Beautiful tri-level mountain home wrapped in trees in the Okoboji Wilderness gated private community. Minutes from downtown Asheville, and the Asheville airport. Enjoy fantastic views of the Cane Creek Valley and the Blue Ridge mountains from all windows and decks. Follow the winding tree canopy paved road leading up the mountain to our lovely home located at 64 Okoboji Drive. Come enjoy this home away from home! Our home has a great room with a large open floor plan, wood enhanced cathedral ceilings, natural stone wood burning fireplace, and features a 55" Samsung big screen Smart TV. The fully stocked kitchen boasts beautiful granite countertops, professional appliances, cookware to fit most cooking needs, and ample cabinet space. Our home is equipped with a full filtered water system for delicious well water. The dining room has a high top large beautiful wood table with 8 chairs. This main level has large phenomenal valley view windows, comfortable leather & wood furniture, a lift recliner (for those who suffer with leg challenges), and our main deck is equipped with a direct hook up gas BBQ grill with lovely outdoor furniture. The laundry room is located on the main level with dual access via the garage and the kitchen. It includes an LG large capacity washer & dryer, full sized ironing board, and iron. Our mountain home features two official bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and an office/overflow bedroom with a plush queen futon. The master suite on the upper level includes his & her bathroom sinks, full jet bathtub, shower, and a private toilet room. The Master bedroom has a Tempur-pedic memory foam queen bed with fully adjustable features, Smart Samsung TV, private outdoor patio with 2 seat glider, and mini coffee bar. The lower level encompasses a small entertainment room with 50" LG Smart TV. There is one bedroom on this level with two comfortable adult sized memory foam twin beds, a dresser, a full private bath with jet tub, and sliding glass door with full access to the patio. This lower level also features an office with a desk, a queen sized futon with 3" foam pad, full private bath with shower, and a sliding glass door to the patio with Edison string lights, a gas fire pit table & chair set, a 2 person glider, two chase lounges, and a hammock. Our home is equipped with a whole house well water filtration system. Outdoor features: quiet, secluded, woodsy. Private stone path from lower level to upper level, 2 outdoor decks, 1 patio, and 1 front porch. For the private airplane enthusiasts the main patio has a wonderful view of a private grass runway (6 Oaks Airport NC67) where you can sit in the comfort of our home and watch small aircraft take off and land once in a while. This mountain home has astounding views from any angle/window/patio. This home has a no pet, no smoking, and no live candle policy. This home has an exterior (only) surveillance camera system of three. One camera is located near the front door entryway, and two cameras are located above the garage doors. These cameras are for security purposes.

Wonderful Stay!

Such a beautiful location and well appointed house! Communication with the owners was very friendly and easy, check in and out was easy and quick. House was just as advertised, with lovely views, a great kitchen for food prep, nice fireplace and convenient gas firepit also, clean rooms and living areas. Definitely recommend and we would stay here again!

Comfortable, Cozy and Relaxing Mountain Home.

We thoroughly enjoyed this home and location. With beautiful views and so many restaurants and attractions within a short distance, it was a very enjoyable vacation for us. The entire rental process and interaction with the owner was very easy. The availability of mobility assisted living was perfect for us too. This home was well equipped and very clean. Beautiful Mountain Home!

This is an absolutely gorgeous mountain home in Fletcher, North Carolina, and the views are stunning! The home is very clean, the furnishings are very comfortable, and the host was very informative and kind. We all had such a great time and really felt like this was home for our three night, four day stay here. We would all highly recommend this home, and we would love to stay here again.

Fantastic on many levels!

Paula and John have opened up their beautiful, very clean home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So many extras. The views were so relaxing and gorgeous. The location was great for the variety of hikes we did as well as the time we spent visiting breweries and sites in and around Asheville. We would certainly choose this home again!

Calm sanctuary

My adult daughters and I went on girls getaway. This home was fabulous with plenty of room. The secluded location gave us an opportunity to rewind and refresh! The view was inspiring! Summer Family Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The floor plan suited our family perfectly. The kitchen is well equipped which is important to us. We enjoyed the spectacular views from inside and while out barbecuing on the deck. The location made it easy for us to visit Asheville and Black Mountain. Peaceful mountain

My wife and I enjoyed the quiet and peaceful mountain top home of John and Paula. We explored the many hiking options in the area that are all an easy drive to (many just half hour away). One rainy day we drove down to Bryson City and took the GSMR train trip and had lunch on the train. And of course a day to visit the Biltmore Estate; it was worth the expense to get the private tour as well. Finished our trip with hikes around Chimney rock and wine at Burntshirt near the base. We would highly recommend staying here!

Secluded deluxe mountaintop retreat

Everything about this property was of the highest caliber. The hosts have thoughtfully provided all the little extras that make a vacation stay pleasant. Coffee and basic kitchen staples were provided, including baggies and plastic wrap. A box of tissues was on every floor. The guest's comfort was clearly foremost. The house was fabulous with large windows and three spacious decks to enjoy the mountain views. Overall, one of the nicest places we've stayed!

Lovely mountain home in nice location and breathtaking views

We enjoyed our stay at Paula and John’s home. The house was impeccable with a well stocked kitchen and everything was labeled. It was a great layout with a cozy and comfortable feel. The owners truly thought of everything to make it a welcoming spot. The views from each of the outside areas were breathtaking and we loved the location. It was in a spot were you enjoyed peace and quiet but very close to Asheville and a short ride to many places to hike and explore. Paula and John were very responsive and always a pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend their lovely and special place and we had a wonderful time!! Thank you Paula and John!

