet (bakplaat op gas). Een kleine supermarkt is op 200 m afstand aanwezig, ook voor het dagelijks verse brood perfect. Enige opmerking is dat het lossen van de vrachtwagen voor de supermarkt steeds vroeg in de ochtend (4:30 uur) gebeurd wat met de ramen van de slaapkamers geopend, geluidsoverlast veroorzaakt.

Séjour très agréable. Hôte accueillant et réactif. Environnement au top !! Piscine, tennis, terrain de boules sur place et très bien entretenus. Commerces, office du tourisme et promenades à proximité immédiate. Petit bémol concernant les pièces d'eau et toilettes : seulement 2 salles de bain pour 7 adultes et 2 enfants, un peu juste pour l'organisation avec un départ du gîte à 10 heures....

Beautiful house and gardens

We had an absolutely lovely week here at the end of August. The host met us with his two sons who both spoke excellent English. We were two families of 4 and the house was a perfect size and very clean. The pool and tennis court and gardens were fabulous. The lady who runs the Coop up the road is lovely and smiley and it sells enough of everything that you could probably just shop there if you didn't want to drive to a bigger supermarket. We also went to Le Patio which is literally a few minutes walk from the house and the food was amazing. A short walk up the road takes you to a pontoon where you can hire boats to paddle up the river and there is a cafe/bar selling delicious ice creams overlooking the pontoon. Would recommend Ile de Re, we went twice and the beach at Gros Joncs was really beautiful with soft sand. Lovely area and a really relaxing break thanks to this beautiful property.

Superbe week end

Très agréable weekend en famille sous le soleil et la chaleur. Avons profité de la piscine, du terrain de tennis, du jeu de pétanque. En soirée, le billard a fait des heureux. Ce gite est une splendeur tant à l'intérieur qu'a l'extérieur . Propreté au top. Adresse a recommander.

Charmante location

Tres bon séjour dans le village d’Arçais. La propriété est bien agencée avec une belle piscine. Les propriétaires sont facilement disponibles.

Bien exceptionnel

Maison très agréable et très propre autant à l intérieur qu à l extérieur. Chambres très grandes et literie de très bonne qualité. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et super gentils. Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour nous serions bien restés plus longtemps. Une adresse que nous allons garder et recommander autour de nous ça c est sûr. Merci à Mr et Mme cadet et continuez comme ça
