NO Paper at any time is to be placed down the toilets, NO sanitary towels to be placed down the toilet use the small bins next to the toilets for disposal of ALL tissue and empty daily into the big green bins at the front of the developement please. Otherwise the drains may block and you WILL be liable for the cost of unblocking them. (this may sound silly but the sewage man holes and pipes around Cyprus are not up to our Standards we have in the UK). Its not just our developement this is how it is in Cyprus. Hotels have special sewage treatment plants which we do not have. Smoking is permitted BUT please keep it to out side areas and dispose of the but ends in the bins, NOT on the floor or over the back As fires could easily start and again if caught you will be held liable for the cost of the damage. BBQ is for you to use, Keep it clean and free from un eaten food. Carefully watch the fire as with smoking. The patio can become slippery when wet SO be careful and NO running Please. Check the depth of the pool before entering. Safety first. Try to shower before entering the pool to aid the cleaning of the water, Our pool man will appear twice a week to clean. Respect what he tells you about the water. He is the expert. The Air conditioning is for your comfort. Close ALL doors and windows when using it. We can NOT cool the whole of Cyprus. All units are on timers or a sensor. It is better to open the windows up stairs over night with the fly mesh Shut this allows the air to circulate, and once you have acclimatised you will find this better than using the Air conditioning where you can wake up in the night thinking you are in a fridge. The HOT water is heated by solar panels on the roof. there is normally more than enough hot water for all the family to have a wash at the end of the day. The system is fully automatic. Any water problems contact us we will send our maintenance people around. Do NOT leave taps running or hoses as Cyprus is a hot country and has water shortage problems in the summer months. (Normally this has no effect on our usage at the villa) except the pressure may be lower during the day from time to time. The water cooler will be full when you arrive should you want more take the bottle to one of the many drinking water machines and fill it (Normally 1 Euro for 20 liters) Remove the old plastic top and fit the new one do NOT push the small insert out it will come out when you put the bottle back on top of the cooler. The nearest one to you will be at the turning to Zafiri Bar and shop) The WiFi in the Villa is provided by us for your convenience. you should be able to use several devices on it. The TV has local digital channels only some are in English most in Greek. If you have a car, Park it sensibly as at home, Some places In Ayia Napa now charge for parking Read the signage. It will be in English and Greek. Taxis are plentiful But check the prices before you get in. some are better than others. Busses run all the way to Ayia Napa and Protaras and are frequent and cheap. Make sure you have holiday and medical insurance. as thats the first thing they ask for after they have treated you! Hopefully you will not need their assistance. However the pharmacies are good and will help and offer advice. Be sensible and be safe, If its your first time in a very hot climate like Cyprus make sure you drink plenty of water and protect your self from the sun with creams etc. Ensure you lock up and close all the doors and windows when you go out.