We had everything in the house that we needed except extra towels and washcloths. We were a group of six and had to call the owners to get more. Come to find out, they were there just locked up in trunks. A code was all that was needed to access. That should have been included in my welcome email. Other than that, it was an amazing 4 nights!! Beautiful views!!

Beautiful experience in a beautiful mountain home!

The location of the house allowed us to have flexibility while visiting Ashville, Hendersonville and the surrounding areas. Everything was within 15-25 minute drive. The house décor is elegant and its furnished with everything you need for a short or long stay. The views are spectacular and you can enjoy these from inside or outside the house. We were lucky to arrive with just the perfect amount of snow to give it that special winter touch, much appreciated as we are coming from South Florida. My wife and I were very happy and had a wonderful time. Definitely coming back! It’s very clean and with the gadgets you need to stay in touch if needed for work and family. The owners are wonderful and quick to respond to any questions. Thank you Paula and John for your hospitality.

Secluded, But Still Close

My wife and I absolutely loved our time staying in this home. (Thank you Paula and John!) As the title states, this home feels very secluded, but is conveniently located. We like to have a trip where we venture out almost every day, but also like to spend time enjoying the house and the beauty it provides. With about a 20 minute drive to South Asheville, we found the location to be perfect. For those looking to do some hiking, we were able to get to spots in the Pisgah Forest within 45 minutes to an hour. The house is also not far from Arden, where there are tons of great take out food options. The homeowners have also ensured that you will have everything you need while staying. We found the items that they have available, beyond the usual cookware, etc., were very thoughtful and saved us a trip to the store on at least one occasion. Although it was only two of us, we also felt that the home is spacious enough for a larger group. Most impressive, however, was the relaxation options in the back yard. While the home does not have a huge grassy area, it is perfect for people who want to sit and enjoy the natural beauty of North Carolina. From the shaded hammock and swing on the bottom level, up to the stunning views from the upper decks, we enjoyed this part of the house the most. We also loved that the large windows allowed us the same views from inside the home as well. This was the best part of waking up each day in the upstairs bedroom. We would highly recommend staying here for your next Asheville adventure.

Mountains and access to Asheville!

Our family of 4 had an incredibly good stay at this VRBO, hosted by Paula and John! We found this stay to be of highest quality for lodging. I sometimes struggle to find a place that is fragrance-free, disability-friendly, but this was. We didn't need the stairlifts, but they were there, as were labels on everything (lightswitches, how to open doors, what cords were for, operations of heated recliner chair, etc.), and handle bars in showers and near toilets. Every detail was thoughtfully attended to, so that the place felt very "user friendly" and was very well-stocked in the kitchen especially. There was plenty of space to spread out and have time to ourselves and a beautiful living room and deck spaces to come together. The views are even more beautiful than in the photos!! Mountains. Wow!! Secluded setting, so you get nature and quiet and beautiful landscaping. Getting to Asheville for dinners or activities you registered for was a scenic 25-30 minute drive which was not an issue at all. The neighborhood is very safe and rather exclusive. We ended up with a large vehicle (due to rental place not having a mid-size SUV) that we parked sideways out front, as the garage fits smaller vehicles. Most don't have garage parking as an option. This home is also very clean with fluffy white towels that felt spa-like. We all agreed we'd stay here again. Communication with Paula was lovely and prompt. We felt very grateful. Thanks!

Step by step notes for the futon, electronics, fireplace, etc. High -quality furniture, linens, BBQ grill, kitchen dishes, pots, pans, K-Cups, fireplace logs, starter logs, dish soap, dishwasher soap, spices, foil, wax paper, plastic wrap. Am I at my house?? New high-quality bedding, mattresses, guest/office futon and the master has a power adjustable bed. Great TV’s, Dish network, surround sound with Bluetooth, USB charging capabilities in many places throughout the house. Good quality/speed Internet with Eero mesh networking. More than enough to stream movies and have a workcation. Plus, a small desk with great view and a 24” monitor to get some work done. The house sits high on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley and hills on the other side. You feel like you are way out in the country but civilization is just on the other side of the hills complete with big box stores, shopping and grocery stores like Ingles, Aldi, Publix and of course a Walmart. Did I say it was clean? Bathrooms, baseboards and floors were spotless, no dust, hair anywhere.

We are family that comes here to enjoy ... family! Along with the peace & quiet of the surrounding forest, the beautiful morning fog, the wildlife, the rain, and the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains! We thoroughly enjoy the food flare of Asheville, and all that God provides through nature in the surrounding areas. We hail from (the equally beautiful) State of Colorado.

Views, views, views! This home feels like home away from home for us. The outstanding views, the Blue Ridge Mountains, the surrounding forest, the wildlife, the peace & quiet, the sunsets, the mountain fog, the rain, kind neighbors ... all of it gives us an incredible appreciation of God's handiwork. (And, it's location to our youngest grandchildren is a big draw for us).

Views, views, views! Tongue and groove cathedral ceilings in the great room, large natural stone wood burning fireplace (floor to ceiling), hardwood floors, granite kitchen countertops, wall to wall windows, surrounding forest, the porch & decks - it is all so magnificent, yet small enough to be quaint and cozy. The natural stone stairway from the road to the lower level winds down mossy fern surrounded foliage to the lower patio area, which is a most peaceful place.

Close enough to Asheville to get there in short order, but far enough away to feel wonderfully secluded!
