We love this part of Spain, the beaches are fabulous and the restaurants in Los Alcazares meet all of our needs.
This beautiful area of Spain is totally uncommercialised and unspoilt.
Los Alcazares has a fantastic coastline with over 7 kilometres of sandy beaches which give direct access to the warm waters of the Mar Menor, "little sea" which is extremely safe for children and also boasts the blue flag, dotted along the beach are a host of chirping units (beach bars) which make fresh tapas, serve cold local beer and are oozing with Spanish hospitality. Parallel to these beaches and running the entire length is the extremely long promenade, which is great for walking and cycling.
The town centre is relatively spread out and has a good selection of shops. There is a good family feel here with many restaurants of very varied cuisine. If that isn't enough there is also the two golf courses of La Serana and Roda, you will also find another 12 courses within a 25 minute drive which includes La Manga.
The port city of Cartagena is a 20 minute drive away which boast many interesting sights related to maritime and Roman history. The airport of San Javier is less than 5 minutes away.
We find it has everything you need for families or for the experienced golfers!!
