`Limbertwig` cottage is one of three vacation rentals on Five Apple Farm. This newly constructed cottage offers mountain chic comfort, in a family farm setting.

Snuggle up next to a coxy fireplace and enjoy quality time and home-cooked meals in the well-appointed kitchen. Adventure during the day to your heart’s content knowing that plenty of comfy beds and a full-size washer and dryer await your return. `Limbertwig` sleeps six, including a master with king bed and full bathroom upstairs as well as loft with two twin beds, and a bedroom downstairs with two twin beds and a full bath.

Our serene mountain cove location at the base of Shortoff Mountain offers a peaceful getaway with apple trees, a lush pasture, and picturesque grounds to explore on our walking trail or just to take in while enjoying the glow of the fire pit. Tucked away just a short walk from area hiking trails and minutes from breathtaking views and local attractions in Highlands and Cashiers, Five Apple Farm offers the perfect mix of relaxation, quality time, fun and adventure.

Fall Get-away for our family

Lovely cabin in a woodsy setting, perfect for fall leaves. The house was cozy and the beds comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the location and the wildlife, (my son-in-law spotted a bear!). We will definitely visit again. Short drive to center of town was a plus.

Perfect Accomodations

Relaxing getaway

Perfect place for a getaway from it all! 15 min from cashiers and highlands. Within 30-1 hour of many hikes/ waterfalls. House has what you need.

Wonderful Mountain Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Limbertwig Cottage! The cottage was very well appointed for staying 8 days! Kitchen has everything you need. We loved the proximity to our favorite hikes and to Highlands! The only thing lacking was a broom for the front porch! We would definitely book again!

Lovely Mountain Cabin

This cozy little cabin was perfect for our mountain vacation. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had what we needed to make everything from smoothies for breakfast to gourmet dinners. Everyone enjoyed the deck throughout the day and in the evening we roasted marshmallows at the fire pit. The location was ideal - close enough to town but not too close. We enjoyed morning walks around the property and hiking nearby trails during the day. We especially liked that our dog could stay with us. We can’t wait to go back.

Great get-away in a lovely location!

Everything was new, clean, and fresh. Anything you might want or need was provided. There were plates, silverware, cookware, baking pans, openers, coffee maker, in short, everything for a great stay. The furnishings were up-to-date and stylish including a leather couch, great bedding, fun art, and very nice fireplace. It is hard to say enough good things about this house. Oh, did we mention the furnished deck and firepit? Wonderful for a large family if combined with the two other houses on the property.

Limbertwig Cottage

The cottage is well designed, well furnished, and well equipped. The setting is lovely and the location is very good for spending time anywhere in the Highlands/Cashiers area and beyond. Everything is as pictured and described. A bonus, not pictured is the good quality, full sized washer and dryer. Kept thinking what a great place it would be to have a larger family gathering by renting the other cottages at Five Apple Farm too. The hosts are gracious and very responsive.

Mountain getaway.

We loved staying in one of the cabins at Five Apple Farm. The cabin was wonderful and we used the fireplace and the fire pit often. We had the facility to ourselves for most of our stay.

Beautiful peaceful property!

After a failed trip to Switzerland due to airline issues, my husband I checked for any mountain rentals at the LAST minute. We happened to find this and immediately booked. It did not disappoint! Beautiful property to walk and amazingly peaceful for our stay. The house had everything you would need…we cooked and went out to dinner. The king bed was so comfortable!! Absolutely will be back - what a blessing to have found this!

Quiet Mountains

The property was very nice. Owner was very responsive. The Vrbo listing says gas grill but it is charcoals. If hairdryer is needed make sure you bring one. As well as laundry detergent, paper towels, trash bags and dish liquid.

Complete peace

This was our 2nd stay at Five Apple Farms. What a great escape. Sitting on the lovely porch and hearing not a single thing but birds and the wind and the trees rustling is heavenly. Just a short drive to Main Street, without all the bustle. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will be back.

Five Apple Farm is a special place. A 2400 square foot Gathering Barn, known as "Big Nonesuch" and four beautiful cottages provide for a wonderful place to rest, reflect or enjoy many forms of recreation.

Five Apple Farm is proud of our efforts to be eco-conscience and good stewards of the land. The white pine trees that were removed for the cottage construction on this beautiful property were milled here on site and used in many aspects of the construction process.
